This hidden gym is truly delicious! My husband and I had an impromptu date day and was originally craving Italian food, i thought hmmm this may work, it's been bookmarked on my yelp list for a while. Well I'm glad we came! We had a mini feast lol. Not featured here my husband had the lobster bisque and I had a ceaser salad. Our favorite was the fried quail, while everything else was good. I do believe the risotto could use a little work, there is just not enough flavor there but it's a beautifully plated dish! I cant remember our servers name but he was excellent, very attentive but not too much. We never had to look for him! We have been talking about this place ever since we went! The Chicken Fried Chicken is very tasty and the mashed potatoes are creamy. Wish the potatoes portion was a little more.

An elderly friend of mine goes here weekly and was excited to bring me for lunch. The atmosphere was exquisite with white table cloths, dimmable table lights, and soft music. There was a tv with football on and no sound which seemed a little off for this kind of restaurant but not too distracting. The food although not substantial in size came with a beautiful presentation and was very good. My only concern was with the waiter and his respect toward his customers. He rushed through taking orders and when confronted with a minor issue about a soft plantain instead of being crisp, he responded with "it is just garnish. Next time you won't get any". I couldn't believe he spoke to her like that, and would hate to have to talk to him in case of a real issue. For this high of a price range, I expect much more. read more

This place was the best food I've had. We came in a little bit before they had closed and they were super kind and quick. The salad was SO delicious and I ate it so fast. Our food was so good and we were honestly in love. The place was very cute and more fancy I think but we were definitely in casual outfits. Unexpected find in our area for Easter brunch and the food was great! My family of 5 all really enjoyed our meals. They have an extensive menu and from the oldest to the youngest everyone enjoyed and commented on the food after the fact. We will certainly be back to try more dishes. read more

Ray was our server who is evidently brand new, but he was just the right level of attentive! This was our first visit but we will be back. The restaurant was small but tables were nicely spaced so you don't feel on top of others and the tables were a little larger I felt. Atmosphere was nice! I would imagine if it was full it would be noisy but we arrived a little after 5 and there were maybe 5 tables and a few at the bar. My husband got the lobster bisque and really enjoyed it. I had the chicken piccata and it was amazing! The flavor of the chicken and sauce was very bright and tasty. My husband got the pasta Alex which has crab and sausage, he said it was very good and filling. We both had leftovers! We also enjoyed the complimentary bread and oil. Overall a great experience, nice find without the drive. Prices are also very reasonable. read more

Super friendly staff and bartender. Food was excellent. The fried green tomato was the only dish I wasn't really a fan of. The sauce was great but I wished they slice the tomatoes thinner and then fry it, the only place I've had good fried green tomatoes was rouxpour, and they don't serve it anymore . The other dishes we ordered were amazing. We had the seafood pasta, the snapper, Brussels sprouts, and the waygu burger, the carrot cake and chocolate cake. read more

Sea bass was so good... it was cooked perfectly. It had a crust on outside that was so good & the inside was just buttery like a well cooked sea bass should be. It was lightly seasoned so if you only ate the sea bass by itself you could say it wasn't seasoned enough. However, with the fish sitting on top of grilled vegetables (instead of risotto per the menu) and root veggies, plus the sauce, the flavors complement each other so well. Also it was a nice portion size. I ate every morsel & I was full. Full bar & decent wine list by glass & by bottle. Wine bottles are poured into a nice glass carafe & placed on the table. Server was attentive. Casual decor inside, yet had table cloths. Lots of art pics on the walls. This is a great neighborhood dining spot. read more

Really very, very good and highly recommend. This is a cute little place located at the end of a strip center. They have adorable chandeliers, a small bar area and a few televisions. I ordered the Hangar Steak, with fries and roasted brussel sprouts (which were fabulous and the only ones I have found that I loved...thus far). The steak was perfectly cooked, medium rare and was delicious! Oh, and the bread and olive oil were also super on point! Drinks were good and service impeccable. I absolutely love Alex's Kitchen. Discovered this spot a couple years back. I'd describe it as "casual fine dining" within the neighborhood in Missouri City. From the exterior, it is very unassuming. Once you enter, it's like a nice cozy sit-down restaurant that is not too formal, but not too casual. I'd say this would be a great date spot, while also being family friendly. Service is always the best, attentive, courteous and accommodating. We just mentioned that our kids would share the ravioli and they just brought it out on two separate plates. That was a very nice touch. My favorite go-to is the Pasta Alex and my bride loves the Cioppino, which is a seafood stew. The kiddos love the Braised Beef Short Rib Ravioli. Parking is ample and convenient. The only issue is it's a quaint place and not too large, so it gets quite busy during prime time. We tend to go earlier with the kids in tow anyway, so we've never had to wait. I cannot recommend Alex's enough. Support local, support the neighborhood, support good food. read more

I came here for a easy Saturday lunch and i realty like this place. Thy do have plenty nice selection of food in their menu. The service was very good. Our nice server told us it could get really busy at night time. So if you don't like big crowds, lunch is a better idea. I had ordered fried calamari, clam chowder which I love it. This is a charming and quaint local restaurant tucked away on the corner of our neighborhood strip center. The staff has always been attentive, cheerful and love that they remember us when we call in orders and when we visit in person. My parents live out of town, took them here for dinner one time a couple years ago. What I remember from my most recent experience on May 1st, was that the Salmon w/ risotto and broccoli over $30. For that, I got a small portion of salmon and risotto and two tiny broccoli florets that were about 2 inches long. The broccoli was cold and I had to wait for my server to come, to send it back. You have to deliver a hot meal when you're charging those prices. Quite frankly, I didn't fancy the taste of any part of my meal. More frustrating was trying to communicate with my server. Came here after church to eat before they closed at 3pm on Sunday before the dinner rush at 5pm. I will say I was really impressed with my salmon salad. The salmon was cooked perfectly like I want it. My husband tried the chicken and waffles since they were still serving brunch. Some brunch specials for drinks were still going on so I tried the peach Bellini. It was yummy! The ambiance was very nice and we felt right at home. Even though the kids menu wasn't in the book. They did offer a kids menu and my son had the butter pasta and cleared the whole plate. Parking had ample space so you didn't have to worry about that. I stopped in as this little bistro was close to where I was working this week. The room is lovely with beautiful paintings throughout,, and a full bar. I was seated immediately and offered a drink. The servers were unobtrusive, yet attentive. I had the chicken piccata and it was delightful. It was not smothered in capers like other places. Nice cosy restaurant, great for families, and big or small groups. Server was attentive and friendly. I ordered the fried calamari, and garlic bread for appetizers. Chicken Alfredo, and grilled shrimp risotto for entrées. To end off the meal, I had the warm fruit tart with vanilla ice cream. The fried calamari had fried lemon, and fried green beans in the basket too. I like the combi as it would be boring to just have the calamari in it only. However the marinara sauce was a little watery. The garlic bread was really good. Garlicky, buttery, and herby. The Chicken Alfredo was good. Good proportion of chicken pieces to pasta. Chicken was cooked well. The grilled shrimp risotto was great. The shrimps were huge, fresh, and cooked perfectly. The vegetables in the dish were fresh. Risotto was perfect too. Absolutely love the dish but the plantain chips could be left out. The dessert wasn't what I expected. The warm fruit tart was actually fruit(s) jam in a crust. The crust was really good. I visited here for dinner after hearing great things about the restaurant. It was busy too, even for a weekday, which usually means 1 of 2 things for a small restaurant, it's either the only restaurant in the area, or it's actually good. In this case, it's actually good. I had the hangar steak since I always love ordering it when I see it on a menu. Great steak and definitely a nice price point. I would say this place is good for taking family, friends and even clients. It wouldn't be my first choice for date night since it's kind of loud inside once the dining room starts filling up.
