My first time stopping into this new place that is located between the Subway and hardware store. I love supporting local businesses and wanted to see how it's going just 2 weeks in. I ordered the beef brisket sandwich (which I did not get a pic!) that was a large brioche bun with a generous helping of cuts of brisket that literally melted in my mouth- very tender. It also featured a large onion ring on top of the meat. The beef was seasoned well on the outside and very flaky and soft and juicy on the inside. Served with a side of BBQ sauce and picked onions and peppers. If you like bbq, you won't be disappointed. Had a nice chat with one of the owners and she explained that they used to run a food truck out on Four Corners and have a loyal group of customers so when this space became available, they jumped on the chance to move to a more central location and to have a nice sit down area. The space includes the former chandelier restaurant which would be great for large parties and events. So if you are considering having a gathering, this might be a great option for you. I hope to check it out again soon.

Huge fan of Lyons Peak BBQ & Pizza now open at 13881 Campo Road in Jamul. I stopped in planning to grab a pizza and ended up leaving with an extra pizza, ribs, and brisket. Everything was cooked perfectly -- especially the ribs, which were juicy and literally fell off the bone. Friendly service, incredible flavors, and definitely my new go-to. Highly recommended definitely stop by!

We tried them for the first time tonight and were very happy. They are very generous on the meat portions (huge)! I had the brisket sandwich with onion rings. I found it to be one of the most flavorful and tender briskets I have ever had. Good flavor and I could cut it with my fork! I really liked the onion rings! Just the right amount of batter (and comes with ranch). My husband had the half rack of ribs (pork). I tried one and found a bit of heat and smoke in the rub and tamed with a bit of sweet bbq sauce. Really great! Good service, nice and friendly folks (owner-operated)/ staff. Given the large portions, the prices are reasonable! I'm looking forward to trying their pizza and breakfast. Also, they took over the old Chandelier space so it's pretty big (and I think remodeled) and you can sit outside too. Since the owners are locals, they know what this town needs and likes!

Order the Lyons Peak pizza. It's a tasty combination of bbq, pineapple, jalapeños and secret sauce. The bbq is good too.

The crust was so horrible that I actually scraped the toppings off and ate them separately. My husband got a meatball side to add and going in I was happy he didn't have to have an entirely disappointing experience: enter reality. His statement was that it was a ball of meat but it seems like they forgot to add the flavor packet that actually makes them good. Salad was our last bastion of hope. I've not been so offended by olives in my entire life. Watered down house Italian dressing plus old, papery peppers rounded out the waste of money experience. I guess the upside is that it was bad enough that we didn't eat enough to make it a waste of calories. We eat at the Escondido location as well when we're up there with family and they're amazing. Sadly they keep fresh in our minds what is possible and this location doesn't even try. Not worth the price or wait. I'm sorry they've deprioritized the palatability of food and now I have to deal with La Mesa Surfrider parking in the summer to grab takeout pizza.

They are only open Monday-Friday between 4pm-11pm which is extremely limited considering the gambling environment that keep people up so consider yourself "lucky" when they are open since getting a pizza or Italian food will not be an option on the weekends when the casino is the busiest. When they are open, they offer Shawarma Plates for $16.99 with your choice of beef, chicken, or Falafel served with Arabic Salad, Hummus, Garlic Turmeric Rice, Lavash & Soda. Among the classic pizza pies they offer, they also serve Fresh baked pasta, salads, sandwiches and gelato. If you are a senior, which Jamul casino deems you one at 50years old, you can qualify for their Monday night senior meals where if you use a player card and play earning 30 points and are 50yrs and above, you can get a "free" senior meal here which consists of either your choice of Focaccia Flats or Stuffed Shells which both come with a side salad and soda. This "Ptime Time" Monday Special also comes with $10 free play after playing 30 points worth on the slots machines or table games using your player's card. I enjoyed the stuffed shells with Alfredo Sauce this Monday evening after playing craps. It was delusions and prepared quickly. You order at the counter or on the side tablets at the entrance of the marketplace then you'll receive an order number on your receipt. There are two monitors on the wall next to Burgers @ Shakes that will display your number either on the preparing side or "Ready" side at which point you pick up your order on the other side of the Pizzeria counter. The staff members are friendly and helpful. The service is quick and efficient. The food is served piping hot and delicious. The Marketplace Dining Hall is kept clean with ample tables and chairs to choose from to enjoy your meal. I just wish this place is open and available late in the evenings when you're looking for late nite pizza considering this is at the casino. It's a great food option when it IS open but it's very limited in their availability for a 24/7 always open environment.

I would like to give Dolci Cafe Italiano a huge shout out and a stellar review!…read more AMAZING FOOD, SERVICE, AMBIANCE AND ATTENTIVENESS! We have found ourselves very irritable at lunchtime in our office because we have been ordering the same old lunches for years...one of us for 24 years! We sent one of the owners of the company I work for out on a mission to find new lunch spots. This is how we found Dolci! We ordered 6 different items to share so that we could try several items. Grande Lasagna Bolognese, Americana Pizza, Italian Fest Panini, Fettuccine Cartoccio, Dolci Chicken Mac & Cheese and Penne Michealangelo. Every single item was so delicious. The flavors were rich and the portions were generous! It gave the feeling of FINALLY being satisfied with lunch which we have not had in a very long time! We all agreed we needed a nap after lunch because we stuffed ourselves in the most gluttonous manner! The only problem is that we were so stuffed no one wanted to get back to work! We are very pleased with the quality of ingredients, the order being ready on time and even after driving 15-20 minutes back to the office the food was still hot! Thank you Dolci! We look forward to ordering again with you in the very near future!

Opening the door we were greeted with the old school charm of a restaurant that has been around for over 50 years. Our server was delightful and very fast. In fact the entire staff had a warm energetic family feel. And, happily we beat the rush giving us the ability to hear each other and take our time enjoying the meal. Dad and I started with the chicken tortellini soup which was a little too salty for us. Tortellini was slightly overcooked making it flowery and missing meat or cheese. Mom's house salad was ok. She did comment on being disappointed in the oil served with it. Our appetizer was shrimp scampi. This was good, full of flavor. Shrimp was slightly overcooked giving it a semi rubbery edge. On to the entrees. They were huge! I had lasagna. I think when you see it delivered in a sea of sauce you need to be a bit wary. The sauce was spicy, as it should be. Noodles were thick and prominent . Sadly that left little to no room for my favorite part - cheese and meat which were limited. Dad gave the manicotti a try which was ok. Mom had eggplant parmesan, one of her favs. Her sauce was a little bit tart. Eggplant was a nice moist and tender slice with just the right amount of cheese. She loved how the strands of spaghetti wrapped around her fork so she could dip it into the sauce without a spoon. Yup, she really liked the Pasta. Overall she felt it was a nice Italian meal. Very popular spot as it filled up before 6pm and a party of 30 was expected! You can see it's a neighborhood
