It was not too busy on a Friday morning at 8:30 am so we didn't have to wait for a booth and our waitress was ready when we sat down. Our order took all of 8 minutes to be prepared and set down. Fiesta omelet with everything for me. Waffle for Mrs. K. A number of cups of coffee were consumed. All cooked properly other than I was given the toast I didn't want. Waffle House still hasn't brought back their salsa and I don't care for Tabasco, so I had my own hot sauce this morning. The only ding on an otherwise perfect and inexpensive breakfast. This Waffle House was absolutely terrible. We only went here because the Cracker Barrel had a wait. It was gross and disgusting. The bathrooms smelled like a mix of human waste and trash. Dirty disgusting trash. The place was tacky. My server forgot to bring our food. There was no vegetarian options and just simply a complete waste of time. This Waffle House is a complete shit hole. Seriously, the floors are dirty, counters dirty, tables dirty, seats dirty, the plates they serve you with your food on it is dirty. This place is gross! Of course I could not dine in because of the current virus going around. I went in and ordered the special which consisted of 2 eggs, sausage, hash browns and toast. I also orders a waffle and asked for cheese on my hash browns. Let me make this short. The cheese was a slice of cheese thrown on top of the hash browns. The eggs were over easy but waaay undercooked. I had to throw it in the microwave at my hotel room to cook them longer because there was just clear egg. This is the worst waffle house quite possibly in the entire world. The servers except for Melissa (who was friendly at least) were mentally stunted. Our entire order was wrong and we had to wait for it to be fixed. We called and take out that was supposed to be ready in 10 minutes and after arriving waited 20 minutes. Paula attacked us with spray chemicals and had to be told not to spray customers. Paula also appeared to be on some type of methamphetamine and in need of social services. Stopped for a very early breakfast and was very happy with my meal. I had the cheese egg platter. The eggs could not have been more perfectly scrambled they were a mass of firmish curd curds suspended in a moist, creamy cloud of cheesiness. My ham slice was generous and the hash br browns were crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The raisin cinnamon toast was made even better by the addition of apple butter. This location was almost aggressively clean. Floors and bathrooms were spotless. The waffle irons were being cleaned right after use. Service was prompt, friendly, efficient and professional. Despite all the warnings and cringe faces people made when we said we wanted Waffle House, we went! It was late, we were traveling cross country and starving... And it seemed like a fabulous idea! We walked in and no one greeted us. I felt awkward because I didn't know if you seated yourself or waited for one of the employees in the corner glaring at you... Once someone came to seat us, she was friendly... But we got such a miserable vibe from this whole place, it was depressing. The food is ehhhhhh. We only got 4 things and 2 items were wrong.. This particular location is memorable for all the right reasons: Location: 5 out of 5 Somewhat subjective, but easy highway on-off access with gas stations near by. Customer Service: 5 out of 5 Everyone working when I went several weeks ago on a Saturday afternoon was friendly, and even though it was right at the shift change time, people were thorough with closing out their accounts, cleaning up, etc. Service was quick and polite. Menu and taste: 4 out of 5 I mean, the menus are the same everywhere you go, and they did an above average job cooking my burger (yes, I get burgers at WH from time to time) Ambiance and Decor: 4 out of 5 As someone else noted, a little bit chilly on the inside, but well maintained and clean. Value: 4 out of 5 Depending on how you play it, eating at WH can be "inexpensive" to "moderate". In other words, it's possible that you could go to Chilis or similar to get an equivalent meal for a few dollars cheaper, but it's sort of the novelty of sitting in a diner that I enjoy. I LOVE waffles. I go to IHOP because they make waffles the way I like them, with Blueberry compote and whipped cream. We decided to try out Waffle House today and one would think you could get waffles any way you like them. NOT. All they had were regular waffles, pecan waffles and you could add peanut butter or chocolate chips for .30. We left the waitress a small tip because she brought us water and left without ordering. Took a trip out here today and had a a wonderful experience! The staff was super friendly and totally accommodating to us with our "substitute this, substitute that" orders. Food came out hot and everything tastes great! We ate ourselves into a food coma. Nothing against anyone who worked there, I wish the seating area was bigger. a group of co-workers and I use to come to this Wafflehouse a lot after work. but our experience last night has stopped the tradition. our waitress, kallie, greeted us with complaints about her day and about her job. We didn't come to listen to her problems, we came to eat and hang out. our food came out burnt ! i always get the same thing, Texas cheese steak melt with my hashbrowns smothered, covered, and chunked. The cook never wore gloves, pulled raw bacon out to cook, tossed it on the grill then grabbed bread and started making a sandwich - he never washed his hands. I was grossed out and couldn't eat.
