Had such a great experience buying a used car for my daughter. Very good customer service from the first contact online. We were shopping for months for a used car for our daughter and had many bad experiences with other dealerships. The atmosphere is open and relaxed, no pressure or hidden fees/charges. Great place, I own a CX-7 and a 3 5 door, both from this dealership because they know how to cut a good deal. The service department is a little iffy, I went in today after scheduling my first service late last night, and even with a confirmation email, they did not have my reservation in the system and offered to let me sit there for 3 hours waiting for an opening... no thanks! I know this is probably an isolated incident, but I also believe I am not the first person this has happened to. These guys should probably work on getting a centralized computer system that interfaces better! read more

I have been a customer of Ferman Mazda for years now and I wouldn't go anywhere else. My first car was from Ferman Chevrolet so I've been going through them for all of my automotive needs for over 15 years now. They make car buying (or leasing, in my case) a painless experience and they really go out of their way to get you in and out with what you need as fast as possible without any of the typical car buying nonsense. I really can't say enough good things. I have also referred many of my friends here and they have been extremely impressed as well. Awful experience with service dept. Husband went to get oil change and tire rotation with coupon mailed to him. Got in argument with Eric over type of oil he can use. After argument Eric told my husband to get the f###, off property and to never come back. While elderly hubby got in car. Eric started pushing his car door on his leg. Alittle more arguing and hubby was able to pull his leg in his miata before could get injured. And was able to drive off with Eric still cussing at him to never come back. Which is fine because hubby looking for a new miata convertible but will definitely go to another dealer. read more

Joseph was very helpful and answered my questions and even honored coupons that I had from another Mazda dealership! The store is very clean and the waiting area has coffee, sodas, and snacks available. Free wi-fi and plenty of seating. You'll be able to text you service advisor anytime while waiting for updates. Amazing is the only word to describe this dealership and our salesperson, Monica! I have never had an experience buying a car that could match the service, attention, and politeness that we received from Ferman. We came to Ferman still rattled with anxiety after dealing with another terrible Mazda dealership in the area expecting something to go wrong or to meet at least one person that wasn't pleasant, but that never happened. Right down to the bitter end last night at 11:00PM Braxton and Tim were great to deal with. We actually had fun talking with everyone there. I can't thank Ferman enough -- it made me very happy to see a smile on my wife's face last night when we left with our new cars (rather than stress and anxiety). I am also very appreciative of the fact that they went out of their way to locate and obtain both vehicles we wanted in such a short amount of time. Monica gave me the option to take the same model in a different color that they had on their lot, but was more than willing to find the color I wanted at another dealership. Amazing Service Department I recently had a major issue with the air conditioning on my miata. I called Sam in service and he immediately made me an appt to get the car looked at. The problem was diagnosed almost immediately and they gave me a fantastic loaner while my car was being fixed. I can't thank Sam and Ferman Mazda enough for taking care of my car so well. I've only ever been here once and that experience was so bad that I'll never be back or recommend to anyone. So I had a recall on my car and set up an appt for a Saturday morning. Woke up early and drove over. Got to the service area and the jerk working immediately told me that my car wouldn't be taken in at all as it was too busy. First of all I had scheduled the appointment a week in advance. Someone should've called me before I wasted time and gas driving over. Wished I would've made more of a issue about the bs treatment I received with the dealer manager. Consumer beware!!! Consider this review your warning!!!! If you want a dealer to ignore your concerns, and not fix your car, no matter how "small" the job, this place is for YOU! My car is just one year old, and only the second visit to the service department at Brandon Mazda! I noticed my car's tire pressure light indicator come on...during the stress of Hurricane Irma!!! Well, since I was scheduled to take my car in for a check up and oil change, I just took my car to Olin Mott to add nitro air, to the tire, since I knew I'd have it in the dealer a week later. The nice mechanic at Olin Mott filled my tire, and stated he thought the tire had a nail in it. I told him, no worries, just fill it, my Mazda point check and oil change was due, and I had an appointment that following Tuesday, and would ask them to fix it then! Well, the dealer took my car, had it for an hour, and after "not finding" a nail, I questioned the reason my car's tire pressure was showing low? After a struggle in getting them to take the car back to the technician, not twenty minutes later, they called back and stated they still could not see a problem! Reluctantly I took my car, after speaking with the manager, and him promising me the "master mechanic" had checked and double checked everything he could!!!!! I was so upset that they basically fluffed me off, and he then proceeded to threaten that it may be my tires, and that it would be a "costly" problem to fix!!! In his words, "especially on your car"! Really? Sounds like they wanted to sell me another tire! After two days, my car's low pressure indicator light came back on !!!! I then called the road service (after my tire flattened) and ended up taking my tire to Olin Mott, in which they fixed within 20 minutes, for under $25!!!! Wow really Brandon Mazda, your "master mechanic" checked it out??? Really????!!!!! Needless to say I will never use them again!!!! Purchased a used Mazda 6 from the dealership and on a positive note the process was relatively (quick) and everyone at the dealership was nice. The price I paid was the same as what Carmax (usually the top price in the market) was offering on an almost identical but non-certified vehicle and more than what other dealers were offering similar vehicles for (unfortunately I was too late to grab those deals). As for the certification, the first time I used the windshield wipers, the driver's side one flew off and the wiper arm scratched the windshield. The attachment point was obviously bent. Not going to drive over an hour to take it back and complain. What really got me upset was the financing. Though Mazda (Chase) they got me 6.59%. The funny thing is I got financed for a Used car 18 months ago through a different lender at 3.99%, which was not a special rate and paid it off 6 months ago. My credit is the same or better than it was then. That lender is currently offering starting at 3.24%. Needless to say the first order of business was to get out from under that rate. Bottom line I needed to replace my existing car now, had a specific vehicle, year, and mileage that I wanted, missed out on better deals and as a result overpaid on both the price of the vehicle and the financing. They were nice folks though and the process was relatively quick. UPDATE: Got a pre-approval from Capital One for the car I purchased for 4% which was 1.59% better than what the dealership offered. So my experience would be that there are less expensive places to buy both from a bottom line and financing standpoint. Of course the dealership wants to talk to me after the fact to 1. present a better appearance on here and 2. try to convince me to pull my review down. I love they text me as soon as I get it in letting me know if I need to reach them I can text back, they text back with any updates and when service is competed. I don't understand why sales aren't mentioned on here, besides one good review. I've purchased two vehicles from Ferman and it's been a bad experience both times. I love my Mazda's (hence the two stars, which they really have nothing to do with...) but I will not be back to this dealership. They promised me 90 days no payments.... it's written all over their website. I even received a text about the deal. I ended up with the standard 45. My fault for trusting my salesperson to communicate my terms with the finance manager.... should have taken my time and not blown through the paperwork. When I emailed my salesperson about it, she retorted, "guess I take the blame for everything... My GM will be in touch". I haven't heard a peep from Ferman, it's been a week. Three years ago the finance manager lured me into a service package that absolutely wasn't what he described. I ended up getting some of my money back... but after two sour deals, this is it for me. My first time going to this Mazda for service. I just got a very slightly used Mazda CX-5 and it needed a 15,000 mile service. Sam took great care of me and greeted me with a smile when I got there. They had me in and out in about an hour, which Sam had predicted as well. It's nice to know that I have a great new Mazda service place to go to! Wish I could rate this place at 0 stars because it doesn't even deserve a 1. I'm a beyond frustrated at how my car has been handled. My engine was over heating and I had my car towed to the dealership, before it got there I called the service desk to let them know. The girl took all the information down (this was at 10am) I get a call at 1:30 pm asking why my car was brought in and what needs to be looked at. I was dumbfounded! So it took me calling twice to even reach the guy and finally explain what happened. Well I didn't hear anything from the guy all day. Left him a voicemail at 4:30 and didn't get a call back. Well at 5:30 I called again and the girl at the front desk stated that he was already gone for the day (they don't close till 6:30) and she stated he was the only one who could pull up my file. ITS THANKSGIVING WEEK AND I HAVE TO WORK. So now I have to wait for tomorrow morning for them to open up and get this situated. Plus this isn't the first time they messed things up. Last time I had to take my car here they didn't fix my car correctly and it was leaking oil everywhere. I tried not taking it here but sadly the Lakeland and plant city dealership were all booked up. Called and talked to a "DAVID" in sales on Friday morning June 12th and told him I was interested in purchasing a car. He said he would get back to me with some answers. It is now Tuesday June 16th, and I never heard back. Do car salesman no longer work on commission?? Do dealers not push their sales team to to sell cars, communicate with customers and reply back to them? I don't get it. This review is for the service department only. I leased my vehicle through this location and had a fantastic experience but the service department gave me a very different experience. Upon arriving for my appointment I knew I was in trouble when it took 15 minutes for someone to get me checked in. This is my first lease so I had a few questions about how the service process works for a leased vehicle and what the maintenance plan I purchased at the beginning of my lease included. The guy checking me in was extremely rude and demeaning and every time I tried to ask if the oil change would be covered by my maintenance plan, he would speak over me and say "It's not free, you paid for it" very loudly. That was not my question. I understood that I paid for the maintenance plan, I wanted to know my out of pocket cost for my service that day. As I was waiting for my vehicle, I observed a situation that was disturbing. There was an elderly woman there waiting for her car to be serviced who had been there for 5 hours waiting. She got up to ask what the progress was and all of the service reps blew her off and told her it was almost done. That went on for the 2 hours that I was waiting for my car to be serviced. I was only there for my first maintenance visit which included an oil change and tire rotation and it took 2 hours so I understood this lady's frustration. From what I saw, this group of service workers took advantage of this elderly woman, made her wait for her car for 6 hours and seemed annoyed when she wanted a status update. They should be ashamed of themselves for treating an elderly woman that way. Why didn't someone call her a shuttle to go home? I understand that they were busy with several appointments, but this came down to just treating people with respect. After witnessing the way this department handled the situation, I would drive hours out of my way to go somewhere else. As for my own experience, my vehicle was finally finished after 2 hours. The same rude guy checked me out and quickly had me sign papers without any explanation of what service was provided. I expected them to ask me questions about my vehicle was performing since it was my first appointment but there was 0 follow up. Although I love my Mazda, after this service experience I can't wait to turn my lease in. read more

Today was another day I regret buying a Mazda. The first is they are not able to fix anything. The second reason, I purchase my car from them. I take it there for scheduled checkup to keep up with the warranty. Today I decided to give them another chance. I need 4 tires. I telephone them and asked for the cost of four tires. They ask for my vin number. I replied, can you go by my name and telephone number and street address? I purchased the car there. The answer was the parts department has a different database. I hung up on them. I could have found my vin number, but they are frustrating to deal with. read more

I bought a used car from a Ferman dealer in June 2012. I am a retired senior citizen. They discovered that I had just moved to the area, was mentally tired and a little depressed. They negotiated a fair price with me and then made me wait in their waiting room for over an hour. Then they presented me with the bill, which to my discredit I did not read closely. It included a $677 charge for refurbishing the used car, which was not mentioned during negotiations. After I discovered the charge, too late, they refused to do anything about it. I have since purchased a new battery, 4 new tires and gotten the turn signal fixed. They appear to be cunning while think nothing of cheating a senior citizen. The sales coordinator made a "VIP" appointment for me and called to confirm. When I arrived (after traveling 45 mins in pouring rain) the car I came to test drive was no where to be found. Salesman (Juan) seemed to have no idea what I came for. No communication between coordinator and sales staff whatsoever. No apology or explanation. I was unsure whether I wanted a 2016 or the new 2017 SUV when I went to Ferman Mazda. I had tested both vehicles at other dealers, but still had not made up my mind. The salesperson/manager was very helpful, accompanying me on test drives of both models and pointing out the differences. I had researched the price of both cars car before I went there. The car I eventually chose was in stock in the model and color I wanted, and the price seemed fair (a bit lower than the other dealers). Once the deal was struck I moved on to Finance. The finance manager was not pushy about the optional extended warranties and I finished signing over 20 pages of different documents in a relatively short time. I was given copies of a few relevant documents, but in retrospect it would have been nice if he had offered copies of all of the papers I signed. After that, I spent time with the salesperson, learning about the most important technical features of the new car. I could have spent more time with him, but after four hours at Ferman, I was ready to hit the road. He made clear that I could call him with any questions that came up in the future. I purchased the car on a Sunday, and had to return (50 mile drive) a few days later for some optional parts that were ordered and to have the navigation installed. They filled my gas tank again, a nice gesture. Like all car purchases, you need do your research before going to the dealer. I found the staff at Ferman Mazda in Brandon to be helpful and friendly and would recommend them to a friend. read more

I came here for service and an oil change recently. I had to wait an hour past the estimated wait time they told me initially upon arrival. Then, only a month later, my oil light came back on. After going to a different Mazda dealership, I was told that the plug for my oil pan was not screwed in properly, and my car leaked all of the oil due to their negligent service. I would rather drive 45 minutes to a different Mazda dealership than to ever go back here. read more

I traded in a lease from a 2016 CX-5 and they agreed to pay the overage on my miles and the cost of the tires so long as we agreed on the price of the new car. We came to an agreement, or so I though and I left very happy with my new car. Three weeks later I began to receive bills from the 2016 lease, Ferman Mazda had not paid a dime! The sales Girl agreed that I was correct about the agreement but her manager did not. It took several emails, phone calls and even a call from our lawyer for them to finally pay the cost of the miles. They paid in September and I bought the vehicle in May and still refuse to pay the cost of the tires, which I will pay on my own. I'm upset about the way it was handled more so than the money. I wouldve been a customer for life but due to this I will not be purchasing my next vehicle here or making any recommendations. I'm happy with the car, no complaints there. read more

Had a great experience here a few days ago. I've been in the market for an compact suv for my wife and after months of research we decided on the 2016 cx-5! I worked with jose and he helped me with everything and wasn't pushy at all during negotiations which I loved. At the end I felt I like I got a great deal from jose and Braxton. Since the car was a surprise for my wife's birthday Jose actually drove it to my house with me and put a bow on it. Wife almost cried when she opened the garage. Just a great experience overall, never felt uncomfortable at all which is great in a dealership. As for the cx5, what a great car for the value, we got the blue grand touring, even though it's a little bit more for the grand touring with tech package it is totally worth it. I test drove the Honda CR-V, looked at the new hr-v, drove lexus nx, audi q5 BMW X3, rav 4 and it came down to this car at the end with the safety features and what you get for the price. All I have to say is happy wife happy life, I'll be out of the dog house for a while for sure. read more

This is the first review I have ever written as I have never truly felt the need to alert people of my personal experience. To better understand, I am a recent college graduate and this is very easily the largest purchase of my life thus far. I recently bought my very first car from Ferman Mazda, it was a certified pre-owned Mazda 6. I was extremely excited to purchase a new car but unfortunately that excitement turned to frustration and blatant dissatisfaction. My experience with Ferman Mazda was very poor. The salesperson and managers I worked with truly only cared about getting a sale out of me, after that they were very dismissive. Over the span of 2 months I had to bring my car back to Ferman Mazda a total of 4 times so that they would finish work that the salesperson and floor manager had personally guaranteed me would be taken care of. This included fixing the side view sensors, car detailing, fixing scratches and giving me the correct second set of keys. This all should have been taken care of the first time around. Since Ferman Mazda is 50 minutes from where I live this meant numerous hours were wasted driving back and forth. In the end I did manage to get in contact with one person who truly cared about my experience and keeping their word, that was the service manager. He made things right and took care of all the outstanding issues. Simply put if I could go back in time, I would take my business elsewhere. Somewhere that values customer experience and treats them like human beings instead of just a sale. Do yourselves a favor and seek out a dealership that will treat you right. In my experience Ferman Mazda is not the place for that. read more
