WARNING! DO NOT PURCHASE EXTENDED WARRANTY CONTRACT FROM SPENCER'S TV & APPLIANCE! In 2017, we bought a 5-year extended warranty contract from Spencer's TV & Appliance when we purchase a refrigerator, stove, washer and dryer, paying $600. The refrigerator stopped cooling on Tuesday. I retrieved the paperwork for the appliance and remembered about the warranty. We called Spencer's. They looked up the invoice to confirm the warranty purchase. They then said they would call the warranty service company with our information. They also gave us the name/phone of the company - Centurion Service Corporation. We called Centurion Tuesday (late afternoon) and left a message. We got a call back from them on Wednesday (late morning). They said they needed to call GE Repair to set up an appointment. Then asked if we wanted to hold or get a call back. We said we would hold. 20 minutes later, we were hung up on. We waited all day for a call back to no avail. During that time we called Centurion and left messages 5 times. Finally, Thursday, after trying to get Centurion on the phone, at 9:30 am we decided to call another company, Dynamic Appliance Repair, to look at the fridge. Although they were booked solid for the day, they promised to have a technician to us between 11 and 2. The gentleman, Scott, showed up at our door at 11:30 am (with the needed parts). He expertly fixed our fridge (he knew what the problem was just from our description on the phone) and was gone by 12:00 noon. Turns out Scott is the owner of Dynamic Appliance Repair, who decided that because his other techs were booked, he took our call himself. That is customer service! While Scott was still here, Centurion called (big mistake!). They said that they have verified that we did in fact have an extended warranty. Excuse me? That was verified 4 days ago by the store! Then Centurion proudly told us they could have a technician to us by next Wednesday - 6 days out! OMG! They were told that we had already called someone else, and that the refrigerator was being worked on. We then called Spencer's. Told them what had been happening, and that we wanted a refund of our $600 because they breached our contract. They started in with this song and dance that the contract would be prorated ... blah, blah, blah. Moral of the story? Spencer's extended warranty is a fraud. Centurion Service is a sham. Buyer Beware! Refrigerator by Kitchen Aid are manufactured with obsolete parts. In June of 2010 we build a new Home in Arizona and decided on an entire Kitchen Aid Kitchen. We still had our 30 year old blender that worked like a CHAMP! Only 4 1/2 years later we have endured multiple repairs on every major appliance including, Range Convection Microwave, Dishwasher and Refrigerator. That said the worst experience was with the fridge, It is a built in 48". First repair was the ice tub for the ice maker as this poor design constantly freezes the ice to the bottom and the screw stops turning. Since the repair I have to maintain the amount of ice and never use the CRUSHED setting. But my favorite of all (pure sarcasm) is this month. The defrost cycle on the fridge just decided to quit, so the fridge side is nice and warm the the freezer side is a chilly -18F. I called their certified factory repair here in Phoenix who knows me by name now and they explained that due to 2011 Tsunami in Japan they were unable to get the new part needed. Turns out the engineers decided to place a simple timer for the defrost on the main ECU for this, so now you need the entire board which should cost about $100.00, but the Tsunami has increased the price to $2000.00 on Ebay and probably won't work when you install it. I called customer service last month in November and they explained they are testing new boards as their contract expired with the vendor who was fixing the old ones. I asked the girl what is their expected delivery, she said we have no way of knowing. I am an Aerospace Engineer with Honeywell and we work on Boxes that control entire Landing Functions with Complex Software. The Refrigerator Boards are made of very simple and cheap components there is no way this should take more than 2 weeks to completely test and re-manufacture new boards. I feel like this company has changed drastically and is not the same. I will never buy another Kitchen Aid Product in my lifetime. Maybe my 30 year old blender will continue to work but I can see myself replacing every other major appliance in less than 5 years. Very Disappointing Experience and Products from Kitchen Aid. Spoiler Alert: This is a good review read to the end. My wife and I went to Spencers TV & Appliance on power road today to buy a new washing machine. We looked at them for a few minutes and were approached by a sales person - I have his card but won't give his name. We told him about the problems we had with our current Maytag washer and explained that a part was on back order for 12 weeks. He went to check something and when he returned we told him we really liked the GE. He then showed us the new version of our current machine. I told him I didn't want another Maytag because of the current problem and he said it's a much better machine than the GE and would tell us why. The Maytag was about $100 more than the GE. He said, the lettering on the start button will eventually wear off on the GE - that was the big reveal! We said we want the GE, he said they won't be available until the middle of February or March without even looking. I said that's fine, we'll find it elsewhere and left. From the Parkin lot I found there was also a Spencer's TV & Appliance store by San Tan Mall. We were going to stop at Best Buy after our experience on Power and I'm so glad we didn't. We went in and after a few minutes were greeted by Bob Martin. He listened to what we wanted, found them in a warehouse nearby and got us a better deal than any other place around. I know, we looked. We're going to have it delivered Wednesday (4 days opposed to 15-30+). Bob was nice, friendly, knowledgeable but most importantly, took the time to listen to his customer and left us feeling good about our purchase. For the life of me, I can't figure out why the other salesperson at the other store let us walk; I can only assume his ego got the best of him and it cost that location a sale. I hope Bobs managers read this and share it with their staff because they can learn a lot from Bob - a good salesperson listens 80%, presents a solution overcomes objections, answers questions and closes the sale. Save your time and money. The sardonic sales representatives are guaranteed to give you the highest pricing, worst yet make you feel that delaying delivery is expected, ie be grateful Spencer's is on your side and will get your order ASAP. When I was told that it would be at least 3 months to receive I contacted the manufacture of the appliances and was told 10 days. vs the 3 months. The manufacture delivered as expected and at a lower cost. Why I did not check the manufacture first is my own stupidity. The worst part of my experience with Spencer's is receiving the refund. It had been 13 days from purchase to cancellation so I would receive a full refund, no restock fee.... It has been over 2 months since cancelling my order and Spencer continues to refuse to issue a refund. Spencer's sales will not provide the elusive corporate office phone number or respectfully address your complaint. All you will get is, I have worked here for, who cares number of years, and this has never happened. The sales representatives cannot provide documentation to the refund only that it happened. With this attitude You should avoid. The Spencer's I grew up transitioned to a tyranny of sales. I had to file a complaint with the AZ Attorney General, Visa and the bank. BUYER BEWARE. To end my story, VISA and Bank never received the electronic transfer and now the attorney general knows the dishonest practices of Spencer's. AVOID and call the manufacture if you want appliances. If you ask, a simple call to the manufacture will get you discounts that will exceed any brick/motor or online. read more

Absolute worst service and incompetent on all levels. Extremely disappointed with Spencer's for recommending and partnering with the terrible warranty company, Centurion. We purchased brand new Samsung Washer/Dryer from Spencer's in March of 2021. Spring of summer 2022, our dryer caught on fire. We did not have resolution with Centurion for 3.5 months. Roughly one month later, the spin on our washer goes out. Called the warranty company again. Weeks later, they schedule the same technician to assess the situation. Despite our daily calls for updates, 6 weeks later they claim parts are in and schedule the repair. The incompetence of the technician resulted in the wrong part ordered and installed and within 24 hours, the spin was no longer working again on our dryer and we were down again. Called the technician and warranty company again. Once again, disconnect between the worthless repair company, GOLDWING, and Centurion and one week later, they have no record of the new part needed on order or a date when we can have a dryer again. When we requested a new dryer and/or compensation for 6 months of laundromat trips, they declined any assistance with either and informed us we will need to wait for the new part to come in and for their availability to install. Wonderful experience at Spencer's TV & Appliances. Robert Martin helped me at the Gilbert store. I ordered a washer and dryer over the phone. It was delivered the next day and they were great, except I couldn't read the panel. After a week, I called Rob and told him I couldn't read the panel and wanted to exchange them. He talked to management and they exchanged them with no hassle. I ended up going into the store to meet with Rob. Very nice and knowledgeable about all the products. Told me about the Rebates on the LG washer and dryer. I shopped around and Spencer's had the best prices. I ended up ordering the LG 8100 series washer and dryer with pedestals and the GE Profile fingerprint less refrigerator. Awesome machines!!! When they delivered the washer and dryer, unfortunately they wouldn't fit under the cabinet. So they had to take the pedestals back. My husband moved the cabinets up and I called Rob and they re-delivered the pedestals and installed them with no extra charge. This was an Amazing experience. If I could, I'd give Rob and Spencer's TV a 10 I would !!! read more

I purchased a new washer and dryer the first week of October. I worked with Kevin Rymer over the phone and he expeditiously took care of my request and found exactly what we were looking for. Gave me a price that was much cheaper than the box stores and offered up next delivery. This is the second time we have purchased appliances from Spencer's and they have always been extremely easy to work with and no pressure to purchase. I highly recommend them for appliance purchases. Also I would like to shout out to the delivery gentlemen, Chris, Fabian and Edgar from Empire delivery. They unpacked everything and thoroughly inspected the appliances as well as ask me to inspect and make sure I was satisfied before they moved them into the house. This was the fourth appliance we purchased from Spencer's and it was a great experience from start to finish. We shopped for a built in refrigerator on Thursday. We decided on Spencer's and SubZero on Friday at 5 pm. I placed my order over the phone with my salesman and the delivery was scheduled for Saturday morning. During the take away of my old refrigerator the water shut off valve in my home broke and the refrigerator installation could not be completed until it was repaired. Vinny & Jake who attempted the installation set the refrigerator in my garage and left as they had other installations. After I repaired the water value, I called Spencer's at noon hoping they could come back and finish the installation. If they couldn't I'd have had to wait until Monday. We have been purchasing appliances from Kevin Rymer at Spencer's in Gilbert for over 5 years, and we have always had the very best service before, during, and after the purchases. During this period, we have purchased a GE washer, dryer, stove, two refrigerators, microwave, and dishwasher. Recently we just purchased two LG TV's from Kevin. Kevin has always gone the extra mile to check to make sure there aren't any additional discounts available through the manufacturer that he might have missed. Any warranty work we have needed was always taken care of promptly and professionally. We are in the process of purchasing a new home, and Kevin took the time to show us what appliances we will be getting through the builder even though he knew he wasn't going to get any sales out of all his work. Justin Morroni in sales and service for Spencers is top flight. My wife and I purchased a Sharp TV that by the second day of viewing developed a display problem. the TV had sat in the box for several weeks as we were remolding, the contractor had called for it too early. This was not Spencers fault we didn't open the box for weeks. I informed Justin and he gave me the procedure to verify if it needed to be replaced or repaired. Sharp said it needed to be replaced and offered us a refurbished TV. This was unacceptable to me, I declined their offer. I informed Justin, he said that wasn't right. Several months later and numerous calls to Sharp, Sharp authorized a swap with Spencers' for a new TV. We believe if Justin hadn't had our back and get involved we never would be complete with Sharp TV's. I highly recommend Justin. read more

I finally got around to shopping for a dishwasher, and realized that availability would be an issue during COVID. I was very pleased with options I had at Spencer's and my salesperson, Justin, was helpful and efficient at discussing options to replace our old Bosch dishwasher. Since Bosch dishwashers are on back order for months with no delivery date even known, I decided on one of the new 3 drawer KitchenAid dishwashers and had it installed within 2 weeks. While I haven't used it yet, the installer, Jesse, was ahead of schedule today and very efficient as well. He clearly knew how to remove and install the appliance and was careful and tidy. Well, it all started on Super Bowl Sunday. I needed a new washer and dryer. Paul Vasquez got that handled just great. He was an excellent communicator and very responsive! So....next thing you know, I ask him for help with a new apartment addition to our cabin in the White Mountains. He found the BEST appliances for the kitchen and laundry....get this...all at the best prices. There's even a rebate coming soon, too. You know someone has made a great impression when you are discussing him at dinner with friends. Then I found out that Spencer's also has great deals on luxury mattresses. Paul took care of coordinating it all! The delivery team did an excellent job with the 3 mattresses and 6 appliances. I can't thank you all enough. read more
