I was extremely disappointed because they said they would not work on my vehicle I would have to go back to the previous Mazda dealership too far away to get it worked on to correct a problem that Mazda had agreed to correct. I even have a Mazda case number in a Mazda customer service experience representative on the case and explain this to them it would be no cost to the dealership because it would be reimbursed by Mazda corporation but whoever runs their service department didn't even give me the opportunity to bring the vehicle in they just said no go to the place where you got it worked out before which is over an hour away. It's a 2018 CX five that was having some odor coming into the cabin air I don't think it would be that complicated to fix but I was really put off by how I was dismissed from their service manager . As a result of this I refused to buy a single vehicle from this Mazda dealership I'll go over to Clearwater instead were there a lot friend . I would like to send a message to the owner of this particular Mazda dealership in Brandon that if you keep having your service managers treat your customers like this they're not gonna come back to buy another vehicle from you. read more

The parts department within this dealership works until whatever time they please to work. I order a part on Monday and was told would be here Tuesday; it didn't arrive and the rep at the desk said would arrive by Thursday morning. Thursday comes and no one calls me about the part arriving; I call the parts department 26 times beginning at 5:40pm (Parts Dept closes at 6pm on Thursday as per website) and no one answered ANY calls. I arrived to the Parts Dept at 5:54pm and doors are locked which gives me the impression that someone did not want to work or wanted to leave early and did not want tend to customers. Reviews do wonders. Since my last visit I can say Joseph assisted me and went above and beyond in my sure my car was taken care. I needed some diagnostics ran on my vehicle to see what was causing the lights on the dashboard to show up and he was able to assist me. In fact with the assist of the mechanics there were able to identify where the wires were left unplugged by the collision center and plugged them back in for me and also updated my entertainment system. The staff here is pretty transparent and understanding when it comes to situation with the vehicle. Although there are still on-going issues with my vehicle, it is already documented and they are tracking what's going on and thankfully it's just one person I'm working with. This place is a well oiled machine. I purchased a cx5 in 2021 and I'm very happy with the car. Every time I come to the dealership for anything I wind up with $1000 plus bill. This is on a car that's barely 3 years old and has only 38,000 miles on it. The last time I was told I needed three tires, two different filters and a belt tensioner for a grand total of $1400. I know nothing about cars, but after looking on Google, I found that a belt tensioner in a CX5 2021 should last for the lifetime of the car. I quickly went to Riverview tire and auto who did all the work for half the price and told me the tensioner was just fine. I am angry and sorely disappointed with Ferman Mazda. I feel they incentivize their techs on commission for work performed and this makes for poor service and excessive markup. I'm a loyal Mazda customer but Ferman Mazda off my list of trusted businesses. Only go here if you want to be ripped off!!!! read more

Yesterday I took my Mazda to get an oil change after trying to take it to many different places and dealerships. I live in Tampa so Brandon was a little farther than the other locations however I had a positive experience here and would go back. I did feel like the price was about double what I used l pay for my Toyota however it was worth it for the level of service. I have never been referred to as "sir" and been thanked as many times as I was by every staff member. I did think the waiting room was a little bit haphazardly put together like a spare office they threw a tv and a fridge in so people could have a place to wait. Other dealerships have a designated waiting room which is more customized for the guests however it did have refreshments like sodas, coffee and tea, and cereal bars while I waited. They estimated my wait time to be 1.5 hrs however they competed it in 1 hr. I left feeling appreciated as a customer and that even though I paid a little more than I usually do, it was worth it. I did notice typically at other dealerships I would sign something agreeing to the services and price prior to them completing the service, however I didn't sign anything prior, only at checkout after the oil change was completed. If you'd prefer to know this beforehand, you may want to ask or request a quote so you aren't surprised by the bill. I would suggest checking the coupons online as well prior to your visit. Also, I was able to make a same day appointment online and they even accepted me 30 minutes earlier than my appointment time. read more

Tips if you must use this shop: -Know and tell the service rep up front if you have the Mazda pre-maintenance paid package or extended warranty. This shop does not automatically check your VIN and they WILL charge you if you do not remind them every single time. ( Supposedly they can't make "notes" on your account. ) -Research what problems are known about your new vehicle and make sure those items are repaired before the 36k regular warranty. Once warranty is up - it's a guarantee they will find something that needs done so extended warranty is useful. -Lastly the service department does get paid Commission for services, so every "recommendation" for your car needs to be researched. Todays Example - 37k miles and Ferman now wants to ask if i want them to replace 2 belts not covered by warranty that were NOT mentioned EXACTLY two weeks ago. This is a review for the Ferman Mazda service department. I had a very unpleasant experience there this afternoon. When I came to pick up my vehicle this afternoon, there was a family of three people being helped at the service desk. Neither of these three people had a mask on, despite the numerous signs posted on the doors and the mask requirement listed on the dealerships website. In addition to this family, one of the employees who was behind the desk had his mask on his chin, which covered neither his nose, nor his mouth. While I was there, none of the employees asked the family to put masks on, or to wait outside. They were able to speak to the service advisor, pay for their service, and pick up their keys all without a mask on. While I understand that businesses are put in a difficult position when enforcing mask mandates, this is a health and safety issue that impacts many more people. Florida reported 16,000 COVID-19 cases on Thursday alone. Protecting the health and safety of other customers and employees should matter more than the possibility of offending one customer. Let me start by saying I hate the new car buying process. But as for buying processes, these guys gave me one of the more pleasant buying experiences. Their internet sales were slow, but eventually they replied to my inquiry. From there, the rest was left to the showroom salesman and I to work out. After the sale, the regular maintenance and one recall job were all very easy. They offer an on line appointment system. The waiting area ( just off to the side of the showroom) is comfortable. The coffee machine and snacks are a super nice touch. Service is pretty quick...and for regular oil changes they haven't pushed other add on options. read more

This is an issue that go back about a year ago, when I had my CX-9 in for an oil change. Fast forward. A few days ago, I decided to save some money and do the next oil change myself. I expected to remove a Mazda brand filter (or the equivalent), and was puzzled as to why the filter Ferman had used was a Mobil One. I am pretty sure that a dealer oil change wouldn't use such an expensive, high end filter. I am certain that it was a used one, off another car. If so, it had been used for the 11,000 miles it was on my CX-9, in addition to however many miles it had on it before my car got it. This could not have been good for the engine, nor my confidence in Ferman's Service Dept. This issue is a year in the past, so there is no recourse -why would I have looked at the filter anyway? Just a piece of advice, people. Make them let you see the new filter after it is on the car, and make sure it is noted on the invoice. They filled and said nothing wrong. 5 miles after I left dealership it came on again. I live 20 miles from dealership , was not able to go back and left on vacation the next day. I must say I'm pleased with the new updates some of them being: -A new beverage machine (like a keurig but better) -wider variety of snacks -schedule system that allows you to view from the waiting area what stage your vehicle is in from arrival, in progress to completion. -Mazda tv screen entertainment (always on) -friendly and welcoming customer service -easier service scheduling when you call in to make an appointment -immediate updates and recommendations printed out so that you can maintain your vehicle. For those patrons who loved the coveted Florida avenue location (that is no longer available) I must say the same spirit is almost apparent at this branch! Sam Gunnoe is the best service advisor! His professional manner and willingness to go out of his way to create the best experience has been noted every time I visit. The waiting area and bathrooms are well kept and clean. They also feature a children's play area. The only change I wish they had is an enclosed waiting area that would prohibit the noises and conversations from the sales department from being overheard by the clients who are waiting in service. read more

I then took the vehicle back to Ferman after making an appointment on July 13th at 11am and again requested a rental vehicle should the car need to stay in the shop however when I got there Sam Gunoe the service adviser had advised me that due to COVID-19 They were out of Rental cars .After an hour and half of waiting between "repairs" and oil change I was told that the SD card was defective and needed to be changed and if I still had the issue to come back. So on Thursday July 30th, 2020 after the glitching had gotten worse and worse over time. I made an appointment to come on Saturday August 1st at 9am again when I made the appointment I had asked for a rental vehicle if my car needed to be kept to fix it as This is my 3rd time coming here for the same problem only to be told by Sam Gunoe that the last rental vehicle was going out as I got there for a 9am appointment that was set days before only to be told you are going to have to come back anyway as we do not have the part, yet still no rental vehicle and I am going to have to sacrifice my Living and spend another day off of work losing money to take care of something that should have been taken care of the first time around. read more

This was the worst experience I have had at a car dealership. I have been looking for a specific vehicle for quite some time and noticed this vehicle was in their inventory online. I called the dealership to see if this vehicle was available, they told me it wasn't quite ready yet but would be in a couple of days. I explained this worked for me and made an appointment for when it would be available to test drive and purchase. The morning of my scheduled appointment I got a text to confirm I would be there. I confirmed. It took me an hour to drive to the dealership and when I arrived to my appointment, they told me the car was not ready and would not be available to test drive or purchase. I was frustrated but agreed to look at a couple other vehicles, although, they weren't the exact car or price point I wanted. They showed me more expensive models and I told them I was not interested. I told them I instead wanted to wait for the car I initially inquired about. The salesperson then proceeded to tell me that the car I wanted would probably be sold the same evening (even though he told me it wouldn't be available to purchase until the next day because it "wasn't ready"). I am very frustrated and it feels like a "bait and switch" to me. This dealership will never be getting my business. read more

I went with three stars because the service department is awesome but sales wasn't. My buying experience was less than stellar. I had a number in mind and was determined to get it. Mom and I had been there for a few hours and needed to eat. I was starting to get the shakes, and didn't know about their snack basket in the waiting area. I wish the sales rep had told me. Instead, he ran back to his managers office every time we tried to leave. Basically told me it was now or never. At one point I looked over at the office and noticed them not doing anything. Stalling us over $500 at that point. When we started walking toward the door, they both darted at us from the manager's office with the number I wanted. My mom told them I had low blood sugar just so they'd hold it until we got back. I wanted the car for the price they gave me, I just didn't want to pass out over it. The loan specialist was quite friendly and professional, but by the time we met with her I was beyond drained. I knew from experience that buying a car is exhausting, but several hours to budge a few grand is ridiculous. I will say that I absolutely love my new ride, and have brought her to the service department for oil changes and tire repairs. The staff has been wonderful. Minimal wait time for appointments and walk in visits. The waiting area has high top tables, and cushioned seating around the tv. The fridge offers bottled water, juice, and Gatorade. There's coffee, tea, and a basket full of healthy snacks as well. Whenever I get bored I just walk around the lot and admire the pretty Mazda's. I would buy from here again but I wouldn't be as patient. read more
