Felina's in the Newark Airport is part of the SSP America's group that brings various tastes to the airports. They claim to bring authentic foods that can tell culinary stories while awaiting to reach your next destination. This Italian restaurant is quite neatly maintained. Got the White pesto arugula - no meat option, (more out of curiosity as I really wanted to know what that meant, I thought pesto was always green). I learnt that pesto has nothing to do with green, it actually means to 'crushed' in Italian. The base for the white pesto has walnuts as one of the main ingredients, so if you have nut allergy ..beware! It was still green but had hints of white in it too. Taste was really good. Like most Italian dishes, it was about making it simple and flavourful. Also got the only dessert I saw on the menu, the Tiramisu. This one disappeared in less than 5 min (I think), it was super delicious and totally melted in the mouth. Their rating is low because of their service. Maybe being up and about since 4 am gets on to them....but its not like the customer put them up to that task, is it.... Would definitely want to stop here again, but maybe take a togo.

Probably one of the better airport options. The food was decent but service awful - food takes forever to come out (and then mine came out wrong), and no one stops by to refill your water or is otherwise around to flag down if you have issues. Others near me ordered pasta which looked good.

Avocado toast - can only get it w scrambled eggs

So... was so looking forward to a hearty bfast before my morning flight to find that most things on their online menu did not exist. There's no fried eggs or potatoes so resorted to their avocado toast which I added egg whites to, to find out it didn't exist. I asked the lady then can you give me a cup of coffee since it's about the same cost... she was making a big deal how it was 50 cents more... seriously?! She did ultimately give me a cup but still why make it an issue when their menu needed to be updated so badly! I also ordered a grapefruit juice to then find out that wasn't available. .

Fast service, clean, & kind staff (Carmen was wonderfully pleasant). Bucatini was delicious!!

As airport restaurants go this one was not too shabby! I was greeted with a smile from Elizabeth, the kindest most attentive server I've had at an airport for as long as I can remember (and I travel A LOT!) The food was simple but tasty. No complaints here. But honestly it was the service that was above and beyond. I was surprised to read reviews to the contrary. What I can tell you is if you are at Newark and looking for a good meal with fantastic service come here and see Elizabeth!!

I ordered a pasta to-go and was expecting meatballs as the item I ordered, Spaghetti Pomodero, stated "Felina Beef, Pork, Veal Meatballs and Pomodero Sauce" verbatim. I waited around 15 minutes for the pasta and when I received it, it was only spaghetti and sauce. If you're gonna advertise protein in your spaghetti, I expect at least a few chunks of each item over spaghetti. When I went back to speak to the staff about it, they were disrespectful and rude, expecting me to understand that almost $30 ($29.65 to be exact) gives you a small plate of noodles and that if I had wanted meatballs LIKE IT HAD STATED on the item it would have been an extra $10 charge. The woman at the register tried to argue with me. I ended up getting a refund after standing my ground. If this business wants to improve, give what is stated or edit your menu item. Nobody is going to pay $40 for Olive Garden spaghetti and meatballs with your employees attitudes.

The rigatoni bolognese is absolutely terrible and tasteless. I could barely even eat a few bites. Kraft macaroni and cheese taste better made by a 5 year old. I even tried to add parm and red pepper flakes for some flavor. Still nothing. Such a bummer way to leave the NE with the worst pasta of my life but the milestone has now been met. "Congrats everybody! You Made it! the world's worst bowl of pasta in the NYC area! "

It's an airport restaurant. Pizza was good, but $50 for a personal pizza and small glass of wine wouldn't be a regular go-to for me. Service was friendly but a little slow.

What a cute spot in the new beautiful gleaming terminal a of Newark airport! Service was excellent and the chef Yvonne even came out and introduced herself and asked how I liked my dish that I asked for customization on. I had the kale salad and a glass of rosé and asked to get blackened shrimp added to my kale salad. It was so good! She then complemented their executive chef Ramel. highly recommend you make a stop here on your way in or out of Newark airport! Additionally, the executive chef just came out to surprise me with a Complementary dessert, which he made himself after I shared with him that I was the first to review this business. What a special treat!

As long as you're just gonna eat and drink water, this place has good food but they charge $15 for a beer and $25 for a well drink

It is an…read more"old school" family recipes, incredible service, fantastic food, and simply an amazing restaurant. My only concern is that they don't see to be busy enough for how good they are! We had 6 of us. Every single thing everyone ordered looked incredible. (I mean, I don't really care for muscles, but I could absolutely see the love cooked into even that dish.) I wish them every success and I'm already looking forward to visiting again next time I'm in the area!

"Would you like some lemoncello? Orangcello? Anythingvello?"…read more Angelo, one of the owners, is talking to the table next to us, but already I know I've found a second home. "You won't want to cook anymore" he tells us a bit later. He's not wrong. I had the fish special, cod, served puttanesca, with mash potatoes and spinach. He had the rigatoni bolognese. Perfectly cooked pasta. "Everything is homemade," Angelo explained later. Smart and fairly well-priced wine list. We asked why the 2020 Carparzo Brunello di Montalcino was so low priced, and learned the wine has been priced the same since their father closed their Upper East Side location and the kids opened in Newark. "New York food at NJ prices," Angelo explained. "I've never had tiramisu I've liked better", husband told me. "I've never had flan Ive liked better" I told him. (It is coconut flan.) Great service. Wonderful spot. And Bon Jovi has been in twice, most recently he brought his wife. Enough said.
