Home warranty was an option but you know you always get scheduled with the worst of the worst, and they couldn't schedule me in for a few days.. I checked up some reviews on Yelp and HVAC Guys showed up as the only 5 star reviewed provider. Curious I checked other platforms and all had glowing reviews, so I messaged the business on Yelp, and got a response almost immediately. It took me a bit to respond to him, given the chaotic household on a Saturday evening but I was made aware that there is an emergency service fee and the repair charges to fix! Rohan was on his way around 7pm! Rohan has a good demeanor and very personable. He got to work immediately and diagnosed the problem (capacitor). Within 20 mins I had my HVAC working again. He gave him quite a few pieces of relevant information about my HVAC and even cleaned the coils outside to make sure everything was tip top! The total charge was reasonable - please don't compare these with DIY costs as HVACs need some level of knowledge and expertise. They accept all forms of payment but Venmo/Zelle make it super easy to pay for the services. Highly recommended. They also offer maintenance, which is top on my list prior to me turning my heat on.

Thank you Rohan!! Absolute life saver...after seeing so many glowing reviews (whenever you see 4.9…read morestars and over 50 reviews you know someone is doing something right) I immediately reached out to Rohan after our HVAC heat stopped working on the coldest day of the year (so far!). It was after 5pm, and within a short time Rohan called me back that night and set up something that next day. I so appreciated that because not everyone returns calls after hours, and we (well I) was panicked. It's an old system and thus had multiple problems that Rohan diagnosed, one by one. Each time he did he called me downstairs so I could see what was going on. Not only did it build trust (which he didn't need to do - I could feel from the get go his trustworthiness) but it helped me to understand and learn. All of this troubleshooting required multiple trips and additional parts needed (some where he didn't leave until 9:45pm, one on a Sunday - his off day where he insisted on coming). It also required work arounds for an old system, and finding parts (who knew a Trane doesn't use universal parts?!). But all along he kept a really good attitude, and always went the extra mile. We got a new thermostat and he opened it up to make sure the wires were all put on correctly (when he didn't have to) as just one example. He cleaned everything out - coils, etc. as well. He just deeply cares about his work and clients. He even checked in later that night once things were all finally fixed to make sure all was still good. When you have a problem that you know nothing about you have to rely on others. You hope they know what they're doing, are really good at it, and are truly looking out for you. Welp, we sure did find that. I am so grateful to Rohan and yelp. Thanks Yelpers for writing up about his stellar work - you are not wrong!!! Thank you Rohan!!!!!! You are our one and only now!!

Best HVAC experience we've had in 30 years…read more Our upstairs unit stopped cooling and we called another local HVAC company out to look at it. Took their tech just 10 minutes to tell us we were low on freon due to a bad coil and we were looking at $3500 to replace. Guy never used a leak detector he just knew the leak was in the coil. I wanted a 2nd opinion before spending that kind of money so I called J&R based on their 5 star Yelp rating and the things people were saying in their reviews. Joe showed up, immediately took the unit apart, and spent over an hour using a leak detector to try to locate the coolant leak. Couldn't find a leak. He ended up leaving the system pressurized with nitrogen over a weekend only to come back on Monday and find no pressure loss. No leak - no bad coil. The issue was the other guys (who've serviced our units for 2 yrs) had left the valve caps loose on the exterior unit. Joe's diligence and honesty saved us a lot of money and earned him a customer for life. Its really rare nowadays to find someone with this kind of ethics. Joe's a likeable guy, explains what he's doing and why, and isn't out there trying to run up the tab on the repair. You sometimes hear companies saying they'll treat you like family. Joe never said that and its not on their website or their marketing material but that's definitely how I felt I was treated - like family.

Exceptional Service from Beginning to End…read more I cannot say enough positive things about my experience with Isaac Adkison of TE Certified and the exceptional service he provided from our initial consultation through the completion of a significant plumbing repair at my home. I contacted TE Certified after discovering a concealed hot-water leak beneath the slab of my home. From the very first visit, Isaac stood out because of the thoroughness of his assessment, his knowledge, and the amount of time he took to help me understand what was happening and the different options available to address it. This was a major repair decision for me, and rather than rushing me toward a particular solution, Isaac carefully explained the advantages, disadvantages, uncertainties, and long-term considerations associated with each option. Over the days that followed, I had many questions--and I mean many! Isaac answered every one of them with an incredible amount of patience, professionalism, and detail. He never made me feel as though I was asking too much or taking up too much of his time. When I needed clarification about specific items on the estimates, how the proposed reroute would work, the existing plumbing, freeze concerns, accessibility, restoration, or the potential for future issues, he consistently responded with thoughtful and knowledgeable explanations that helped me make an informed decision. What impressed me just as much was his honesty. When there were things he could not know with absolute certainty until the walls were opened or the existing piping was further evaluated, he said so. I greatly appreciated that. I never felt pressured or given false assurances simply for the sake of making a sale. When I ultimately asked Isaac what he would recommend as the best long-term solution for my particular home, he gave me a clear professional recommendation and thoroughly explained his reasoning. That gave my family and me the confidence we needed to proceed with rerouting the hot- and cold-water lines to the kitchen through conditioned interior space. On the day of the work, that same level of professionalism continued. After locating the plumbing manifold beside the refrigerator, Isaac made an extremely clean and precise opening in the drywall, preserving the piece so that it could be neatly replaced afterward. As the routing plan developed, he initially proposed one solution, but when I expressed concern about how it would affect the appearance and countertop area of the kitchen, he listened to my concerns and was completely receptive to exploring an alternative route I suggested. He evaluated it carefully and determined that the new lines could instead be routed behind the refrigerator and stove and through the lower cabinetry to the sink. The result exceeded my expectations. Isaac, with the assistance of Reeves, completed the work with tremendous care and attention to detail. The new lines were insulated, neatly routed and securely installed, and the workmanship throughout was exceptionally clean and organized. They protected the surrounding areas while working, treated the home with care, and left the kitchen looking virtually unchanged despite the extent of the plumbing work that had been completed. You would never know from looking at the finished kitchen that such a significant reroute had taken place. Most importantly, after the new lines were installed and the water was restored, Isaac checked the water meter to verify the result. The meter was no longer moving. After dealing with the stress of a concealed leak and having to keep the hot water shut off, seeing that meter remain still--and knowing the leak had finally been resolved--was an enormous relief. Another thing I greatly respect is that the project remained at the best-case estimate I had authorized: $2,915. There were opportunities throughout this process for the scope or cost to increase, but Isaac remained transparent about the work that was actually necessary and completed the agreed-upon repair accordingly. There is a difference between someone who simply knows how to perform a trade and someone who combines technical expertise with integrity, communication, patience, problem-solving, respect for the homeowner, and genuine pride in his work. In my experience, Isaac demonstrated all of those qualities. I also want to recognize Reeves for his assistance in completing the work so carefully and efficiently. Together, they did an immaculate job. As a homeowner, especially when dealing with a costly repair in an area outside of your own expertise, it is incredibly important to feel that you can trust the person advising you. Isaac earned that trust. He did not just repair a plumbing problem; he helped me understand it, thoughtfully walked me through a difficult decision, listened to my concerns, and ultimately delivered a solution that I feel very confident about. I am genuinely grateful that Isaac was the plumber assigned to m

The long and short of it is that they sent out two clearly incompetent people, who fixed everything but what was needed on my washing machine, including taking out the better motor I had for a better machine than the one I ended up with. Everything they did was wrong, and cost me my machine. They reimbursed me for what I'd spent after all the hell, but they came and took their parts out of my machine, and their reimbursement was just enough to buy a much more cheaply made machine - not one the quality of my original. My old one was toast! Then about 2 months later, the new one did exactly the same thing I called Lanny Adams for and as it turned out according to the new company I called, there was lent somewhere down the line that had Lanny Adams known what they were doing, they would have fixed the old machine the first time. Plus the office workers are all nice, but they defer to the owner on everything, and he micro-managers grown people like their are children, and talks to you like he's reprimanding you like a crusty old grandfather -- while being dead wrong! Amazing. They might have been good at one time, but I've never experienced such an unnecessary nightmare. In addition to all the times I had to be home for the service calls, they would still only give a time range of about 4 hours, and not a definite time. It is all about them, and they pretend to be about you. Bad, bad news and not worth the headache. If you want to gamble that you'll get a horror show, they Lanny Adams!

As a Disabled Veteran, living on a fixed income, I had four (4) bids for repair and replacement of my HVAC. BLOW evaluated the system and sourced an updated and more efficient system. I put a deposit down and was informed that they are available for installation on the following business day. They arrived at 9:30 am and finished installation by noon. They evaluated the output temperature of each vent throughout the house. The flow was balanced, and the comfort level is better than it had ever been since 2008 when I bought the house. I had a large HVAC company complete yearly system maintenance that had NEVER balanced the system NOR. Inform me on how cleaning the coils could boost the lifespan and performance of the system. They spent a lot of time selling the idea for an upgrade to a dual zone system. Their estimates were DOUBLE what BLOW charged. Unfortunately, they did not…read morestand the test of time and I definitely would not recommend Maintenance Unlimited to anyone. The good news is that I suffered the headache others can avoid :) First, the prior work done was not completed and I was hoping they would come back to finish the project properly so that all the systems installed or modified can function correctly. They didn't show up after 2 months of scheduling and constant rescheduling of appointments. All the folks (Darrell & Pam) I mentioned in the previous review turned out to be unreliable - excuse upon excuse. I eventually gave up and found another provider to fix up all their mess and wrap up the project correctly. Second, there were several competency issues with the duct work done. A few examples are: 1) should the supply from an ERV that outputs 200 CFM be connected to the plenum of an HVAV that outputs 2000 CFM? A pro should know that the HVAC will win and blow air back into the ERV. 2) Similarly, should the supply from a Dehumidifier that blows ~100 CFM be connected to the same HVAC plenum? These are seemingly basic air flow considerations any HVAC pro should know. 3) They put only 2 returns (14in and 10in flex ducts) on a 2000 CFM HVAC. I'm not an HVAC pro but even I knew this was not enough return. I had to point out to Darrell to use a duct sizing calculator to figure out how much return was still missing. 4) They couldn't wire my thermostat (Nest - latest gen) to the dehumidifier (Aprilaire E080) correctly too. So many red flags... Third, as a last resort, I called the office to ask to speak to a manager/supervisor. It seems that office rep is pre-programmed to state someone will call back "at their earliest convenience" with an unpleasant attitude to boot. After more than 3 weeks, no call back. Overall, my experience started well but crashed badly. Life is about lessons and even better when you can learn from others' failures. This was a nightmare over a 5 month period and I hope nobody experiences this with them again.
