I have a 2000 Trail Lite 25' motorhome with an Onan 4KW generator that was no longer supported by Cummins/Onan. The new replacement 4KW generator was too large to fit in the same area without some very expensive modifications to the coach. Not a single shop in the Houston area was capable or willing , including Onan dealers, to even attempt a repair. Took my car in for a check engine light. Had to replace valve cover. Went home had an oil leak. Now I had a oil pan gasket leaking. Not the non-OEM valve cover. Got home, still leaking. Third visit- will warrant the oil pan, not the non-OEM part. Got home, you guessed it same leak. Forth go around, we need to replace the valve cover with an OEM part. Now no oil leak. Asked for a refund on the oil pan, because the car wasn't leaking to begin with! Answer-no the oil pan was really leaking. REALLY. Go somewhere else. These guys will cheat you out of your money by not using factory parts and doing unnecessary repairs. read more

Unbelievable service! We had an RV emergency while traveling across country. Needed SIX new RV tires on a Saturday on short notice. Called at least ten places and all were either closed or said they had no RV tires in stock. Mitch at Felton's answered the phone, said he'd check for the tires and called us back within minutes. He met us and the tires were changed out within an hour. He saved us at least two days worth of waiting around in the middle of nowhere Texas. He was so helpful and kind and professional. Worst of the worst! Poor workmanship, exceeds their estimates without notifying the customer and then threatens the customer if they don't pay in full, thefts from RVs while not secured. Consistently hires ex-cons and drug addicts saying he just wants to give them a second chance, but accepts no responsibility when things are stolen. One of their workmen even caused damage to my RV and the business owner tried to charge ME for the repairs! Billed for work never done (I demanded those charges be removed). Absolutely no integrity. Their motto appears to be, "Let's get away with anything we can". After I got my RV out of Felton's, the service technician who accompanied the business owner inspect my RV before I purchased it admitted they charged me for a full inspection but did only a partial. He told me that Mitch said it didn't matter because he'd issue a false report and then I'd have to pay them for all the repair work. So much for integrity! I was having trouble with my water heater working on gas. I called Felton and Junior was at my house within one hour and fixed with just their normal service charge. They did not try to charge me for any parts. It was just and adjustment of the heat sensor and they could not charged me more and I would not have known any better. Very disappointed! Replaced fiberglass roof on an older RV with a vinyl type covering. I was pleased with the material but the workmanship was extremely shoddy. They told me that the job would take about a week or two to complete. I mentioned that I will need the coach for work and gave them six weeks to complete this project. They waited until the last minute to finish it. This put me in a bind because I needed to use the coach as a domicile at my new job. The vinyl roofing material was not stretched over tight and has several obvious wrinkles. the old fiberglass roof was not cut off but rather ripped off leaving the jagged impression of the old roof, visible through the vinyl. Water tends to pool in these low areas. The bath vent fan was not completely sealed and an extreme leak caused water damage in the bathroom! They did not replace the skylight using the original skylight frame like I asked them to so the head clearance is about two inches lower! I really wish I used another repair facility because I spent a ton of money for unprofessional hack workmanship. I will most likely need to redo my roof in the not too distant future. My plans were to restore this coach. I have now lost this desire to do this. I would not recommend Feltons to anyone...period! read more

I have a CK330 Raven. It is a nice unit and I try to find good shops when it needs repair. After reading a few reviews and doing a little checking I chose Feltons. I was worried about the area it is located in but those worries where soon put to rest. Friday before Hurricane Harvy hit I was called and ask to come get my camper because of the storm. It was thought to be complete but at the time and circumstance I went to get the camper. The manager told me that if there was any problems to just bring it back. Well there was a problem so I called and without hesitation I was told to bring it back and I want to tell you these folks are doing the right thing. Great people and great service. read more

I wouldn't trust these guys with a paper sack. First told me he only had two small jobs and it would be no time to get my camper in. Then it was a few days later because I stayed on them. Then the told me my brakes were shot and need to be fully replaced for $1,300+. Then told me my hot water heater had a gas leak and needed to be completely replaced. Their price over $1,000. My refrigerator was bad, I knew that, they wanted to install a $1,500 3 way fridge. Then quoted me $2,500 to scrape and reseal my roof. Finally my awning. I knew it needed a new canvas but everything else worked as expected. His quote....$1,500. Over $7,500 in repairs for a camper I bought for $5,000. I knew something wasn't right. The actual tech working on it said the brakes were fine and still had half the life left on them. My cost $0 Also hot water runs on electric and gas so I capped the gas line off. Leak fixed for $5. The fridge? You don't need a 3 way fridge. Went to Lowe's and bought a mini fridge and installed it myself. Easy!! My cost $200. Oh and my roof? It did need some TLC. But had it done by someone else. My cost $1,500. Finally, my awning. Bought a new one on Amazon for $165 and having it installed for $200. My cost $365 total. Felton's total quotes $7,500 my actual cost $2,070. Oh and they still charged me over $700 for not doing crap. read more

Was passing thru town, they took me in immediately. I had been to two other RV businesses about me frig and they said nothing was wrong. I explained the problem , they contacted frig service center and worked with them to diagnosis the problem and fixed it. I would highly recommend them for service. read more

**Yves Revew Cont** all things out of their way and all they did this whole time was feeding 2 wires into the sleeve with other wires that leads to the outside. The sleeve with the other wires was already their and the cover where the wires go, and everything around that area that could have been in their way was moved by my wife and I. So yes all they did was literally 10 minutes of work of sticking two wires in the inside and pulling it out the outside with less than 12 inch distance. But Nonetheless to avoid confrontation with an armed man while my wife is pregnant was not top on my list....So I paid. No one assisted us with hitching the RV back on to the truck. After we got it hitch the younger technician gave us the most self disappointed look and said "I'm sorry about this and if you want you can call me and i can come to you and do the work". I said thank you and drove off, all the while thinking I would never let any of them touch my RV again. Now immediately when we arrived to the RV park where we where staying, as soon as we plug in the electrical wire,,,,,,,ALL BREAKERS started to trip*** I immediately contacted Mitch to which he walk me through a few basic troubleshooting, that i as a rocky had already done prior to calling. I than hung up with him and went on youtube for more helpful instructions while my wife contacted another RV repair facilities spoke to a technician. I again called Mitch once I discovered that the water heater was also acting up, he than agreed to do a free diagnostic to determine the cause but he added "more than likely its the motherboard and I would love to do the work and replace that for you". To which i said Mitch isn't it funny that the main thing that became a problem in my RV is the main part that you addvertise on your website that you facility is an expert on replacing and repairng water heaters". Immediately Mitch, the owner and operator of Felton's RV hung up the phone on my. All the while my wife explained the full event to the technician from the other RV repair facility and he was able to walk us through the breakers tripping which was because of an overload being cause by the water heater. We than went out to the outside water heater panel and notice that the motherboard was not creating the spark for the propane gas. We pulled the fused as instructed and noticed that the fuse was not only burned, it was old too old, older than 2 years and it had grease build up, along with scrapes on the prongs, and no dust at all. I say no dust at all because this was a panel that my wife and I have never opened. We were advised to be on the safe side to replace the entire motherboard as oppose to just the fuse for safety purposes, especially if you suspect sabotage. The next day we replaced the motherboard and everything worked perfectly.... Prior to writing this review I had shared with Mitch that this story will be shared with the online community.... its funny that i had prev written an extensive review but it was never published. i had been looking for a reputable place to have my rv's generator repaired...bob elder at feltons kept coming up...so i went to visit feltons. the place looked like sanford and sons...but i figured you dont hav e have a fancy place to do good work. in the mean time i had a catastrophic failure on a generator in one of my mobil kitchens. i called and went by and arranged to bring it in for repairs (45 ft trailer) apon arrival ,you would think they werent expecting me. after a bunch of setting in the street we finally got in place. after a suitable time period, i had not heard from anyone...so i called to check on the progress. i was told that they would have the unit remove and would get a new alternator (the charging part) ordered...at that point i asked how much this repair would run...i was given a ...well you know these things are expensive...but i will call you later. never got that call. by now time was getting short so i called back and was told the part would be there any day but still no estimate. a day or so i call them back and was told the part was there and they had remove the whole unit...engine and all...a little overkill in my book...the generator head was easily accessible through a large door to a room that you could almost stand up in...but what ever ...he was doing the job. checking back later i was told that they were changing the oil and filter and fuel and air filter. at that point i told him i use mobil one oil and usually do that myself. when went to pick the unit up...bob the mechanic and mitch the owner. were both gone...i had to have my kitchen..so i went to pay and was presented with a bill of 8800.00. more than i paid for the whole generator new...diesel engine and all. they charged 22 hours labor for 5 hour work...179.00 for oil i normally pay 54.10 full retail...they charged me $5000.00 for the alternator head...i have found at several places for the highest price of 2800.00 dollars. i had left my tow vehicle there in case they needed to move the trailer around. they broke the side of the driver seat where the controls are...stole the shop vac from inside the trailer itself. the owner never bothered to follow up on my complaint. the mechanic "bob did eventually call back and half way apologized and offered me a 650.00 labor credit on my next visit...which was worthless...i asked for that in writing...never got that...but i would never use these crooks again and would tell everyone i know how crooked they were. i was in the automobile service business for 30 years and know how good business is conducted...since this i have gotten some education on these generators and will do my own repairs and not be ripped off by the likes of "felton's" again read more

if you want your head ripped off.. this is the place to go. they never called with update..i had to call...they would promise to call back with more info or est...never did. i was having a generator end repaired or replaced. im not in the rv business...but was in the auto repair business for thirty years and know what is involved to remove and replace components. their labor rate is higher than the local mercedes dealer. in his own word the tech comfirmed what i had told him by starting the generator and deemed it neccesary to replace the end.charged 314.00 for 10 mins work. the price i was charges for that part was about 2k higher than the going price and was told by the tech that the owner wanted to mark it up even more. with out me asking they changed the oil and filter, fuel and air filter. i told them i normally change the oil myself and use mobil one. i pay 54.00 for the oil...they charged me 189.00 for oil only. 85.00 for a 22.00 air filter....314,00 for labor for that...20 minutes if you are taking your time (and you dont charge high skill level labor rate for lube work...157.00 an hour). the whole job was an 8 hour job...not getting in a hurry..i was charged 20 hours labor. to top it off i left my tow vehicle in case they needed to move the rig...they tore the trim panel off the side of the drivers seat...and stole the shop vac from inside the unit. never offered to fix or replace anything... as a matter of fact the owner mitch has never returned my call. the tech bob who i think is fairly knowledgeable.. i feel was caught in the middle...and at least called to try to explain and offered a 650.00 credit in writing for my next visit ( which i never got) but im not stupid enough to go back there. their facility looks like a junk yard and is in the hood. the sad part is i though i had found a reputable facility that would treat you fairly...boy was i wrong....common thieves is more like it. read more
