I am very happy with my new fence installed by Fence & Deck Connection. It has made a big improvement to my yard. Salesman Steven N. came out to survey my fencing needs and I received a quote a week later. Other companies came out but never sent me a quote. The price was good for removing a chain link fence and installing 115 ft of vinyl fence and two gates. Comparable if not better then other bids. They were able to find a style of fence that I wanted that was not pictured in their brochure. The workers did exactly what was needed to install the posts to attach the fence. This required a jack hammer to take out a small section of concrete. The foreman (Alberto) came later in the day to make sure the fence was being installed correctly. He noticed the fence and gate did not look good with the concrete pillars that were there. He suggested to take them out and extend the fence in their place. This required extra work of removing and hauling away the pillars and moving the already installed posts, and using the jack hammer to remove some concrete. As an extra bonus they hauled away all of the shrubs I tore out where the fence was being installed. This exceeded my expectations! I highly recommend Fence and Deck Connection, for a fair price, quality work, and probably more then you expected to have the best looking fence in the neighborhood. read more

As homeowners in Crofton for 14 years, we have worked with a lot of contractors on a variety of projects from small to extremely large ones. When it came time to tackle our biggest one to date - a new deck and a three-season room - we were thorough in our research. We received quotes from 6 companies. We decided to go with Fence and Deck not because of their estimate (which was very fair), or because of their products (which were similar to others). I just want to say again how please my husband and I am with the completed work as well as this whole experience with this company from start to finish. I have had lots of work done on both my homes; and I have never experienced such professionalism and courtesy throughout a company. Literally from the receptionist to each person I have come in contact with by telephone, e-mail, or in person has been a pleasure to work with. the crew that was sent to my home was no exception, they were very courteous and detailed. there was a lot of times I watched them without them knowing I was there and took notice as to how meticulous they were, every detail checked and double checked. There was a problem with one of the lights, but I was assured by the crew leader that he placed it on order and would replace it as soon as it became available. Other than that I have no complaints, only rave reviews. I do have one regret though, I really wish the company handled more than fences and decks, because they would definitely be my go to company for every home improvement project I had. The entire team was absolutely awesome. Starting with Chris, AJ, Hilary, Shane, to the sales manager Jeff. They not only delivered on their promise, but they far exceeded my expectations. The crew that performed the work of my over 800 square foot deck were absolutely the best I have ever seen. They knew exactly what they were doing and completed my project within 5 days. The look of the deck is a work of beauty. They discounted the cost way below all of the competitors, and they delivered on the best results. Fence and Deck Connections, built my deck over 15 years ago. They were quick and professional. Then I decided this year to upgrade the deck to Trex. The gentlemen named Bobby Tucker came out to my home and walked me through the entire process. I had what felt like a million questions and he professionally answered all my concerns. He even gave me good ideas to enhance my vision of the new deck. I also noticed Mr.Tucker was polite and encouraging, but was not pushy and respected my date and time to start and complete the work. He brought several hard Trex samples, written document information of the materials and sketches of my deck. Which was wonderful because an upgraded deck or color change had to be approved by my community HOA. The workers arrived on time each day. I rarely if ever write reviews but my experience yesterday with Fence & Deck Connection has me writing this today. F&DC put up our fence approximately 9 years ago. Over this past winter and spring I noticed the fence "sagging" in certain areas. Since then it has become progressively worse to the point it was only held up in one spot because it was leaning on a tree. I had completely forgot about F&DC lifetime warranty and was going to get an estimate for repairs from a local handyman. Well, yesterday I get home and find a door hanger on the front door from F&DC that stated "Quality Control Review - Posts Replaced". So I look in the backyard and find that, without me contacting them, F&DC has completely repaired the fence and replaced 5 posts! Evidently they were putting up a deck at my neighbors and noticed the fence sagging and repaired it. Again, WITHOUT ME EVER CONTACTING THEM!! Outstanding customer service and I will definitely be calling them when I have some extra $$$$(2 kids in college) to replace my back deck which is in bad shape. We had Fence Connection replace some old fencing as well as install new fencing in our backyard. It was a great experience from day one. Jake came out for our initial consultation and from there on out he patiently responded to my barrage of questions. I had a million questions and was wanting to make sure I was getting everything right. It was truly a pleasure working with Andrew throughout the process. I appreciated the time he took to respond to my emails and answer my questions. The crew, the decking team and fencing team, were all nice and proved to be professionals. Prior to deciding on Fence and Deck Connection, I attempted to get two other quotes. One company responded by email and never bothered to schedule a time to come out. The other company came out but only wanted to know how much I wanted to pay versus telling me how much it would cost for what I wanted. Unlike Andrew, they did not come with samples nor did they leave any brochures. They sent a quote via email several days later (just typed in the body of the email not detailed and on company letterhead like Andrew's quote) and never called or followed up until three months later when my new deck had been finished. Excellent service and follow up! I have used them twice - for a screened porch/paver patio and also for my fence. Great service. More importantly, I had an issue come up TWO YEARS later - unrelated to their service btw - and they stood by their work. Someone came out, inspected the issue, and took care of it. TWO YEARS LATER. The biggest worry with contractors is if they will do the job they promise (they did) and if they will stand by their work. I would not hesitate to use them again. There are a lot of fake reviews online but I guarantee I'm just a regular customer in Howard County, found their phone number by accident a few years back and am so glad I did. My husband and I are absolutely thrilled with the maintenance free deck and vinyl fence we had installed back in 2009. We contacted few companies to get bids for our 400 sq ft deck and these guys came in highly recommended. Tracy (our sales manager) was extremely easy to work with and has helped us come up with some custom solutions for seating and deck that has slopped back yard.
