Long sigh... I really wanted to like this place. I've been searching for a new pizza spot in the area and this restaurant had a lot of great reviews. Yes, there were some bad ones too, but enough five-star ratings that I figured it was worth a try. Unfortunately, after the first bite, I couldn't even finish a slice. The pizza had an odd flavor that I couldn't quite place, and it didn't taste like quality ingredients. I don't enjoy leaving negative reviews, and that's not my goal here, but I was genuinely disappointed. We ended up throwing the pizza away and ordering something else. I'd say order with caution unless you already know and love this place. Btw-the pizza doesn't look bad. See my picture. Idk.‍ the people working in the restaurant were friendly and the restaurant was clean and located within a strip mall.

Great spot to grab pizza. Service was great! The restaurant was clean and had plenty of seating. They offer alcoholic drinks and soft drinks. We ordered a medium pepperoni and mushroom pizza with the garlic stuffed cheese crust. The was very yummy . We also order the garlic wings also hit the spot. Parking was easy and service was fast.

Nice people run this store, However, tossed the pizza after one piece and I have never tossed a pizza in my life. Low quality that I could taste immediately. Service was great and the price was affordable. It is in a small strip mall and it is very clean. I really want to like the pizza as the folks running it are so nice. The cheese used was fine but the crust had a frozen pizza quality.

If you're sick of chain pizza places, you gotta try Fernando's! Been a loyal customer since their last location and then they closed but luckily they opened again after the pandemic. Very fresh ingredients and great flavor! They are always so friendly! The restaurant is nice and clean. I will definitely always recommend Fernando's!

I was super happy to find out fernandos was finally back open at their new location! The owner actually remembered my husband and I when she saw us walk through the door. The food is amazing like always! Well worth the drive since we moved to city heights. Anytime we have a pizza craving this is our go to spot! read more

an hour agoNEW In my opinion this is not just the best pizza in the valley but the best pizza in San Diego! The pizza crust and fresh toppings are delicious, the sauce is seasoned very well and the butter parmesan wings are a must try, I like that they also have a variety, spaghetti, sandwiches and salads is definitely a plus! I was looking for a new pizza spot in the area and decided to give it a try. I got the 2 large pizza special with a 2 liter soda. Unfortunately they do not have ginger ale. I don't drink soda but it was for my guests. I am currently recooking the pizza. There was No under carriage and it was flop city. I wish this was my new pizza spot but will take the drive to either basic or urbn. read more

First time I stopped there to buy a pizza. I ordered by phone and picked it up. The young man manning the phone orders was very polite and was not annoyed when I changed my mind a few times. When I picked up my order, everything was ready to go. He helped me Cary everything to the car. The pizza was so delicious! It was well cooked like I like it. Called to order a very large order to EastLake. They said they would only come if I paid the toll road. I said I'll tip them 30% (which was about a $40 tip on my order) but they refused to pay the $2 toll road. I felt like they don't care about their customers. Person who answered phone was very rude and never had an interest in working out a solution. read more

My son has loved Fernandos Pizza since he was 5 years old. It's his favorite pizza still to this day and he is now 18 years old. Great family owned business and pizza is always so good and reasonably priced. Highly recommend! Plus they are all so nice there as well!! read more

When I walked in I didn't know that this was the same pizza place that was at a old strip mall off Sweetwater Road. But anyway, I told them that I was a pizza lover and I wanted to try theirs and I wasn't disappointed. Crisp crust with chose of crust flavoring. Great chesses and toppings but I only tried Pepperoni and sausage but next time I will try the deluxe. And the place clean and very friendly love the common fellowship Praise The Lord! read more

She took care of all our needs for our large order charity event in Spring Valley, and delivered great pizza and first class customer service. Without a doubt the best pizza in the area. The staff and shop provide a welcoming ambiance. Even while you're waiting they provide amenities to keep you entertained such as the padres game, ufc fights or music. Overall a great experience and would recommend to anyone in San Diego. read more

Stopped by to grab something to eat and ordered the spaghetti because I had cold pizza at home. Also ordered chicken strips because I was starving and couldn't wait to get home to eat the spaghetti. Strips were real chicken breast not pieced together chicken parts. Delicious and not fried in grease (at least didn't taste like they were fried in grease.) When I got home was too full from scarfing down the chicken strips but had to taste the spaghetti while still hot and it too was delicious. Glad I stopped by. Next time will try the pizza. read more

We found Fernando's years ago in their original location off of Sweetwater Springs Boulevard. We used to order their pizza almost every other week! And then when they had to close, we were so heartbroken! By chance, we saw that they were reopening on Paraiso Avenue. Since they reopened, we have become a regular customer again and the owner remembered us! We no longer buy greasy pizza from chain restaurants. Why would we, when we can get quality pizza from Fernando's! They are generous with their toppings, their smiles and their customer service is always, always friendly in person and on the phone! We are happy to support this local family business! read more

FERNANDOS is BACK!!!! My family and I grew up eating Fernando's pizza and we have missed it in its absence! Its just as good as it always was-- It's seriously the best pizza, fast, easy, and friendly staff (who feel like family), and great price point.
