Well, didn't get to try it thanks to the stinky attitude of the young lady at the outside counter. That's all I could smell because there certainly wasn't any bbq smoke or smell. She is fortunate I'm mature enough to just walk away. If she doesn't like her job, find another one. read more

Very friendly service. Clean and tidy. Order from the outside window when you arrive. We got fried pickles, smoked turkey sandwich, and a stuffed potato with chopped brisket and sausage. Great fried pickles! Hot and crisp and a really tasty batter. The turkey sandwich was outstanding with a beautiful toasted bun and tender moist smoked turkey. Good vinegar slaw, too. The potato was enormous and heavy with meat, cheese, bacon, and sauce. They even have good tea, nice and fresh. Highly recommended. Next time I'll save room for dessert. read more

Passing through from California to visit family and came across this gem, off the beaten path. Food was absolutely delicious (especially those fried pickles were straight on point). Staff was friendly and the service was great. The weather was pretty warm at the time we went but they offered outdoor shades areas and indoor seating as well. Would highly recommend and do plan to come here again when we return. read more

I gave 5 stars but would have given 10. Their burgers are delicious and well seasoned. The onion rings are big, hot, and crispy. I think they home make their ranch. They have a lot of outdoor seating and indoor seating as well. I haven't tried their BBQ or desserts but they look delicious. I'll definitely be back! read more

I really wanted to give a high review but I cannot. Ordered the stuffed baked potato w/ chopped beef, cheese and butter. Of course it was a to-go order so didn't check until getting back home. The only good part about the whole ordeal is that the potato was cooked correctly. No butter and the amount of meat and cheese would have barely filled a Holly Hobby tea set cup. What little there was had zero flavor. Not sure if the meat that was there had ever been in the smoker either. I've eaten from here before and it wasn't great then, but it was better than this time around. I doubt that they will get any more business from me. There are way better stuffed potatoes out there for the same fifteen dollars. I recommend looking elsewhere. read more

Great little spot! Awesome service and friendly staff. Got the chopped brisket sandwich and half rack of ribs. Wife got the turkey and it was super juicy and loaded with black pepper. Even the kids tenders were handmade and fresh. Highly recommend if you are ever in this area! read more

Stopped here on our way to Santa's wonderland , and we were very pleased with our food! The brisket is tender and packed with flavor , the ribs fall off the bone , super delicious , fries and Mac and cheese were also yummy! Definitely must try if you're in the area. read more

My first time here - my work buddies took me here. I tried the chopped brisket sandwich and was very happy about my decision. I'd say this mmiiiiigggghhhttt be the best chopped brisket sandwich I've had since I can remember from here to Jersey Village. It was very flavorful and each bite had volume. They were on point with portion size and it was not messy the entire time I ate it. I inhaled half of it immediately and had to remind myself to slow down and enjoy my food. Environment is laid back and chill. I'd probably give this place 5 stars just based on my experience but one of the guys ordered the Swiss mushroom burger and they came back and told him they didnt have any swiss. But we saw the girl get in her and car drive to go try and find some so we thought she was going the extra mile literally. I told my buddies next time they go here not to forget me! read more

We have frequented Field Store BBQ since it opened. The food has always been good and the service on the market. However yesterday we went to buy some brisket and ribs by the lb. only to be told they would not or could not sell me anything by the pound. When I asked the girl if they were in business to sell BBQ I was told they were but she would not sell me any by the lb. but I could buy the equivalent as sandwiches. I told her that's not what I wanted and that I would have to go elsewhere and her response was not that she was sorry but "That's OK!" I then drove to Magnolia, miles out of the way, and purchased BBQ for our meal. As it turned out the Brisket at the other business was almost $6/lb less. I will probably return at some point due to the convenience of the Field Store location but I will have to give it serious consideration before I do. read more

So glad we stopped here for a bite to eat! We came just before closing and they were out of Mac and Cheese which makes me think that's one of the more popular side-dishes. The fries were the homemade skin-on kind and were amazing! We had a meat plate and the bbq was tasty and not saucy. The cole slaw had almonds which I liked. We were there around 5 pm and placed our order for sliced brisket and two cold sides (since they were out of ribs, turkey and chicken) There were no other customers around for 5 to 10 minutes And they ordered. About 10 minutes later they got their orders. So I went to the window inquiring why 3 orders placed after my simple order were fulfilled and I was still waiting for mine which happened to be sitting inside next to the person taking the orders.... Stopped by on a frigid cold evening. The restaurant is more of a food truck type setup with some outdoor picnic tables under a covered area and they also have an indoor dining room. But you must order from the window first. Bundle up if it's cold! Friendly service and good sized portions. I tried the 3 meat plate with brisket, ribs, and sausage. All were decent. Their BBQ sauce is different in my opinion. That night it had a different consistency, unlike typical BBQ sauce. And the sauce was a bit sweeter than is my preference. Stopped by to get a loaded backed potato with brisket instead of chopped beef. It was okay, brisket was so-so but there was this weird tomato paste sauce on it. Not sure what that sauce is but it was certainly weird on a loaded baked potato. Got a piece of bread pudding, it was really good. Not sure if it's home made or not, but it was good. I'm a competition Louisiana/Texan BBQ'r, but when I don't wanna BBQ, this place is amazing, their sides are the best, trust me y'all, this place is always packed, that should say something! Man ole man Texas ain't short of BBQ joints but this little spot is arguably some of the best BBQ I've ever had and I've had franklins, killens, and plenty of cookoff award winning meats. I'm a sauce guy and there's was so good I didn't use a drop. I mean hands down their Ribs are amazing, there chicken is fat and juicy with a thick peppered skin. The Cole slaw is a light vinaigrette style and They serve sweet tea that's just right. If that wasn't enough, the banana pudd'n alone is worth the drive, A family member brought us on a whim as we live in downtown Houston and I have no problem making the hour drive to eat here. Ok I consider myself a Texas BBQ officianado- and I had THE BEST Texas BBQ I've had from a restaurant in a long time here today. The sauce....the sauce was soooo good. Pork ribs- spectacular. Literally the best ribs I've ever gotten from a restaurant Brisket- excellent. Perfect smoke, perfect seasoning/bark, nice slice thickness Sausage- very good flavor, not overly smoked. Just a tad dry, but I'll order it again next time I'm there- which will be very soon. Potato salad- Just good old fashioned country potato salad. Nice and cold, very fresh- Nice texture and flavor. Wife had brisket sandwich and homemade fries. Bun was delicious, toasted just right. Nice size sandwich, with that delicious sauce. Fries were good. This place deserves five stars! We have been here twice and they did not disappoint! Our first trip was for moist brisket and sausage. Nice smoke ring and it melted in your mouth. Second trip was cheeseburger and fries...equally delicious. Great flavor on a perfect bun. Hand cut French fries topped off the juicy burger. We finished dinner with bread pudding that is out of this world! My daughter had the banana pudding that was equally delicious...creamy and light. You can tell time and attention was paid to cooking.
