Gusto Dogs is really the best! I first contacted Kristen when I moved downtown, and my biggest…read moreconcern was not being able to come home in the afternoons to take my dog out. Kristen and David (one of Gusto's dog walkers, and really, like, the greatest guy) came out to my apartment to meet my dog and set up a game plan. Everything clicked. I wasn't worried about not being there for my dog, and even more important, my dog was happy. But it's been all of the extra stuff that really makes these guys the best. 1) They're pros. These are not neighborhood kids trying to make extra money over the summer. I have absolutely no incidents to speak of. My dog is safe and happy when he's with them. 2) They go out of their way to provide the best service. Whenever I've had to make a last-minute change in my schedule, they've ALWAYS found a way to work around it so they can be there when I need them, even going so far as to rearrange their own schedules. One weekend, my fiance and I had overlapping trips and neither of us would be home for a 24-hour period. Kristen and the team were ready with a plan for swinging by throughout the day, making sure our dogs were fed, taken out, played with, and then put to bed. Oh, and my fiance's dog -- a very big ridgeback mix -- had just undergone serious knee surgery and had a strict medication schedule. No sweat for these guys. When I got home, everyone was happy and healthy. 3) Speaking of my fiance... it actually took me a little while to convince him that it was worth it to get his dog out for the daily walks. He had gone two years without needing someone to take his dog out in the afternoon, why pay someone to start doing it now? But it only took a week for us to notice a difference. His dog is BIG and VERY energetic, but with a 20-30 minute walk in the middle of the day, he's much calmer when we get home from work. Still a big barrel of fun and energy, but not running laps around the coffee table. 4) (And last one, promise) Our dogs love these guys. Their reaction when David shows up is hilarious. It's like their super-fun uncle just got there to take them out. As a dog owner, it makes me really happy to see my dog so happy. So, like I said, the Gusto team is amazing. We plan on using their services as long as they're offered (hopefully, forever). Could not recommend more highly.

We have utilized their services frequently for giving food, medicine, and lots of attention to our cats when we travel. I know that my sweet (and very affectionate) elder cat is in great hands when we are away from home, and am especially comforted when texts and pictures are sent letting me know that everything is ok. Gusto Dogs even has a special little helper who loves to give plenty of gentle pets when she has the chance to visit. They are insured, reliable, trustworthy, and so compassionate about animal care. I never worry for a second when we are away from home.

Both get the care they need, always! The photos I receive of them at play are so helpful, especially when I am away from them for a two week stay. In short, I cannot recommend Zoomies highly enough. My interactions with Mary Jane have always been cordial and informative. Her care for my dogs is evident in the way the place is run, in the employees, and in the excitement my 2 yr. old pup exhibits when he knows he is going to Zoomies!

While my dog loves people, she tends to avoid other dogs due to anxiety, which can lead to her biting them. I find it unreasonable for the owner to require my dog to participate in group play, as she stated. She is not familiar with the temperament of Australian Cattle Dogs. In the past, other boarding facilities have accommodated my request to keep my dog separated from the other dogs, but Mary Jane was unwilling to meet my dog's needs. Mary Jane did not provide me with enough time to find another boarding facility after she declined my request one day before the scheduled daycare session. The receptionist informed me that it was available, but MJ said it was full. Additionally, I asked her to remove my account, and she texted me that she would do so shortly. However, when I checked a few hours later, I found that the account still existed. I texted her, and I still haven't gotten her reply.

From our first contact with Heather to the puppy pick-up at our home (thank you driver Drew for being awesome) to the consistent updates throughout the 2-leg flight journey (Sacramento-Seattle-Houston), every aspect was professionally handled, courteous and informative. We knew exactly what we needed to do to prepare the puppy, all the paperwork needed and how to get everything done. We knew when the driver will arrive and then received updates with every stop, including pictures to show how the puppy was handling everything - right to the point when the owner had the puppy in her arms. Happy? Absolutely Would recommend? Definitely 10/10, would be happy to work with again

The communication and overall experience leading up to the final week was a lot better than the second (more important half) -- our agent Andrew was responsive, thorough, and made what could have been an overwhelming process feel manageable but they did not help make any vet appointments & we were really the ones handling the majority of the paperwork. The final week left a lot to be desired. At our pets' last vet appointment, we discovered the paperwork listed our cats as not being neutered, when they are. This caused unnecessary stress and last-minute scrambling driving all over Austin to get it corrected the day before our move. For the price we paid, we expected that level of detail to be caught beforehand & at the very least some accountability or an apology which we did not receive. We were also advised to reroute our animals' flight from Houston to Austin due to temperature concerns, which cost us an additional $500+ in boarding and flight fees. On the actual day of the original flight, Houston's temperature was only 74 degrees -- well within the safe range -- so the reroute turned out to be unnecessary. Lastly, Andrew, our agent handed us off to a new agent (who we have never spoken to) via a SINGLE text message the day before the flight without any prior notice, which felt abrupt & unprofessional during such a critical and high stress time for us & the pets. We are truly grateful that our pets arrived safely & I want to give big thanks to the Thailand team that transported the pets from Bangkok to Chiang Mai (10+ hour drive). They sent tons of photos & videos of our babies through out the drive and even video called me! Seriously saved the experience for me. After the pets were delivered safely we heard from Andrew when he was back in office asking us to pay the final invoice for the boarding & flight change. I expressed my frustrations via email & asked if the company would do good on the invoice & cover the $500 for the shear unprofessional actions that led up to the flights. We were told we would need to pay & that he "appreciated the feedback". The final stretch fell short of the standard we expected for the investment we made. Hopefully this feedback helps them improve the experience for future clients.
