Reviews about NASTY, UNWELCOMING workers and atmosphere CONFIRMED!! Walked in the front door and stood safely distanced from the customer in front of me until the wonderful counter guy with glasses utters, "come around here guy!" So we're off to a good start. Held out the faucet cartridge that I needed replaced and now being helped by a burnt out, motorcycle pirate that looks like he's stuck in a .38 Special music video snarled, grunted, made some pirate sounds and walked away. After standing aimlessly at the counter I decided to follow the buccaneer just to have him growl that they don't have the part. Wow, funny how all reviews have a similar recollection. I ultimately ended up going to Island Plumbing supply in bay shore on Brentwood road where the two guys at the counter were as nice as pie and could see what part I needed with merely glimpsing at the old part. Lastly, I told them the story about my wonderful experience at Ferguson and they had their own miserable experience at the same establishment, describing how they are all some union leaches. read more

The worst! A very non-friendly female came from outside smelling like smoke asking "What do you want?"... That is how I was greeted. Can't say that I've ever "felt the love" at Blackman's. But regardless, I've gone there to buy kitchen and or bathroom products. It' a business, and they do have good quality products; though at fairly high prices (not the place where you are going to find a bargain). However, on the night of 11/8/18 I visited the showroom in Medford. I had my mother with me because she is elderly and I keep her company on Thursday nights. Well, there were only two women working there and they were not the most hospitable. Immediately upon entering the showroom there was a cold welcome. Anyway, my mother and I made our way down to the kitchen sink faucets where I was looking to purchase a faucet. I have just invested $80,000 in renovating my kitchen and I was looking to use good quality products. Soon the elder of the two women came over, and she was one of the most rude people I have met in a long time. She held nothing back in trying to make me feel stupid and like I was bothering her. Early in our conversation I told her my wife was interested in a brushed nickel kitchen faucet., She snaps at me and tells me "There is no such thing as a brushed nickel finish!! (Excuse me! It thought there was.) Then she asks me if when I want the faucet. I told her "tonight." Then she scolded me and accused me of looking at the google website and not the Blackman's website, because if I did then I would've known that they don't sell products after 5. I told her, "I did look at Blackman's website and saw that it showed they were open until 9 pm." She then abruptly and very rudely told me, "The SHOWROOM is open until 9. NOT THE PARTS DEPARTMENT!!!" (Well excuse me again!!) I explained to her that I did see that but that I didn't know that the showroom didn't allow me to buy anything. This was only the beginning. I'm not going to list all the events during this exchange that I found her to be offensive, disrespectful, unprofessional, rude... simply very snotty. I left. I drove to the local Lowe's and bought myself, what I believe is a very nice faucet for less than half the price and, I had a much more pleasant buying experience. Needless to say, I won't be going back to Blackman's in the near future. This is the kind of story I'll be sharing with all my coworkers at Stony Brook Hospital. I work there as a Physician Assistant and this is the kind of stuff doctors, nurses, PA's, X-ray technologists, etc... we all talk about. Clearly this woman had no interest or incentive to do business with me. And obviously I bothered her by simply entering. For what reason, I do not know. I came in with cash in my pocket and the last I checked the $500+ I had was equal to the $500+ in the pocket of everyone else. Why she is works there, I can't figure out. read more

Used Google for nearest showroom (Medford) arrived to find showroom closed. Used Google for nearest location (Riverhead) called and asked if Riverhead was open for business. Sarcastic reply. Specifically stated Medford location was not open and wanted to view sinks and faucets. Drove to Riverhead to be told they did not have up to date fixtures and was directed to another location. I spent $2000 for a bathroom vanity and shower. My contractor said shower body defective. I wanted to return a $200 product out of the $2000 I spent. They refused to return my money because a 20cent screw was missing. I have a second bath. Trust me I will never shop there again. read more

Run don't walk away from this horrible, rude place. I was warned about this but didn't listen. After redoing 2 bathrooms, they have cost me endless dollars in returning, reordering and worst of all having my plumber here 3 to 4 times more than he needed to be....for hours! There Is not enough space for me to list all the problems but, briefly it started with 2 broken faucets, 2 faulty shower heads, a toilet that needed an adapter kit (that took a week to find) and finally another toilet that was completely wrong. I ordered two Toto toilets exactly the same and I got one that was modern and low slung and I got another one that is traditional, high and more ornate. This project is now going on almost 4 months ... all because of Ferguson Plumbing Supply. I havent seen the bill yet, but my plumber has installed, uninstalled, repackaged and reinstalled faucets, shower heads and toilets for the last few months. I wish I had listened! read more

Everytime i deal with them something like this happens. Im a plumber and called them at 3:30 for a part that i couldnt find elsewhere. They swore they had it. I told them i was 35 minutes away are you sure you have it. I get there and guess what happens. No part. Sorry we dont have it we cant find it. It shows we have 2. But oyr bohemia store has 1. While they have a fancy showroom, they do not actualy stock any of the items, and just order them from another distributor, waiting to get several orders so they can receive a volume doscount. After waiting several weeks for our items, they were delivered in opened boxes, with some of the packing removed, and damaged. The boxes themselves were also loaded incorrectly on the truck. There is a reason the manufacturer packs them a certain way and puts arrows and markings on the box that state "this side up." You are better off ordering from an online outfit like build.com, which had the items in stock, shipped them for free the very next day, where they arrived in perfect condition, at close to $750 savings. After being a customer for 20+ years, I will never use them again. read more

I read the negative reviews so I was expecting the worst. I had to write a positive review: we were greeted by the staff upon walking in and they were extremely knowledgeable about our furnace issue and offered tips to get the job done. We did come prepared with pictures and parts that needed replacing. We left there feeling more confident about tackling this furnace project. The more info.
