My wife and I have been working with Care (Fenway's Runway) to address my dog's fear/reactivity and territorial behaviors, especially around our home, for just over a month now. Specifically barking, lunging, and guarding me (his primary caretaker). The changes we are seeing now started subtly, but are beginning to blossom into a whole new relationship with him for us. I knew my dog was lacking structure, but I had no idea how to give it to him. I adopted him in 2020, in my early 20s, with truly not a clue how to support a dog like him. For years I was doing my best to manage his behaviors, but I knew I was not addressing the root of the issue. Care has provided structure for us and so much more! She is our biggest cheerleader, and bestest coach. Working with her makes me feel like I'm finally getting the tools I need to help my first born child succeed and live the best life he can. She honors our small victories and supports us (humans) in our short comings so we can give him the most fulfilling life possible. Cooper is beginning a whole new chapter, and I feel so much hope for our future. I would recommend working with Care to anyone, but especially to others who may have rescue dogs like mine. There is hope!

We started working with Care after our pups started fighting weekly. Our Shiba was labeled "aggressive" despite never having bitten anyone and as a result never got to experience things like pet stores and parks. We were hesitant to have people visit in fear of what could happen and those that did visit tended to be hesitant around her. We have had multiple visitors who met her in the past and all have said she's a different dog and love her to pieces! She still nips ankles sometimes but we are so proud of her progress. Our klee Kai (husky pup) has always gotten super excited about everything and would jump on people and slam into doors. She still runs into doors but hasn't jumped on someone in several weeks! Both still have a ways to go but we love working with Care and I'm positive we will get there! Care is available to answer any questions and is extremely supportive of the journey!

Fenway's Runway has changed our lives!!!! My rescue pup is very nervous and Care has had so much patience with Luna and with me, always making sure we move at the pace that's right for us!!!

As a first time dog owner, I never realized how little I actually knew about how to properly train my dog on commands or tricks & because my dog is pretty much unlike any other dog in that he isn't really a fan of treats, I figured it would be next to impossible to train him on anything other than the basics. I couldn't find anyone that I felt confident wasn't just trying to gouge me for a ton of money so I had pretty much given up until I came across Care!! I had needed to find someone to leave my dog with while I went out of town & the second Dexter met her I knew we had a winner!! She kept me updated he entire time so I was completely confident he was being well taken care of & enjoying himself!! It wasn't until after I scheduled our first training session that I realized how little I actually knew about walking my dog with authority & purpose (and not with him calling all the shots! ). I had to humble myself enough to admit that I was the problem and that I needed guidance & we've both come a really long way!! We went from a 30+ minute mile while walking to 19-22 minute miles & he is so much more obedient & polite!!! I would most definitely recommend Fenway's Runway for dog sitting, daycare & training!! Fenway is also the sweetest dog & her & Dexter got along instantly! Best. Investment. Ever!!

We have a golden retriever named Mufasa, with so much energy to learn. My husband and I tried puppy classes, and months of private training lessons with other trainers and nothing ever seemed to work with us no matter how much we practiced. I decided not to give up on training because I want my pup to have the best life he can and my friend referred me to Care Rodgers. She came in just a week ago and redirected our training and in just ONE week I have seen SOOO much progress. More progress then I have seen in months with other trainers. I am so happy with her service and advice! I cannot wait to see how Mufasa will grow in a couple months! If you have doubts about training your dog, dont! You won't regret it!!!

If I could give Care 100/100 stars I would!! She's seriously the best! We were at a loss on what to do with our golden retriever puppy, Milo, before we met Care. He's got energy for days & needed to learn how to channel that energy through training. After just one week with Care, my husband & I saw a huge difference!! We are expecting a baby in August & were so worried about the transition with such a high energy dog, but we can now feel at ease with the tools Care has given us for him! We also have an older lab that we have been implementing her techniques with & have also seen a huge difference in her. We have two changed dogs & I can't thank Care enough! She's literally changed their dog lives (& ours!!) 100% highly recommend.

Mochi's first training session at 2 months old

We met Care about a year ago and as a first time dog owner it helped us out so much. Mochi started training with Care when he was just 2 months old and again being first time dog owners my family and I had absolutely no idea how to even get started with potty training. Working with Care, especially with Mochi being so young, has made a tremendous difference. She taught me so much about how to properly correct Mochi's behavior, even just getting him to sit/stay.Also having Mochi go to doggy daycare with Care was the best thing I ever did for Mochi as a puppy even up to now.Mochi loves going to daycare and seeing all his friends. I love that it's a safe, fun place for Mochi to socialize and play with other dogs while his training is still being reinforced.I also love how she constantly keeps me updated on Mochi while he's at daycare and posts pictures of him while he's there.Care is one of the few people I actually trust to watch Mochi because she understands his behavior and how to safely/effectively correct him.Care treats all her dogs like they're her own kids and Mochi is a very cautious/nervous dog so I'm glad that he loves and trusts Care so much.I would highly recommend Care to any dog parents, even if you've had your dog for a few years or multiple dogs she really knows her stuff. Training with Care has made a really big difference in Mochi's behavior and socializing skills, she's even taught me how to be a better dog mom to Mochi. Thank you Care for all the time, love, and effort you dedicate to training and caring for Mochi! Pictures are from Mochi's first session with Care up to now.

"Boot camp" options seemed extreme, so I called Bark Busters (BB), seeking in-home private lessons. Justin responded the same day I left a message, and we talked about my concerns with our new rescue. I decided to try the BB program, which ended up being the BEST DECISION for my pup and for me! Justin set up our first session with trainer/coach James. James spent much of the 1st session going through the goals, objectives and concepts of training, including a timeline based on reasonable expectations of my dog. James spent a lot of time explaining how to "read" my dog's behavior, and how to properly respond. He explained the concepts behind each step, which helped me to understand not just what to do, but why (thus enabling me to understand how to deploy the training to different situations). James also set up scenarios to practice, going through each step so I could gain confidence in what my role is while helping my dog settle. It really is about training the owner how to work with the dog. James provided summaries of each session, plus videos demonstrating how I can use different responses/techniques to reshape how my dog reacts to stressful situations. I saw significant progress very early in the training, and was surprised at how quickly we were able to help my dog understand his role (and to feel safe) in our home. The best part is that if I need more help, I just have to reach out to James/BB and schedule more sessions - this is included in the initial program. Given that it takes a rescue dog a while to COMPLETELY settle in, new issues could arise as time passes, and if so, all I have to do is call to set it up. In summary, Bark Busters is a GREAT dog training program, and James is a FANTASTIC BB trainer/coach! Definitely recommend BB to owners that want help with their dogs!

Are they under new ownership? What has changed?…read more We've used Camp Run-A-Mutt several times over the years for overnight boarding and have always had a great experience, which is why this recent stay was so surprising. When making the reservation, I noticed that a few of my dog's vaccinations would expire during his stay. We took care of getting them updated weeks in advance and made sure the vaccination certificates were sent to Camp Run-A-Mutt. I even confirmed with a staff member at the front desk that they had received everything and that my dog was all set for his stay. A few days before our trip, I received a call saying my dog was missing vaccinations. I asked which ones, and of course they were the very vaccinations we had already updated and submitted. I explained that they had the records, the employee put me on hold, then came back and confirmed everything was in order and said they'd see him on Thursday. Then things got even more frustrating. On Thursday, as I was landing in another state for my vacation, my daughter--who was dropping my dog off before catching her own flight--called me in a panic. She was being told they couldn't accept him because his rabies vaccine wasn't up to date. I immediately called the facility and explained that we had already confirmed his records twice. The employee put me on hold, checked the records, and sure enough, they had his current rabies certificate the entire time. They admitted everything was up to date and accepted him. A few days later, while we were still out of state, I received another call saying my dog was being quarantined and separated from the other dogs because his vaccinations supposedly weren't current. At this point, this was the third time in less than a week that the exact same issue had come up. I again explained that his vaccinations were current and that their staff had already confirmed this multiple times. The employee put me on hold and never came back to the phone. Thankfully, my daughter was only a few hours away and was able to rush over and pick him up. When I called to pay for his stay over the phone and let them know he was being picked up, I was initially told they couldn't accept payment over the phone. That was confusing because I've paid over the phone for previous stays without any issue. When I asked if it was a new policy, the employee admitted it wasn't--they just didn't know how to process a phone payment. They had to get someone else to help before I was finally able to pay. I'm honestly not sure what's changed, but the organization and communication were completely different from the excellent service we've received in the past. The repeated confusion over vaccination records--which they already had on file and repeatedly confirmed--caused unnecessary stress while my family was traveling out of state and ultimately resulted in our dog being removed from daycare and picked up early. We've always been happy with Camp Run-A-Mutt, which is why this experience was so disappointing. I hope this was just an isolated breakdown in communication, but based on our recent experience, I no longer feel confident leaving my dog there.
