My Mini Cooper was acting like it was running on 2 cylinders.. I had it towed there... they're the only one's in the area that worked on the mini coopers... They previously did my thermostat.. charged me nearly $600.00... Well they told me the motor was blown and it was cost upwards of of 5 grand to fix... I junked the car.. then recieved a call a couple days later... Therexwas NOTHING wrong with the car... except a plug had fouled... I'm out over $4000.00 .. what i.paid for it put into it and lost on the sale of it to the junk yard. I wouldn't take my moped to this garage!! It's been a while and it still cuts deep... I've wanted one of those cars for 20 yrs... and I saw something online about them, walts bros. & it brought it all back again... Honestly I'm livid. Took my car in to get the breaks fixed and check everything else out but prior to handing the keys over, I had a conversation about how my car was over 15 years old and how a lot of people are getting older cars fixed because no one can afford to buy new ones. Well the next day after I got the car back, the AC stopped working when it was working fine prior to dropping it off. Fast forward a week -- today i found out my car was leaking oil and died on the side of highway coming home from work. I know my car was old and needed work but she was trucking along great before they ever touched it. Spent over $500 bucks for them to sabotage my car. Never. The. F*ck. Again. read more

These guys are honest, straightforward and reliable. They do good work, fast, and don't go looking for extra charges. They've got really good diagnostic skills (have fixed things on my old car that even the dealership couldn't.) and have great service. They got to know me and my car quickly. read more

Joe is a either a liar and a hack or just a plain bad mechanic. My suspension broke in my saab. I took it to him and i spent $1000 on parts and labor. It needed new struts springs sway bar links and the axle was bent. When he gave me the receipt he said " it looks a little generic because i couldnt list everything i put into your car" later i realized the only thing he did not put on the receipt was the axle. I started hearing a funny noise when turning. Took my car back to him. He took it for a ride around the building and said "oh its a control arm bushing you are fine to drive this car" later that day i had my 9 year old niece my 16 year old nephew and my 62 yr old mother in the car on the freeway and it got much worse. Brought it to a different mechanic that showed me the car while it was on the lift. I was 3 bays away and could tell the bottom of my car was rotted out and didnt know anything about cars. It was my subframe. It actually snapped. Joe put $1000 of my money into a rotted sub frame. When i confronted him about it he said "oh i must have missed that and i dont miss much" i was furious. He ended up having the snapped part welded for me free of charge but still wouldnt admit he did anything wrong. I asked him if the axle was good he said "i looked that thing up and down and couldnt find anything wrong with it" 2 nights ago the axle he put in broke out of my transmission. Thank god for AAA. ONCE AGAIN MY NIECE COULD HAVE BEEN HURT. if that subframe fell apart while i was on the freeway a lot of ppl could have DIED. now im having another mechanic fix the axle the correct way. Word of advice... Drive or tow ur car the extra miles to jp motors in woodbridge ct. If u really have to have this conman put his hands on ur vehicle get a FULL RECEIPT. One more thing... I have been going to Walt's Bros for car service for myself and my sons for years, and will continue to do so. They are reliable in their work and honest in their assessments of what needs to be done. They are also very pleasant to deal with. I wish they had a service for rides because if I can't get someone to drive me twice, once for drop off and once for pick up, I have to sit there and wait. But that's a small complaint and doesn't stop me from going. I called this week with an emergent problem and they got me right in and dealt with it. Walts Bros. is *incredible.* I'm from out of town, and as of this morning, was in an emergency situation. Since it's right before Thanksgiving, I was thinking I was going to be stuck in a hotel room for a week, alone on the holiday, waiting for my car to be fixed. Walts took my car in right away and fixed it during, literally, the time it took me to take a nap. Not only that, but it cost me much, much less than I'd feared (not to mention the money I saved on a hotel room!). Not only *that,* but they were extraordinarily kind, gracious and helpful every step of the way. I'm so glad I called them. I only wish they were located back home so I could keep taking my car to them. :) I can't recommend Walts Brothers highly enough. read more

These guys did an engine install in my newer model Volvo. Not only did the engine break down days after but the shop refused to rectify the situation. The left me on my own to figure it out. I took the car to Parrotta's in Agawam. They were able to fix the car and figure out the issue. The service at Walts is horrible. Wouldn't recommend to anyone. read more

I came here after I was tortured by the West Springfield BMW dealer for four hours with no result. The Walts brothers were very friendly and welcoming. They listened to my complaining about the BMW dealer and were very sympathetic and understanding. They got my car in right away. Thirty minutes later the problem was diagnosed and fixed. The head mechanic (who I think is one of the brothers) explained exactly what the problem was and knew a great deal about my car's history. He was very knowledgable and had a lot of information considering he's only been dealing with my car for 30 minutes. My bill was surprisingly low. I would have gotten charged at least triple that amount at BMW. If I have any more problems in the future, I am definitely coming back to this shop. read more

Wow, these guys are the best ever! Their customer service is through the roof and their prices are better than the BMW dealership! Not only that, they took my car in the same day I called! Does it get better...Yes - Justin went out of his way to pick up my car and drop it off to me - same day. I could not be happier with the service or the price! It takes a lot to get me to write a review - you gotta knock my socks off - and they did!! Visited from out of town for a pre-sale inspection, but wish I lived closer to service my car here all the time. Everyone was extremely professional and went above and beyond in performing a thorough check/test drive of the vehicle we were looking to purchase - and provided a very honest opinion on the state of the vehicle/reasonable purchase prices. Having written the "1-Star" Review previously, I want to provide an update. After receiving my credit card statement, I was preparing to dispute the amount previously charged with my credit card company. However, I decided to make one last attempt to rectify the situation with Walts Bros. and to their credit they responded positively. I informed them that I was willing to pay for the time they spent checking the car and ultimately we came to an agreement to split the fee in half. They credited my card during that call which was appreciated. I remain extremely disappointed with the total lack of corrective service as they misdiagnosed the situation completely and obviously never fixed the initial problem. However, I informed them that I would acknowledge their willingness to adjust the charge. This review is intended to do exactly that. read more

Went in to get some repairs done. Got the call to pick up the vehicle. I inspected the vehicle before leaving and I'm looking at things that shouldn't be the way they looked. Although that issue was corrected, I found another one today with the plugs to the radiator fans not being connected. I'm smh at this because I was expecting great service (reading reviews of this repair shop) being a 1st time customer going to this repair shop. So far, disappointed. Now I have to find someone to look at the vehicle again to make sure everything is intact because this shop is closed for vacation. Feeling ripped off! read more

Brought our Saab to Walts Bros when we thought all hope was lost after a hydro-locked engine. They were reasonable and efficient throughout the whole process. To sum up my experience.... going back and forth for 3 days to pick up my car and drop off my car for service. My car wasnt looked at untill the next day and wasnt worked on untill 2 days later due to a part needing to be ordered, qhich was annoying, but understandable. When my car was finally finished I went to go pick it up, but while driving my car I noticed the sterring wheel was place on wrong. I called the same day explained what happened and was TOLD that it could be placed back on the right way when I brought it back. Long story short I end up going back and was told that it couldnt be placed back on the right way because the car would need an an alineament. For this to happen they would need the car to stay over night, which wasn't going to be looked at untill the next day. I was so upset because they knew the wheel was crooked after fixing and test driving the car, why wouldnt anyone call me and inform me of the situation so things could be handled then and why tell me over the phone the steering wheel can be put back on correctly, but when I get there im told the exact opposite...... their reasons to make more money! Never going back here ever again!!! read more
