Several years ago, my husband and I found a nice patio lounge with a canopy. It became our favorite…read moreoutdoor space! But after several years of sun exposure (we do have all weather covers for it, but UV damage still happens) it was time to get the cushions and canopy re-covered. A friend of mine that restores classic cars was showing off a project that he had re-upholstered, so I asked him for his guy's contact info. I called and spoke to Jose, the owner, who said yes he takes in my type of work. We wanted upgraded foam and slipcovers along with the re-covered cushions and pillows. I brought in a decorative canvas that I had previously purchased. I chose blue for the reupholstering and canopy, and told Jose to choose a good coordinate fabric for the slipcovers-if more yardage was needed. I just got the order back, and it is Bee-Yoo-Tee-Full!! The new extra dense foam is so comfortable (the original was about 3" thick and you could still feel the base of the chaise through it) and the decorative covers are so pretty! They will also protect the cushions from excess UV, and be easily cleaned. The fabric of the canopy is extra dense, and will provide good shade for sitting and reading or using a tablet. I cannot say enough good things about how happy I am with the work provided by Jose, at Pacific Upholstery! Do note that if you go the the shop, parking is tight. You can park in front of the buildings on either side of the access gate but don't park across the street. The tenants there politely let me know it was not appreciated.

Jose did a BEAUTIFUL JOB!! They are comfortable and the detail in his work is unparalleled!! I took extra business cards to give to my friends when they need work done. I will always return to Jose any time I need a professional upholstery job completed. Thanks Jose! Also, I plan to one day pass this dining set down to one of my children and I believe they will never have to reupholster it in their lifetime either because the job was so perfect!!

David and his staff are true professionals--knowledgeable, skilled, honest and fair. The craftsmanship is excellent and they actually finished the job earlier than estimated. The pricing is extremely reasonable. I initially tried a local patio store to order the cushions directly from Tropitone. The cost was egregious. Then, I tried a few on-line companies that make custom patio cushions. One never called me back after several left messages. My hesitation was not knowing what I was going to get or being stuck with a custom product that didn't work out. I chose Churik's because of its longstanding history of being a local family-owned business and because of their excellent reviews. Everyone was spot on! This is the place to go. Look no further.

Each seat cover cost $400 and labor is $200 per seat. I don't want to spend that much money since my 4 runner is 24 years old. Anyway, when the owner showed me what the seat covers look like, I was blown away. I went ahead and seal the deal. I chose the color I want and they filled the cushion. When mine was done, I was very pleased. It is worth every penny. I highly recommend this place

I found James on Craigslist. I told him I had two love seats that I was thinking of having…read morereupholstered. My only reservation was that people were telling me that it would be so expensive that I should just buy new. I told that to James and he said; "Once they are reupholstered, they are new. Only you know they fit the space, you know they are comfortable, and instead of having to be limited by fabric choices I could choose whatever I want and have custom chairs." He has fabric books to choose from. If you have an idea of what you are looking for, tell him in advance so he can narrow down what to show you. I ended up buying my own fabric in Los Angeles in the fabric district. If you do that, talk to James first about the pattern repeat and how much yardage you'll need. All that said, his work speaks for itself. It only took two weeks for the chairs to be completed! That was a delightful surprise in itself. If you look carefully at the chairs you'll see the design pattern not only lines up on each chair, but the chairs are across from one another and the pattern lines up across from each other. Incredible attention to detail. I bought extra fabric and asked if he could make me pillows. He did a great job with those as well. Pillows for less than it would cost me to buy at Bed, Bath and Beyond. And they're custom! I highly recommend James. I couldn't be more pleased.

But, after seeing the final product, we already knew that we had hired the right person. He not only gave us a fair estimate but was always quick to respond to my dozens of questions; and turned it around in less than 4 days. He really did a quality job and would 100 percent recommend him.
