We hired Robert to retrofit and update a den off our garage, our laundry room, and to completely…read morerenovate our guest bathroom to make it safe and efficient for my 86-year-old mother, who's moved in with us. We immediately liked and trusted him based on his professionalism at our first meeting, when he came out to our property, inspected the areas, and then, a few days later, presented us with a quote. His quote was HALF of what other contractors had quoted us for this work, which does not mean his work was anything less than perfect. Robert was on the job every day M-F for 5 weeks, showing up when he said he would. He worked with us to select appropriate fixtures and fittings for the bathroom and provided options when what we'd chosen didn't work. As anyone who lives in Arizona knows, having someone who can drywall AND match the random texturization the builders loved to throw onto walls is difficult, yet Robert is an expert in both of these things. Not only did he fix what we knew needed attention, but he also uncovered a few things we didn't realize were issues and fixed them accordingly. In the den, Robert reinforced an entire wall, ran new electrical lines, installed recessed lights, and soundproofed and re-drywalled the ceiling. He found some mold from an old leak in some of the baseboards and fixed it safely and quickly. He installed new French doors and a new door leading into our laundry area. In the laundry room, he removed a poorly executed DIY shelf, sink, and cupboards and gave us a beautiful, effective new storage area. Again, he replaced drywall where it had been damaged by an earlier leak, and even popped open the ceiling between the first and second floors to make sure the "old leak" was indeed old (it was!). From the laundry room, he removed an awkward inward-facing door, built a new door frame, and installed a beautiful barn door. Again, he moved electrical from an unusable space to one that made way more sense. The bathroom went from an ill-fitting tub/shower insert enclosure to a beautiful, fully tiled, glass-door walk-in shower with a built-in nook. He redid the floors with a beautiful tile job, installed a new vanity, a new toilet, and new electrical for a lighted mirror and a recessed light above the shower. All this work was completed in about 5 weeks' time to allow us to get our mom here quickly when she needed it. We cannot express enough how much we appreciated the work Robert accomplished for us, and we encourage anyone looking for quality, fairly priced, and professional work done in their home to contact him. We've got our next set of projects tee'd up for this coming Fall and can't wait to see him work his magic in on our upstairs bathroom and terribly awkward storage closet.

Than he hands me a huge bill There's no way of telling what he will add . Each bill was not dated or broken down for each month He told us he would deduct my allowances at the end and had me pay for everything I no way of knowing if I got any of my allowances. . He doesn't give you invoices and he won't come back and fix what has to be fixed. I am taking this further. I did a full remodel. My book keeper can not make any sense of his billing. He installed the instant hot water device all wrong . The water wasn't hot and it dripped and wouldn't shut off. He told us that was the way it was Suppose to be. I than contacted the Rep for the heater and they said it may be compromised now and I may need to replace it. She said he installed it wrong. We finalized the bill at the end and he wanted in the thousands more The estimate was about 60. He did not make up a contract . He didn't even know I had over paid him 5,000 which was , given him two check in one month, We settled . I'm still believing I was over charged by several thousand. I had a dead line before my tenants arrived . I lost about 2500.00 in rent. I was working up until they came . Not only did I lose rent I had to take time off work as they wernt always there if I wasn't.there. The tenants asked if we would finish after they left so I asked him to finish those things that need to be done. Now he won't come back and fix it. He said because we settled he wants 4000 more or he won't fix it. Be careful .

Fast forward a few days, I called back bc I was ready to either come in or have someone come measure my kitchen. Mark answered and he seems to have very little knowledge about anything or possibly just poor customer service/communication skills. It was a Friday early afternoon and I asked what time they close and he said 4 or 5...so is it 4 or 5? "Well, we have an appointment at 4, but we technically close at 5". Through broken communication I understood I wouldnt be helped if I went in that day. I went ahead and agreed to schedule for Jason to come out to my home on Tuesday morning (since theyre closed on Mondays) at 10am. Tuesday morning comes and goes. Mark calls me Tuesday early afternoon to apologize that no one showed up that morning... I never got a call that morning from anyone! At this point I'm completely turned off and don't even care. Although KIT Cabinets beat anybody's price, I don't think they beat anybody's service.
