The owner spoke to me in a rude and aggressive tone over a simple issue that could have been resolved professionally. Her claim she has given "many free things," is unfounded. She once changed my dog's food without my approval, then charged me for it, that wasn't free, and then left a voicemail calling my dog by the wrong name. How can she claim to know my dog's history if she doesn't even know her name? My suggestions get your story straight before calling. Unfortunately, I've heard similar complaints in the community and they have moved their business elsewhere due to her, the owner, Wendee, disrespectful behavior, which seems to be a pattern. In my opinion, there are other companies that provide better service, more flexible pick-up and drop-off times, and a kinder approach. I can now book flights that fit my budget and choose a care provider that values me and my pet. It's clear there are more affordable and reliable options out there for your best friends, and I'm relieved to no longer deal with the unprofessionalism at A to Z Dog Ranch. Happy trails!

I was told they hadn't even started working on my two dogs but they where about to in a little bit because they where backed up . So I call at 5:22 to see how much longer being that they close at 5:30 and was told they where still backed up and hadn't started on my dogs yet and also they would be done in a while . Ok so I don't care what the excuse is ,I have no clue if the dogs are in cages with water or have been able to use the restroom outside their cages for at least 8 1/2 ho I've avoided places like PetSmart foe this same reason . They say oh your pets just fine we have water and we walk them when in fact they don't leave their cage for like 6 hours straight and don't have water bowls either . Even with water sitting in a cage waiting to be groomed from basically 9:00 am to past 5:30 is insane . At this point I'm within reason of being upset to a certain degree . I get they are behind maybe lack help or whatever but damn if you had too many cuts lined up for one day all you had to say was sorry we are booked and left it at that . I appreciate taking my dogs in but don't understand how a small poodle and Shih Tzu take 9 hours to get groomed . Even with doing one dog an hour which i doubt is the case you'd had to have had 15-18 dogs or more all before them if you had two groomers at the least . Even if you had only 12 dogs before them that's way to much do offer to cut in the time you guys open and close . If it's not then why is taking so long?

You can tell a lot about a person when your dog likes them, and Fido liked Jessica from the moment they met. I would be remiss if I didn't mention all the other nice people at Midtown. To preface, Barnaby is an 18 pound cockapoo and has never bitten or threatened us in any way. I suggested they try coaxing him out with treats, as he loves them, but they claimed it didn't work. It's very hard to believe that someone experienced in dog care couldn't find a way to get him out of his crate. I called several more times only to get the same answer, which left me feeling very concerned. Barnaby was sadly in that crate for almost 24 hours and when we arrived he peed all over himself. I cannot even begin to express how heartbreaking it was to see him in such a state - clearly distressed and ignored for hours. To top it off, the staff had the audacity to tell us Barnaby wasn't allowed to come back. Instead of showing empathy or concern for his well-being, they chose to shut him out. This facility clearly lacks the skill, patience, and compassion necessary to care for dogs, especially those with anxiety or who may require extra attention/care. If you love your dog and want them treated with the kindness and respect they deserve, do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. DO NOT BOARD YOUR DOG HERE.

My first board & train was with my male Belgian Malinois and stayed for 4 weeks with Bella as the trainer. This experience was phenomenal. Great updates on progress with commands and socialization (which was the biggest issue for him). When I picked him up the take home lesson clearly demonstrated the effort Bella and Baz had put into training and showed clear positive results. Demonstration of heel, basic commands and bite were very nice. Because of this experience I traveled from Alabama were I am staying temporarily to have my female Belgian Malinois stay for a 6 week board and train. Bella apparently wasn't available so Paige was the trainer this time around. Through email a command list was provided as well as the request for off leash obedience and intro to trail tracking if possible. The updates started and stayed positive but extremely generic. This was a statement in an update 2 "Saphira has made a lot of progress this week, and we just started e-collar conditioning today! She's already mastered the basics, " and updates such as this continued until it was time to pick her up. 6 weeks later and another trip from Alabama I was looking forward to seeing my pup and the progress she had made. The take home lesson was a DISASTER!!! When first bringing her into the room her level of excitement was clear so I was prepared for more mistakes and issues because she is younger than my male Malinois was during training previously and it had been a while. Paige demonstrated a heel and place which honestly were quite good and I was happy with the on leash demonstration. Off leash heel was less than desirable but a good introduction. The issues became clear when off leash the sit and down command demonstrations were worse than her performance of those commands prior to entering the board and train. The demonstrations became so problematic off leash that I requested her to be put on leash. With some more demonstrations with terrible results it was time for me take the lead/leash. Performance was not good but it was helpful to get the introduction to E-Collar and off leash handling before reverting to on leash. The commands that supposedly were taught (requested via email and confirmed via later email that they confirmed "All of the commands you listed below are the ones she was taught." Continuation marker - yes Terminal marker - free Sit - sitz (seetz) Down - platz (plahtz) Stand - Steh (sh-tay) Heel - foos Recal / come - Saphira Heere Leave it - lass es Out - Aus Only sit, down, heel were demonstrated with the incorrect word (English being used by Paige on several occasions paired with stimulus from E-Collar) in addition to place which I had not listed but was discussed. Out, Leave It do not result in the intended behavior (not sure if trained at all... definitely not "mastered") recall on leash requires her to see a reward recall off leash ineffective sit and down are slower, sloppier, and confusion around which to do that was not the case before training. Stand - saw no change either positive or negative prior to the training. Paige said she worked with her on trail tracking and gave me an intro to continuing that and no demonstration was provided as I am sure that would have been difficult in the time allotted but I have not worried about the trail tracking since she has been home as all of the focus has had to be on the basics that were "mastered". While continued training for the basics is always important with continued training it is as if she is starting where she was 12-18 weeks ago for sit and down. I believe too much focus was put on off-leash training rather than staying committed to the quality of training for the basics. I would have preferred honest updates and feedback with a redirection on the focus of her training to a much higher standard than broad training at a very low standard. if Bella isn't available I definitely won't be going back to Starmark for board and train as my faith in the business and other trainers has been impacted by this experience and through the email exchanges since.

I got the call from Dr. Pittman and they were both professional and apologetic for the delay. I did receive the notes as requested and results we were waiting on. I brought my dog in since our regular vet was closed on weekends. It cost $250 to explore the wound. Once Dr. Pittman "explored" the wound and remove out two small "masses" she didn't know what it was or wasn't confident about next steps. We came back 3 days later for wound check and we noticed my dog had something similar on another paw and she removed that as well but this time sent it for testing. Also my pet insurance has requested visit notes and records to process my claim and I have even tried calling to have them send the notes needed and they still have not sent anything. When I called the receptionist states she has submitted the request and once notes are ready they will send it. Why does visit notes take over a week to do and send? Overall, I think this place makes it very inconvenient for owners as they are not responsive with requests.

Do NOT come here for grooming. And, if you do, avoid Wxxxxxx. (Name intentionally redacted.)…read more------- I didn't want to write this review. I didn't want to write this review because Rosemary was so kind by taking my dog in for a next-day grooming appointment. It was clear she was happy to welcome a new customer, and I was grateful and in need. But the problem is Wxxxxxx. I'm angry at myself because I KNEW, two seconds after meeting the groomer -- with the I-just-got-out-of-bed hair, and horrible bedside manner -- I KNEW this groomer wasn't going to do a good job. Wxxxxxx had ZERO pleasantness about him when we met. No cordial greeting. No "Hi, little doggie!" He was like an emotionless teen flipping burgers unwillingly at a fast-food joint. As soon as I walked in the door, he grabbed my dog's leash like it was the next thing on the assembly line; I felt like he was just performing a task, not caring about giving a good experience. I tried to strike up a conversation and dive into expectations. He seemed like he could not care less. He had a vibe of "I know what to do, and I'm gonna do it like I do it." (Me: Don't you want to TALK to me to learn more about this picture of how I want her cut? No? I guess you know my type of dog, huh?) But, I internally scolded myself for judging a book by it's cover. I talked myself out of my gut feelings, knowing that pre-judging people is wrong. When I got my dog back, I realized I should have listened to my instincts. That man has no business doing anything with a dog other than petting them. (Because he clearly has not mastered the art of grooming to where he should be paid for it.) My poor sheepadoodle was returned severely uneven and misshapen. I've never groomed a dog before, but I'm willing to wager that on my first try I could have fared better. There were huge CHUNKS of uneven fur cut down to the skin (see rear leg pics and,) and other areas where it's clear that the groomer did not know how to cut evenly. (Look at the jawline and neck pics.) And, although I paid for a full groom, it didn't appear that they cut any hair from the ears, paws, or underbelly at ALL. Not only was I paying for a horrible cut, I was paying for an INCOMPLETE job. (Note that they make you pay before they bring your dog out, so you don't see the final result until after you pay.) When I was given a chance to inspect the cut, I restrained myelf, partly because both Wxxxxxx and Rosemary were presenting my dog to me and bracing for me to explode, and partly because I didn't want to cause a scene in front of Wxxxxxx. (What if Wxxxxxx has special needs or this was his first day and this represented his best work?) I initially opted to just let it go, and left. I was wrong for that. But as I was driving home, (and after my wife saw the huge chunks of exposed skin and uneven hairline,) I had to call back and ask Rosemary for a redo. To their credit, they gladly took my dog back and schedule me with a different groomer the next day. I brought my dog back the next day and a different groomer tried to fix the mess Wxxxxxx made. The day after THAT, I noticed the scars from blade scrapes on my dogs belly. (see pics.) That's when I realized I wouldn't return to Dirty Dog. I didn't want to write this review. Dirty Dog is a local business, and I prefer to support local businesses, especially those who seem to have kind owner/operators (like Rosemary) who are trying to be involved in their community and serve others through their work. And, I suppose I should have known better than to seek grooming at a place that is primarily known for offering self-washing services. Lesson learned on my part. But it's important that Dirty Dog knows (and comes to terms with the reality) that Wxxxxxx is not only bad for business, he is dangerously close to causing injury to an animal. I'm sure he's a good person overall, and probably does lots of things well -- But grooming dogs is not one of them. Dirty Dog would be well-served to find another way he can serve without being near animals with sharp objects.

Brianna was super punctual, actually beating us home, and messaged when she arrived. While I did the paperwork, my husband ran inside to get Tennant for his appointment. MnG has a ton of shampoo selections to aid with different issues your pooch may be experiencing.. not to mention, they are all Vegan products! We went with the rose-scented, anti-itch shampoo for Tennant as he tends to scratch often due to his doggie eczema. After the choices were made, we shared how we'd like to get his hair trimmed, and Brianna took our notes and we walked our puppy over to the van and dropped him off for his appointment. About and 1 and a half later, Tennant was walked up to our door step at home, and he looked like a whole new dude! We had to check to make sure he was still the same pup, he looked so good. This is the first time I actually loved his cut. Brianna was able to cut his hair and shave his ears with no nicks or cuts occurring. She even got close to his tush, which tends to be a problem area for all groomers who trim him. I don't know how she did it, but he came home extra-soft, tail wagging, and he just seemed more confident, which is not something I'm used to experiencing when he's had his hair cut. Brianna also gave us some Vegan doggy treats, a cotton toothbrush for him, and was really sweet during the checkout. The price is reasonable considering the convenience, the fact that your dog is their only client, and the quality of the groom. Overall, I am super-impressed and a huge fan of this service. I felt that my dog wasn't stressed out, he got more than enough attention and love, and he came out looking the best he has ever looked after a haircut. I'll definitely recommend these services to anyone looking for a doggy groomer.
