So ATL really owes me nothing after my recent trip that started at Fellaship. Super hip environment, fantastic service, with really creative drink options. Like, its a whole vibe for sure. And the food passed the quality cigar bar food test too! Together with friends we had fried cauliflower, crispy shrimp, pasta dish, fish tacos, broccoli, and truffle fries. I will say everything was really good with the exception of the pasta, which was uninspiring. The truffle fries were just okay. But, I loved the cauliflower and the fish tacos. My friend also ordered some kind bourbon glazed pound cake....excellent!! The only issue is the cigar smoke. I cant deal with my clothes and hair smelling like smoke. So my friends birthday was here and he reserved a time in the reserved a time in the afternoon for him and all of his friends. When he arrived they let him know that they were going to be closing in 30 minutes which was closing early for them on a regular day. When they reserved it they didn't give us that information. So we have been hearing a lot about Cam Newton's cigar lounge near Peters street and my friend decided to have a small birthday gathering here. I don't have many pictures because my phone died.... Street parking of course is horrible however there is a parking garage right behind the shops that currently has free parking... for now and it's called Castleberry Parking deck. We were able to park there and walk around to the entrance. The first door on the left is your entrance door and you will be greeted by the hostess and seated either in your section if you have reservations or you will need to sit at the bar if you don't. There were 2 sides on the bottom level the left side had the bar and Humidor room to purchase cigars, table seating and the other half had the DJ, a large couch seating area (look to hold maybe 10 people) and large TV on the wall the restrooms only accommodate 1 person at a time on the lower level but there are two sets of bathrooms on each side separated by the stairs to the second level. The second level was VIP and we were not able to go up there but everything we needed was o. The first floor. NOTE: if you are going to reserve a table make sure that your whole party arrives on time in order to be seated -we were not told this and thought our reservation was going to be given away but the owners were gracious enough to hold it for us even though our party was not there on time. We started out with drinks and the fellas got cigars. Since it was my first time smoking a cigar I went into the humidor with a friend and the concierge was able to recommend a stick that I loved, sweet and light in taste and it wasn't huge. I ended up getting 2! He also unwrapped the cigar, cut the end and lit it for me. Great service. The food we ordered was great but it took literally an 1 hour and 1/2 to get our food...appetizers and main dishes came out at the same time but once we got the food it was very flavorful. We had the Sesame Fried Shrimp, beef tacos and lamb chops which came with Mac and cheese and broccoli. The beef tacos weren't too flavorful and we only got 2, the fried shrimp were good and came with a sweet dipping sauce which had about 6 on the plate. Our lamb chops were juicy and had a sweet glaze to them, the Mac and cheese although it want baked was packed with flavor as well as the broccoli. Definitely would recommend this spot to anyone out of town the decor and art on the walls are unique and black themed. We ordered appetizers, drinks, dinner and cigars. As far as the waitress/waiter service, I've NEVER received 5 star service as it! The drinks, appetizer & food were great too! Including atmosphere! Within 40 minutes of our table maximum, the host that originally lead us to our table comes to us. Says, our table has been reserved and she needs our table! With the mannerism like NOW! Not, a reminder we have 40 minutes left! *blinks* Luckily for HER, I was having a great night. So, I didn't bother to remind her that when we called, she or one of her associates stated: We do NOT take reservations! Also, what the SIGN on our table stated: We had a MAXIMUM of 2 hours! Your associates need to be on the SAME page. What we experienced from your hostess, would definitely deterred returned support, support from others and a LOWER rating. From a business owner to another, that communication need to be placed upfront. I understand, there's "certain clients" that receive V.I.P. But lying or not disclosing that upfront, could cost you future support. Came in tonight for their grand opening night and it was great vibes all around. Everyone was dressed well (they do have a dress code as I heard people were being turned around for not meeting the criteria) I am not sure the specifics maybe someone else will post them later. Ambiance - very nice, low lighting. It is a cigar lounge and a restaurant blender into one so it's pretty niche. There was a DJ mixing pretty well throughout the evening. The music volume varied, sometimes it was pretty loud with me having to yell at the person next to me other times it was at a reasonable volume for conversation. The furniture and decor is nice and modern. Clean lines, large couches. I feel each couch could hold several people comfortably. On the first floor there are several sections all with their own tables and cigar ash trays. Ok the second floor there are a few sections accompanied by a large table to seat 8 (probably could seat more if the chairs weren't as large). There is also a bar upstairs so don't feel obligated to use the one downstairs if it's too packed. Food - I can speak to the crispy sesame shrimp, fries and portobello tacos. The food was great and reasonably priced, it came out quickly and was very fresh. The chef did an amazing job blending the seasonings and dressings for each not making it too overwhelming. Others in my party also had the wings which they said were amazing, a few people had whole wings delivered and others had regular wings with drums and flats. I'm not sure how the determination was made as to who gets what. Drinks - They have a cocktail menu with about 5 - 6 drinks on it but also have a full bar. Nobody had any issues with their drink in my party and they were also reasonably priced. The only reason I am not giving 5 stars is because I don't feel as if the ventilation is that great. I've been to several cigar bars although I don't smoke them I typically get a drink there and I didn't feel like there was as much circulation as I'm used to. I do believe it is something that they will work on again over the next few weeks. I will definitely be returning to check it out again. Great food and drinks. I work for a billion dollar company and we arranged a corporate sponsored mixer for our team of recruiters and local employees, as we were in town recruiting black talent, we wanted to gather in a black owned establishment. As we and other guests entered, we were abruptly stopped and searched, and water bottles confiscated by the manager, who had no service skills and didn't care about it. He then escorted us to our area and rudely directed us to stay in half of the room. We started to order drinks (20 plus people) and Nas our lovely waitress went over and beyond to make us feel welcomed and did a great job getting us drinks. Half way into our ordering we were told we were at risk of being charged $50 per person over a 50 person reservation and consistently told we were in the way and had to make room for another party coming in an hour. The service by this manager (East Asian descent?? ) was so bad, we just decided to leave. Nas was devastated because she knew she was missing out on a good tip night, we tipped her anyway!. Visitors from several states, and fans, we were disappointed because the decor, drinks and music was great, space was perfect for our mixer and the drinks while pricey were very good. Last Friday night, a girlfriend and I decided to have a Girl's Night Out. We decided to go to Fellaship, as this is a new restaurant I found out about and wanted to try. Initially, I tried to make reservations via email, but I was unable to. Someone wrote me back stating they are currently not taking reservations at this time, but they were only taking them for members of the lounge. They stated, this is due to limiting the number of people in the restaurant because of COVID-19. They did advise we get there before 8, as this is when the crowd would start picking up. So my friend and I decided to go around 7:30 P.M. Upon arrival, I was able to find a parking spot right in front of the restaurant, this was perfect because it was also free parking. My friend parked in the back of the restaurant and it was free as well. This is a rarity, especially in Atlanta. So we parked and went inside the restaurant. When we entered, we were greeted by a hostess. She checked our temperatures and got us seated right away. Most of the people in the restaurant were wearing a mask, but I did find it odd that most of the waiters had their masks under their chins. This kind of defeats the purpose in my opinion. Once we were seated, we were approached by our waiter. I don't recall her name because I don't believe she ever introduced herself. As my friend and I were trying to figure out what to eat and drink, it seemed very hard to get her attention. When we asked if there was a drink menu, she directed us to the brunch menu online. Not sure why, but we were not there for brunch. After not really getting good vibes from her and not really liking our dining location, we asked to switch to a high top. They allowed us to do this with no problems. The crowd hadn't poured in yet, so we had plenty of options. Once we switched, we were greeted by our new waiter, Chase. Chase was soooo helpful. He assisted us with all of our food and drink choices. He even brought out a drink menu, which we were previously told they didn't have, go figure. Everything Chase recommended we tried and it was all delicious. For our appetizers, we had the fried lobster bites. For drinks, my friend ordered the Fellaship (not sure price) and I ordered a sidecar ($17). We had two rounds of drinks. Both drinks were really good, but my friend switched to a sidecar for her second drink. She said the Fellaship was a little to strong for her, but if you like strong drinks, you should start here. I thought my sidecar was a perfect balance, as this is typically my go to drink. For our entrees, my friend ordered the Catfish sandwich with truffle fries and I ordered the grilled lobster tail with mac & cheese and sautéed broccoli. Both of our entrees were so good. They were both hot, fresh and tasty! It was just enough food for both of us. We ate all of it and even had room for dessert, which we split a the chef's Southern bread pudding. It was absolutely amazing. It was hot and moist. It was the perfect night cap for our dining experience. Overall, we really enjoyed the vibe of Fellaship. They had a DJ, which he was playing good music. The ambience and the aesthetics of the restaurant were absolutely stunning. However, if you are not a fan of smoke, this is not the place for you. This a cigar lounge, so there are people all around smoking cigars. It did get a little overwhelming, but it was to be expected. The crowd picked up around 8:30, but we were never rushed and were able to enjoy the music and continue to talk. We really enjoyed our waiter, Chase, and for our future visits we plan to ask for his section. He truly went above and beyond to make our first time dining experience, a great one! The only reason I didn't give it five stars was due to our initial encounter with our first waitress and all of the waiters wearing their masks under their chins.
