We were fortunate to go to Maui for two weeks but I was super stressed about what to do with my two pugs as I did not want to board them and one of them is still a puppy. The owner Andrea came to the house for a consultation and meet and greet and I instantly relaxed as she is very caring and professional. She and her other sitter Jill took great care of our pugs and our house and sent text updates to keep me informed. We were having such a ball in Maui that we decided to stay three extra days and the nannies gladly looked after our precious fur children. We returned to a tidy home and happy and calm pugs. I was hesitant to give Lakeway Pet Nanny a try after the not so great reviews, but I called and found out it is under new management, so those angry yelp dummies can just go suck it. I am so glad I tried it out; I went away for 3 days and Andrea was a massive help. My Cuey isn't the best with being around other animals.. or people.. or cars.. or plants, so I didn't want to have to take her to some kennel where she'd be terrified and scratch-y. We have 2 elderly dogs and was very hesitate to go on trip. We decide to give Lakeway pet nanny a try after they came highly recommended by a friend. Andrea and Troy did the initial consultation and immediately you can tell they love dogs(they have 3 dogs)They asked a lot of questions and made lots notes. They gave us 3 to 4 updates a day with lots and lots of pictures. They responded immediately when we text. One of my dog has eating problem and they took the issue to heart and make sure he eats. My trip was worry free. My dogs looked happy and relaxed when we got home (I actually think one of my dog misses Troy when we were home!) This is an expansion of what Ellen J. posted. On Saturday evening our family arrived to our new home very excited. My wife and two sons had never seen the house. I had gone to meet them so I had been gone from the house for 7 days. Because I was away, I had contracted with Lakeway Pet Nanny to feed our long time cat Sami. The owner, Steve was at our house two days before I left and I had felt very comfortable. It was going to be a great welcome to their new house. When we arrived at the house we could not find Sami and I quickly started to notice that she did not have any water, and none of her food had been opened. Ben our oldest son found Sami dead in the corner. It was horrible. Here is the owner's "apology". "Animals pass away as the result of many causes, natural and otherwise, and although there was admittedly a breach of contract on our part, there is no factual reason to believe that the death of the cat was a consequence of that breach. We are prepared to return the funds paid pursuant to the contract as well as the keys to the house." This business has good lawyers but no heart. read more

Lakeway Pet Nanny has a NEW OWNER. Please give Andrea Miller a try. She is young, enthusiast, caring, and really loves animals... having this business is a dream for her. In March, Andrea took care of our three cats,.. Jeffrie, Trigger, and Georgie... and fed our two outside strays...Thunder and Lightning. All was well when we returned after a week... mail on the counter, house in great order, and happy, healthy cats. In April, Andrea said, "I'll be happy to watch them; they are easy!" Little did she know the trouble they would get into. On her second day to feed them, Andrea opened the door to an overwhelming odor of propane gas... they had stepped on the stopcock for the gas outlet behind our dryer, and she heard the loud hissing of gas pouring into the house. Her reaction was quick, responsible, and level headed. Andrea got the cats to safety and called 911. She stayed while the fire department aired out the house and the propane company shut off the gas. Andrea kept in contact with me for the next three days until our return, and even followed up with the propane company! Andrea is amazing... even my neighbor, Carolyn, who talked with her during all the emergency activity, was impressed with her abilities. Andrea Miller most probably saved our house as well as our pets...I hate to think what might have happened. We used Lakeway Pet Nanny for the first time for a week away from our dog this summer. They also agreed to water our plants and take in our mail. The dog seemed okay, but the mailbox was full and the plants were all dead on our return. The owner offered to reimburse us for the plants, but then ignored all our further correspondence. We have been using the services of The Lakeway Pet Nanny for the past year on a weekly bases. I work across town and can't get home at lunch to let my two dogs out for a potty break. The Lakeway Pet Nanny comes over and takes both dogs for a walk. If it's too hot during the peak of summer or the weather is rainy, they take them in the back yard and play with them for a good 20-25 minutes, and then pick up after them. I know they truly love and care about my dogs welfare! I have also noticed since using their services, my little shy dog is more outgoing and warms up to people much quicker than she ever did before.
