The staff at LaPosada are exceptional! Kind, Welcoming, Helpful and knowledgeable. The services, activities, meals and quality of living is tremendous. My mother absolutely loves her apartment and she loves living there! She has made friends quickly and always has a friend (or new friend) to have dinner with each night. And we have joined her for dinner several times and the food is upscale and delicious! We especially like the cocktail hour each night in their bar area. I love that there are two restaurants to choose from and there are new specials every night. There are also plenty of fun, interesting shows, activities and exercise classes for her to participate in. She enjoys regular transportation to Publix, the mall, or a doctors appointment. In addition, the grounds and community center are so beautiful and peaceful. A special shout out to many of the wonderful staff members: First our initial contact Lonnie Ehmann who shared her time and talent and layed the foundation for our initial visits. Fabulous Kim Mancini, Yolanda, and Vivianna all made my mom's transition seamless and comfortable. Stephanie, Jennifer and all the wait staff at the Waterfront dining are so gracious and outstanding! The list goes on and on - I really can't say enough about all the staff at La Posada!! There is incredible comfort and peace-of-mind knowing that she is well cared for and that there are systems in place to check on her well being. Everybody was always talking about their weekend... Getting answers was next to impossible. It was like a skeleton crew all the time I know it's not a country club, but you would at least expect a little more communication than what we received just disappointed so when she needed to go back, we went somewhere else.

When I went to leave I realised my new back brace for my broken back I got at the hospital and and other disability supplies were gone from my closet. I asked the nurses and everyone. No one could help me of even seemed to care or look for them, so I had to leave the facilities with out the back brace and suppies I was given in the hospital. The level of indifference was tremendous.

While a good majority of residents still abide by the Catholic No-Meat-Fridays, the facility sometimes only serves meat dishes on Friday - stating "We can make you a Grilled Cheese if you want". The priest hired to say mass can care less about the mass - many times he skips parts of the mass in order to get out of "work" sooner. Given the high price paid for a Catholic Senior Living Facility, their performance is AT BEST is one star, if even that.

The entire community looked new, elegant, and exceptionally well-maintained. Every staff member either greeted us warmly or worked quietly and efficiently in the background. Around every corner, there seemed to be another impressive amenity. The residents were also extremely friendly. During lunch, we watched a group of four finish their meal, and one resident moved over to join another table of three simply to continue enjoying the fellowship. That small moment said a great deal about the warmth and sense of community. The location is excellent, surrounded by small retail shops, veterinarians, dry cleaners, pizza restaurants, and many other convenient businesses. The community also offers underground parking, a secure bicycle-storage area, and valet parking. This is an amazing place and absolutely worthy of a tour.

Instead, after being threatened and attacked by my roommate, I was kicked out for defending myself. Rather than protecting a disabled client who has undergone brain surgery, they treated me like I was the problem.Recovery is already hard enough when you're battling addiction, trauma & serious medical issues. Being thrown out during one of the most vulnerable times in my life felt heartless and dangerous. I wasn't looking for trouble. I was trying to survive and protect myself after my life was threatened.This experience made me feel completely abandoned by people who claim to care about helping addicts recover. A treatment center should know the difference between violence and self-defense, especially when dealing with someone struggling to rebuild their life while living with disabilities and chronic health issues. I would never recommend this place to anyone seeking real help, compassion, or protection during recovery. The only thing they care about is the money and because my insurance was up in three weeks they had no use for me anymore. This place is absolutely disgusting.

This being said, I've been able to address the core areas of my life that is so important to long-term sobriety. Trust in the care provided is major. So just after my first week I was aware that I was in the right place. From case Management's thoroughness and encouragement. As well as Medical and mental health, which is addressed and accommodated in a timely, consistent manor. Also in those first weeks meeting with my therapist I was able to recognize the professional and true care that I could work through the roots of my addiction. Trusting the team you choosing is why this works so well. This program has been thorough and truly passionate in all aspects of recovery. They truly care in a way that shows. So with all this being taken care of, I was able to secure a new job, they provide transportation to around my schedule. Working a program that they provide transportation to and from. Housing has been very accommodating. I have found that I have everything thing I need to finally change. If your reading this trying to decide where to go to get the best help look no further.
