On my way to Nashville Tn., my family and I decided to stop in at this restaurant for breakfast, as you walk into Fiddler you're transported back to a place where customer service and politeness is shown just for coming in. My family wanted to try something other than all the franchise restaurants around. It was like the tv show Cheers , everyone knew each other's name. It was very down home with fiddle music playing constantly and an eclectic atmosphere and decor. They have a buffet which was decent enough, the grits could have been cooked another 10 minutes, and some of the bacon and sausage patties were overcooked. However are server Donna was a sweetheart, she made sure we were definitely taken care of. This is definitely where the locals come and they all greeted us as if we were long lost relatives.

After hurricane Helene closed parts of I-40, we adjusted our route to and from South Carolina and we discovered Fiddler's on the way. It was conveniently located for us to stop for lunch on a Sunday. The parking lot was full, but we were seated quite promptly. The menu has multiple options, but we opted for the buffet which includes cold, hot, and breakfast items. The restaurant also has live music several times a month, and features different performers on the tables.

Salad, chicken, mashed potatoes, broccoli & Cheez-It casserole, potatoes, roll, bacon, eggs, biscuit, and gravy, fried catfish and grits.

Food was good. Servers were nice. We had some brunch and were pleasantly surprised. The water tasted a little dirty, but the other drinks were fine. The barbecue sauce was good and the honey mustard was yummy too.

Arrived for a small breakfast and found a fully stocked buffet. This former Shoney's has been transformed into a warm and so very friendly restaurant. The walls are covered with pictures of the beautiful local mountains. Adorning the entire restaurant are string instruments used in performing Blue Grass Music and the music is actually provided on weekends. The breakfast food and service was very good. We will return when in the area. Special notice to the bi-wing model plane at the end of the buffet.

Fried chicken, Mac & cheese, mashed potatoes and gravy with mini blueberry muffins.

Good selection of food on their buffet and all of it was very good. 'Down Home' theme and good service.

Food was cold, and was not that tasty sadly. I was excited for a buffet but this didn't scratch the itch for me.

Located inside the Bolling Wilson hotel on the ground floor, in the front left corner of the building as you walk in from the street front. An updated traditional small interior, with lots of seating outside both on the porch and side patio. We were greeted walking in and opted to sit on the front porch since it was a nice afternoon the day of our visit. Service is professional, kind and attentive. Our server was prompt with our drink orders, appetizer and entrees, and checked on us enough without being overly intrusive. We enjoyed a leisurely meal in a beautiful setting. Starting with the Griddled Focaccia eith balsamic reduction drizzle. A great starter, simple, well prepared and delicious. I opted for the Mustard grilled Pork Chop with a Devils backbone Lager. The chop was nicely prepared but a little overcooked (dry) not bad but still overcooked. Good flavor and a nice presentation, however it was dry which made it tough to cut. The flavor and the sauce made it palatable though, just wish it had been tender and not dry. 4 Stars - All in all, still a decent meal with great service in a nice comfortable locale. 01236

It is next to the Edith Bolling Wilson Birthplace Museum, so stopping here after a visit would be super easy. There were plenty of specialty drinks on the menu, and they trended towards the sugary direction. There were plenty of families enjoying the space, and options for kids and adults. My drink ended up being sugary-sweet and I probably would have asked them to dial it down if I had realized. On the plus side, they were able to get drinks out pretty quickly, in spite of there being quite the crowd. The space was clean and modern. Also, the bathroom was clean and very much appreciated on our road trip. I probably wouldn't sit and enjoy my drink here, due to the high traffic (at least when I visited). For a quick stop in, it's nice. I'll be sure to order better next time. Solid spot!
