We love the food. The service. The simple menu which every dish is spectacular! The wine list is extensive. Please ask to meet Fernando who coons your dishes. My favorite the corvina.

Highly recommend the Corvina "Signature Fish", white filet Ecuadorian fish dipped in egg wash finished in a lemon butter and wine sauce.

Date Night at Fernando's! Using our #AllInForSLTX gift card! Highly recommend the Corvina "Signature Fish", white filet Ecuadorian fish dipped in egg wash finished in a lemon butter and wine sauce. Sooo yummy! I order this dish every time I visit!

    Beef Empanadas

The food was excellent, for appetizers we had the empanadas, for dinner, I had the Lamb chops and my husband had the Sirloin and Corvina. Lamb was cooked to perfection also the Sirloin. We had a great service , it was the day after Valentine and there were only 5 tables. The restaurant is beautiful and they used to have live music on Saturday, but not since COVID . We had the Tres Leches but that's the only disappointment of the night, it was dry.

She made the whole experience so enjoyable. The manager (Sophie?) was also very welcoming. We were also impressed with the woman with the long braid and shirt that said GURU. I walk in with a group of 5, ask for a gluten free menu, and the hostess happily got the menu and brought it with us to the table. Our server brought me GF soy sauce and told me he would make sure my food was safe even though it was on the GF menu. I got the calamari and Sugar Land sampler, and it was all great. The fish was fresh, the restaurant didn't have a concerning fishy smell, it was clean and nicely decorated with plenty of space for patrons so we weren't on top of each other. One of my guests ordered the wrong roll, and he was very patient and kind, and he talked through the different rolls to make sure the one she wanted was exactly what she was looking for. He made suggestions and took his time, and he treated her with respect and care. I was truly impressed! One could say that GF options are minimal, but for me, this menu had a little bit of everything for gluten allergies, and my server made me feel very safe eating there with my allergy. I will enthusiastically go back to Japaneiro any day, especially with this level of service!

There are Salvadoran spots all over the city, but I'm semi-convinced that one of the best is right here in Stafford. It doesn't look like much from the outside, but upon entering the doors, one will find a spacious restaurant with a TV or two with plenty of seating. The service is prompt and kind. There is no pretension here, which is my favorite kind of vibe. Aside from the desayuno (breakfast) special, which comes with a tamal, plantains, chorizo, eggs, with cream and queso at $14, there is nothing on the breakfast menu that exceeds $10. I'm sure prices were friendlier before, but this place really does an excellent job in stretching the value for most food. The main dishes (plato fuertes) are all around $13, unless one wants the parrillada (meat platter) for two, which comes at a cool $30. After ordering a handful of different pupusas, a couple of tamales, and a couple of drinks, my bill was $14 flat. The pupusas themselves are excellent. They're wonderfully grilled with just the right amount of char and filling. The runaway winners are the mixtas, which are filled with beans and pork and are excellent with the accompanying slaw and spicy vinegar. While the corn tamale was a bit too dry for my taste, the addition of crema was huge. I thought the chicken tamal was significantly better, and was texturally an excellent antojito (#2). I would highly recommend folks give their pastelitos a shot, as well as tostadas and baleadas during breakfast. Pro tip: come for their happy hour, which is on Sundays between 4 PM and 7 PM where pupusas are $1.80 each. There is a max of 15 per person. ____________ (#1) The OG: https://www.yelp.com/biz/lazo-1-pupuseria-y-restaurante-houston (#2) A snack.

I picked up a customer of mine and he said let's go to a small South American place just down the street. From the outside, didn't look like much. The lunch menu came with a choice of either soup or salad, which I got the lentil soup. The soup was thick and hearty. It was very good. My steak was cooked perfectly and well-seasoned. I received warm and excellent service throughout my lunch. The restaurant is big and suitable for all party sizes. There is plenty of free parking in front of the restaurant, so that is a plus point.

Very Disappointing -- Our 3rd Bad Experience and Our Last…read more We decided to give Perry's one last chance because we had a gift card and the Houston restaurant week menu looked good. I made a 6:30 p.m. reservation for 8 people to celebrate my mother's 75th birthday and my son's girlfriend's 18th birthday. Unfortunately, this was another extremely disappointing experience. The restaurant was fairly full for a Monday night, but it was obvious they were completely unprepared to handle the volume. We did not receive our salads or soups until 1 hour and 20 minutes later. By 8:30, we STILL had not received our entrees. I had to extend my parking session because we were still waiting for our food. I ultimately had to extend it two additional times because the meal, packing our leftovers, and getting dessert took so long. By the time we were ready to leave, we had been there more than 3 1/2 hours. We had planned to enjoy dessert, but at that point we simply asked for it to be packaged to go. Our waiter was doing his best, but he appeared to have to do everything himself. There was no one helping him keep drinks filled, clear the table, or pack our food. At a restaurant that presents itself as high-end and charges accordingly, this level of service and staffing is unacceptable. The manager finally came to our table at the very end of the meal. I had to point out that he should have checked on us much earlier. We were a party of eight celebrating two important birthdays, and our meal had been severely delayed. Management should have recognized the problem and addressed it long before the end of our 3 1/2-hour experience. And this wasn't an isolated incident. This was our third visit to Perry's with poor service. Three strikes is enough. We gave Perry's another chance because we had a gift card and hoped things would be different. They weren't. The food was okay, but there are numerous restaurants just a short drive from Sugar Land that offer much better food and service. For a special occasion, the experience matters just as much as the food. Perry's has had three opportunities to earn our business. They have lost it. We will not be returning.
