    Flat white

It was my first time at this place on Friday because I heard it's a good place to work. BlogTO doesn't fail and they were right. Nice long tables, bright space, noise level is kept to a minimum, and friendly service. I was very surprised at the noise level, everyone was just quietly working. The place wasn't that full around Friday 10 am so I was able to grab a seat after I ordered coffee. I didn't need plugs so I didn't look for a table with one. Despite the nice ambience, I found their beans acidic for my taste. I ordered a flat white and it was acidic and there wasn't enough milk for my preference. I like the work space so next time, I'll just order another drink and not a flat white.

Really nice big patio to work or relax while having a drink or coffee

Solid 3.5 stars ... better than average dirty chai latte and decent cookie. Just off of Bloor St. is a really cute and calm cafe. It has a great large patio with many tables and it's really kept clean. Lots of big tables where you can drink coffee and work. It is a nice relaxing space. They also have a lot of different craft beers and drinks for your to enjoy. We came here because we wanted a bit of a caffeine kick and something sweet. I wouldn't necessarily come here for something sweet. Though they do have a few baked goods (muffins and cookies) and they're quite generous in size, they're decent and may not get your sugar itch. Just a few doors down you have Bakerbots. As for the service and drinks, I was pleasantly surprised on the large variety of craft beers and ciders here. It would be awesome to enjoy a can of your preferred drink on the patio. Service here was chill and quick... not much of a talker but definitely works quick to deliver our chai latte. Chai Latte - An authentic tea latte... this isn't your typical premix from a box. It has a gingery note to it. It is a touch bitter so add some of the simple syrup that is found at the cart. I found it pretty good. I did appreciate how they had almond milk. 3.5/5 Pecan Chocolate Chip - It is a large large cookie that is quite soft. It isn't overly sweet and it's a pretty decent cookie. 3/5 Overall, cute spot if you're looking to chill and relax in the sun on a nice patio.

    Chocolate raspberry vegan muffin. Delish!

This is a vegan-friendly cafe in the space that used to be El Cafecito. I really love the patio on this space. It's removed from Bloor and quiet. Interior is small but beautiful. They have vegan muffins, a vegan sandwich special (red pepper and hummus) and you can get jam on toast made from freshly baked bread or just buy a whole load here. They also have quite a few beers available for when coffee won't do. Extra points for the name. Owners are super friendly.

A glance inside of the (tiny) blackened chicken wrap

This is the oddest review I've written to date. I got the blackened chicken wrap to go. Just got to the office and plucked it from the bag to eat but.. half the wrap is missing. Or at least I was positive off the top that they forgot to put the second half of my wrap in my bag. I even checked my purse to see if it had fallen out (I'm klutzy that way..). But no second half. Just a relatively thick but short wrap. Taste: Incredible !! Great blend of flavours and appreciate the crunchy vegetables mixed in with the chicken and rice. Their nuanced flavours inside of this is awesome. But $9 for half a wrap is not something I would do again. The Foodbenders wraps they also had available looked like a much more generous portion. I would get one of these next time. Atmosphere inside: Hoppin' !! This is clearly the place to be on the Ossington Bloor strip. It was packed and there was a continuous line. Would be a great cafe to bring your book (lots of people had laptops) and chill for a bit. Thinking of the sidewalk patio as I say this. One woman even had a blanket she had brought to drape over herself, while she enjoyed her lunch. I want to give this place 5 stars but my tiny wrap left me with mixed feelings. And still hungry! Giving 4 stars as i don't think it's fair to give a low rating due to one specific food item. Honestly still wondering if they just forgot to put the other half in my bag ..

BEST CAPPUCCINO I'VE HAD in Toronto so far! I was in the area and popped in here to do some work. I ordered the cappuccino and an oat cookie. The capp was absolutely delicious, you could actually TASTE the coffee. The milk:coffee ratio was exactly right. The cookie was also super tasty and by the description, it's a healthier alternative. They also have gluten free options. Big plus: the price is great! The atmosphere is awesome as well. The decor is simple and cozy and the wifi works perfectly. I ended up staying almost 3 hours working and felt super comfortable. Recommend for sure!

Field Trip Café - Toronto. Nice patio to work but the internet wasn't working. Chai Latte is not very good and croissant just normal .

    Cappuccino under $4.00

Came here while wondering in this part of town. The coffee is good and what one would expect from a nice cafe next to a park such as this. They have a bar, a patio, nice staff. The interior had a clean modern look with minimal decor. There is an abandoned building across the street with graffiti across it that gives this place a 'totally legit'/ 'bad ass' vibe. If your into that sort of thing. Although judging by the elderly out of town couple inside, it's a pretty tame neighbourhood. There are sandwiches made fresh daily, judging by the loaf of bread half sliced on a cutting board on the counter, it's a 'from scratch', 'onsite' type situation. On the whole seems like a great place to waste away an afternoon or start a laid back Friday night.

We arrived shortly after they opened, the aesthetic is eclectic and simple. The seating arrangements are comfortable and available indoors and outdoors. We both got their classic breakfast with double smoked bacon; I opted for a beer ginger drink and my friend ordered a chai latte with oat milk. She really enjoyed her drink, and it was a decent size. Whereas my beer and ginger juice was delicious yet on the small side, especially since ice cubes took up a lot of space. As for the meal itself, the eggs with crème fraîche was out of this world! They were the most delicious eggs I've ever eaten. I wish the portion was slightly bigger. The double smoked bacon was perfectly cooked and not greasy. It was thick and not overly salty. They fill up the rest of the plate with 3-4 slices of sourdough and I appreciated that they butters the toast and offered us jam. Overall the plate was fresh and delicious. I' savoured each bite. The service was good, attentive and friendly. Towards the end of our meal, it was getting busy and the noise volume increased, so just a heads up to anyone who doesn't like loud spaces. The music was on point though and I can imagine on a warmer day, the patio would also be a cool vibe to experience. One note I feel is needed to mention is the bathroom. I almost missed the steps descending down to the bathroom because the area is poorly lit. This is a safety issue. Secondly, if you're tall like me, the stalls are very tight and claustrophobic. I barely had any room in the stall and it was very uncomfortable; be careful if you're bringing your purse/phone cause there's no space and I could easily see how things can drop in the toilet. I would highly recommend the business investing into this a little more.

The entrance is two sets of doors so no draft when people come in and out! They have a very extensive cocktail and wine menu. There are also plates du jour (an entree and dessert). I ordered the duck confit over crispy rice and orange sauce. My companions ordered the chicken with maitake mushrooms and the burger. We shared the crème brûlée and basque cheesecake. I really enjoyed my dish! The duck was cooked perfectly. Duck was moist and flavorful. The crispy rice gave it a nice texture and helped make it a more filling dish. The orange sauce is a classic pairing with duck. The basque cheesecake has some delicious cherries! But the cheesecake itself was a little more burnt than I personally prefer. The crème brûlée had a very thick caramelized layer on top. But the creme was smooth and sweet. It'd be a great spot for a date night. But those with sensitive ears should proceed with caution. For three people I think it was about $135 CAD maybe $160 CAD after tax and tip.
