Dirty carpet
Claudia R.

The outside didn't look bad... We first got there an the guy at the front desk was rude. We got to the room it was so dirty. Dirty carpet, dirty restroom, something that looks like poop smeared on the cover from the bed.. I would not recommend this place. Never going back. Oh and if your trying to sleep. The music from the strip is so loud.. it doesn't stop playing until 4 or 5 in the morning. No a/c. Tv didn't work. In order to turn off the light the ceiling fan would turn off.

Festival plaza is a reasonable place to stay in rosarito. You will find looking for a 5 star room just isn't going to happen in the location your at. The rooms are dated and musty. It's next to the clubs so be prepared for late night music. Parking is limited but available. Great location close to all the bars and clubs for safety. They have someone at the door at all times and give you a wristband. If your looking for a safe reasonable place it's probably the best location but you will pay more.

Tub on balcony

We had a great stay here for spring break 2019. Penthouse suite has a great view of the ocean and papas and beer. Huge spa tub in the room pretty much on the balcony. There's a microwave and fridge in the room and two closet spaces with hangers for clothes. Parking is free. Literally great price and room the low price it's right in the middle of all the action. Only draw back is no guests and no glass bottles. It would have been difficult getting the stripper we wanted up to the room. Only allowed if you have your wristband.

The smell alone in the casitas was so off putting. Pretty sure I shouldn't be breathing in this toxic smell.

It also had a cute little balcony.. The front desk is actually a little bit off the property across the street but they do have great security services making sure everything is running smooth while at the pool area or parking structure. The parking is gated and has security 24/7. The hotel is walking distance from basically everything. It's in the middle of the attraction area all the bars, restaurants, Beach restaurants you name it. Overall, I do recommend the spot if you ever looking for a spot in Rosarito, Baja California.

Checking in was a little confusing because they have two buildings and the office is across the street. I really liked how you car is very safe the parking lot is gated and there is security 24/7 keeping eye on you vehicles. To get in the parking to get to the hotel building you much have a wrist band that was provided by the front desk when you were checking in. The beach is literally right in front of the hotel so convenient and all the bars are down the street less than 5 minute walk. Walking in I did not know what I was expecting but to my surprise it was like an apartment!! I was so shocked and amazed and with an ocean view!! I was so excited not just to be in Mexico but to have such an amazing room right next to the beach!!! The room came with two bathrooms which was nice kind of like a his and hers bathroom. I really enjoyed my time here and so overwhelmed with excitement of how well everything came together. Not to mention the staff was very helpful and nice!! I would definitely will be coming back to this hotel!

I opened the closet and it smelled bad, the towels were dirty, the bar soap was left used. I just didn't even want to use anything and figured we will just look past it but then later on. We figured out the door didn't even lock! It would lock but then you could jiggle it and it would open! We went to front desk and they sent maintenance to fix it 3 times and they claimed it was fixed and never was. We took all of our stuff and put it in our car while we enjoyed the wedding and then again we went to the room to check and again didn't even need a key to get in. We went to front desk to ask for a refund and they said they thought it was fixed which is what maintenance said and nope it wasn't i told him and again they tried and the security guard said well we have cameras, security guards and no one knows the door doesn't lock. Thats horrible! We paid over $220 to stay 1 night for that! For my family to feel unsafe and me to not sleep well. They refuse to refund our money and we decided not to spend the night and drove back home! Please don't stay here!

This place stinks the plumbing is bad the mold all over the walls, the beds are broken down the walls are wholly pachy. The only thing that this hotel has going for itself is the view and the restaurant other than that man it's sad how they allow their property to get run down. And the staff is on another level of unwelcoming, unwelcoming, on accommodating, in, very rude. The cleaning staff doesn't do a good job at all. Terrible terrible terrible

During my stay at Hotel Paraiso, I experienced multiple issues related to billing, room conditions,…read morecleanliness, safety, and staff conduct, as detailed below: 1. Double Charging: I was charged twice for my room reservation. 2. Additional Cash Payment: Upon arrival, a hotel staff member demanded an additional cash payment directly to her in order to provide the room key. As I had no immediate alternative, I paid the requested amount. 3. Breakfast Issue: My booking included breakfast, which was prepaid; however, I was informed that breakfast was not included. 4. Incorrect Room Type: I booked a room with one queen-size bed but was given a room with two very small beds instead. In addition to the above, the condition of the room was unacceptable and raised serious hygiene and safety concerns: * The bed sheets were extremely dirty, and one sheet appeared to have a hot-burn mark. * The towels were very dirty and appeared unhygienic. * The walls were visibly dirty and poorly maintained. * There was hair falling and scattered throughout the room. * The room had a very strong and unpleasant odor. * The bathroom was extremely dirty, and there was an exposed manhole/metal opening that appeared dangerous and posed a safety risk. * There was no hot water available in the shower. * The heater unit frequently switched off and could not be properly operated. There was no remote control provided, and staff refused to give me one when requested. When I raised these concerns with the hotel staff, I was advised to contact the hotel owner rather than receiving assistance. I found this response highly unprofessional. These conditions do not meet the standards advertised on your platform and, in my opinion, represent serious health and safety violations.

Well let me start by stating the pluses, because they do exist too, just the negative is being…read morehonest and fair. Pros: Proximity to beach, you can walk from your room to it. Cheap price-depends on your expectations, if your particular (aka Anal) then your view is it was overpriced Parking, unless there's a big event going on, good luck and/or your lose your spot in front of door. It has common motel amenities (hopefully, I read old reviews stating they didn't have a mini fridge or working stove top, etc. It's kinda cute cabana style, ours was the lower priced, no frills, not pictured on their website, some parts dated, some parts w/minor imperfections, some cool modern Mexican artsy, cold be romantic for the newly in love, little cozy, but for a person who doesn't aim high in lodging. Did I miss anything? Pet friendly (yay, but your pets should be up to date w/immunizations-to go back home/border) and people should leash, but they don't ;( For it being winter & a rainy cold day/night, hot water in our room did work, but not really hot, not cold, balanced unless you like hotter? Your out of luck. You could probably pile people in your room, might need air mattress as the floors are concrete. Your next to a Italian restaurant, Casino & bar club, and close to, if not on strip. (short drive/ride - bike or horse back) Our room had plenty of storage for two people. Of course it's very thrifty diy kinda style. And we had a small ironing board/iron. Staff was polite & accommodating, when you go to them. THE CONS: Upper case emphasis, because they are important details. No AC/Heating, being winter & a rainstorm weekend, we would have froze our asses off if we hadn't bought a cheaply made heater (but not cheap in price) from Walmart, thick plushy mink (Korean, ironically?!) blankets from Puerto Nuevo that were overpriced for out there because it was nighttime & shops in Tijuana were closed. Had it not been for those two items, would have had to drink ourselves to sleep. (For those middle aged & past that party stage) remember floors are concrete too :/ Small note: someone on website review stated they did ask for a heater & told they were all being used, that would have been the case since it was already raining when we got there. Summer can imagine it's hot & humid-bring a large floor van. Leaks due to rainstorm found randomly in kitchen & bathroom floors. No room service during your stay. One roll of TP, so you'll have to ask for another Only two towels, so you should ask for more like one for the floor (no mat) Our bathroom was tiny. No carpet Not sure if stove work, we didn't use & from what I read from the website reviews, u needed to ask for the propane Leaky iron Pictures on their link don't include the cheaper rooms, & from what I read, the more expensive luxury rooms didn't look at all like what's on their website as well Luckily it was winter & rainy so no loud noises from either walls of room, but keep in mind it can be noisy since it's a party beach town atmosphere. And that your next door to a bar club casino-God knows what kinds of noises, bring good noise canceling headphones Also, you'll never know what to expect by whose staying next to you, but the witless youngsters next to us came outside the morning we were leaving, plopped themselves on planter median that was facing our window we opened/tied curtains, drinking coffee staring at us as we're packing....WTF & who the f&@ does that? Oh wait ignorant rude people. All rooms there have their private enclosed patio/porch & why the hell didn't they sit in front of their room??? Yes children, there are a lot of unschooled people that lack respect & etiquette. Found a bug in the restroom, that's expected. Although kitchen window was frosted, there was a portion that was clear, the curtains although blackouts, were too small for windows, that anyone can see right through your room. I had a binder of docs w/me I used, plus instructions for portable heater to block it. What that purpose of window was, I'll never know except for perves & people to peep in. Those remarks above say it all for me. It wasn't that bad, this can be revamped into a better motel. It's got potential! Would I recommend this place? Of course! But only w/few critical comments from what I mentioned.

Apparently, if you book through third-party sites or get a discount, you end up with a room that doesn't include A/C. If you book directly with the hotel, then you can get air conditioning--but this is never mentioned anywhere on their website. The room was uncomfortably hot, and the only solution they offered me was a fan.
