Initially, they brought over this really mismatched rainbow slate I wasn't expecting that was crumbling apart and most of the tiles were broken...had to wait for normal color slate for weeks longer...what a pain and so rude. US Better Homes Review…read more My wife and I decided to get a screened porch built for our Baltimore rowhouse home to protect us from the heat and bugs during the summer months. It was a little tough finding a solid contractor that was in our budget. We finally narrowed it down to US Better Homes after having four contractors come out and estimate the job for an enormous amount of money. The owner Samvel scheduled an appointment for an estimate and immediately we explained to him the problems we were facing with other contractors, and we gave him our budget. After that initial interaction with him, we decided to move forward with the project. The project took a little more time than expected, but that was expected due to the company being a small business plus the rainy weather conditions were also a major factor in the time frame. We were patient with the company and the project schedule changes because Samvel the owner was very accommodating, throughout the entire process and receptive to our ideas and changes before and during the project. He and his team were very professional, responsive, and friendly with any questions we had during the project. Once the project was done it turned out more than we expected. I have had the opportunity to speak with the company about some mortar issues as the bricks and mortar are connected with my siding and a bit messy. One of the bricks is higher then the others and is not leveled. The company sent out some others to see thw issue. However, the individuals chipped and cracked a brick, cracked up mortar creating a hole and cracks, thus noone has returned as promised. I will reach back out to the company as well. Ive referred this company to others believing from the beginning the friendly and speedy service was genuine. I will update on the corrections or outcome
