So I sent a job bid on YELP and out of 4 replies Phoenix Appliance Repair was not only the first one to reply and carried on quick replies in our conversation that followed, but also had a fair up front diagnostic fee of $75 and then booked for me same day! I was already 5 loads behind in my laundry after the weekend so this was super helpful. He fixed screw and hopes that would be it but after I tried my first load I reached back out stating it still was popping off. He said I needed a new agitator. Instead of $470 like LG quoted he charged $208 including tax and did not charge another fee for the second visit either. Machine is working great now! After many phone calls to other companies I chose Phoenix Appliance Repair and scheduled an appointment. Dru arrived promptly to our appointment and was professional yet friendly. He assessed the noise issue and found the motor had stalled on the pump and sump. Also the racks were rusted. I appreciated that Dru took time to answer all my questions and explained my options. After some thought, I decided to replace my dishwasher rather than repair it. He agreed, didn't try to sell me on an expensive repair and helped me prepare the necessary paperwork to process my claim. He is a man of integrity. Impressive! Worst customer service I have ever experienced. I didn't do that since I used them twice before at the location and I thought they would pull up my customer record and save some time in ordering. So when I called I spoke to someone who was helpful and quoted me a price for a new bedroom set for my guest room. He suggested that I come in right away to make sure that the items would be there for delivery on Tuesday. So I left work with a co-worker in tow and came into their store. When I walked in a guy who looked like he was mad at the world greeted me. I told him what I was doing, that I am a repeat customer and I spoke to someone already who said they would put my order in and for me to just come in to sign everything. He told me to come to the counter with him. I did. When we got to the counter a contractor came in front of me and he told me to wait. HOW RUDE! The guy he was talking to just wanted to see if his location was having a plumbing problem because the neighbor was. So THAT is why I was bumped while being helped... but that is petty so let's move on... just saying that at this point he is mad at the world AND not helping customers... ME! So when I got to the counter he proceeded to tell me the items were not all in stock. I explained I spoke to a person here and he said he didn't care... they were not in stock. I told him MAYBE the reason why they are not in stock is because the I guy I spoke with is holding them for me. He said he didn't care. I have been without a washing machine for over 7 weeks. My parts are always either "not approved yet," "haven't arrived" or are "sitting on my truck." My home warranty company has confirmed all parts have been approved and Jim's Place acknowledges they have them yet again I've been told he'd contact me today to schedule my repair. He has not contacted me at all. I would highly recommend avoiding this company at all costs and if you're assigned them by your home warranty I'd request a change of repair company before they even come out to do their initial inspection.

The 2 notable ones are Tracy and Dennis. Let me start with Dennis first. They remodeled their store and now the fasteners/nuts/bolts area has been expanded and I love this. Most of the time I come it's because I need some fitting that broke or something with something I have and I don't need 100 of them, just 1 or a few. All the Ace Hardwares are perfect for this and I've never NOT found what I needed. Dennis has helped me most of the time when I come, which isn't too frequent, but maybe a few times a year. He is always very patient. Sometimes it's with a project and he offers suggestions. Thank you, Dennis. Tracy is a newer person for me from the past year. I don't remember why I came in, but he was the person to help me. He's retired from his career and just wanted to still work, but not in a high pressured career. We've had some really great conversations. He is very personable and super, super helpful. I needed to fix my dripping shower faucet and asked him for suggestions. He gave me lots of sound advice, which all of them really helped me. Unfortunately this Ace did not have the parts I needed for my particular showers, but the advice he gave was invaluable and saved me hundreds of dollars. I was able to change out the shower spout, handle, shower heads with new stuff and all by myself. This turned out to be fairly easy, so I thought why not to tackle my master bath, that had similar shower fixtures. The master bath was a little trickier, and took a bit longer, but I was able to change all the shower fixtures minus the drains all by myself without incident and everything is working great. I did this back over 3 months ago and everything still works fantastically. Tracy did advise that replacing the drains was a bit more difficult. He didn't say don't do this, but the thought of having to perhaps replace plumbing and the showers did not appeal to me. So, the drains remained. I also wanted to change out the sink faucet in the first bathroom. He talked about the hard water deposits we have and how to replace the faucet. He showed me a tool, a sink wrench, to help me loosen and get into tight spaces. My husband really was the one that went under the sink to do all this. I am grateful. This was a bit more difficult than we had hoped because whomever installed the prior faucet really glued EVERYTHING down well, which required my husband to use a DeWalt cutting tool to get the parts out. Since the first bathroom turned out well, we also did the Master Baths both faucets - replacing them. Thank you, Tracy, for your guidance and direction in this, for caring enough to be specific to empower me/us to do these repairs to our home and saving hundreds in labor and not needing to call out a plumber to do all this. Both Dennis & Tracy are true assets to this Ace Hardware location. Thank you for caring about your customers and going above and beyond every time. God bless you and the rest of the employees here.
