I love the BBQ at this place but decided to try breakfast. We were on our way home from a trip and ordered in advance. They serve full breakfast but also serve BbQ which was good for us. When I got there the manager was very busy but super sweet to make sure my order was being packaged. He went between the to go counter and the line, never missing a beat. While I waited, I got some fresh jalapeño and pico because of my meal. I ordered huevas rancheros with brisket and it was so good. I would probably get corn tortilla next time. Also husband got a bbq plate with chicken, ribs and spicy rice. They gave us plenty of bbq sauce but forgot the beans. My son got pancakes. Three giant ones! Came with fried eggs and hit the spot. I also got potatoes with my meal. The breakfast tacos were good, we ate those later - one brisket and one bacon. I came here hangry for some breakfast, Texas-style. I left here full and smiling. What an interesting restaurant with all the decorations and memorabilia. Sure felt like Texas from floor to ceiling. I ordered the smokehouse combo that comes with 3 eggs, 3 pancakes, 3 slices of bacon, brisket and some fruit. That meal was fit for a cowboy or two! Everything on that plate was delicious. I came here today on May 14th 2025 with my girlfriend after we were extremely disappointed in Luby's for not having the fried fish I ordered the brisket, the ribs and the sausage with mac & cheese, mashed potatoes and the Charles beans everything was spectacular. Just had 4th of July lunch there. Wife had pulled pork sandwich and I had loaded potato with pulled pork. The fat content was disgusting, each of us on separate bites ended up with nothing but pure fat bites. Both entrees were loaded with fat and we did not finish our meal. Our family met up and had breakfast this morning at HC BBQ. I must say it was the best brisket tacos I have ever had! You got 2 with the meal deal and a couple of us only could eat 1. Service was great as well. The taco meal was 10.95 included 2 made from scratch tacos with your choice of meat and 1 side. These were big tacos not like fast food tacos at all. We had a great breakfast at Harris County Smokehouse! I ordered the pork ribs and eggs with grits and swapped the bread for a pancake everything was yummy. The ribs were a little overcooked for my liking, but still flavorful, and that sausage... perfection! My partner had the mac and cheese, and it was so creamy and full of cheesy goodness. The pancakes were on point as always fluffy, buttery perfection. The bacon was crispy and flavorful, and of course, we can't forget the free rolls and cornbread always baked fresh and a nice touch. We always to love to go here for breakfast. I had breakfast tacos there yesterday 1/12/26 and the tortillas were crispy overcooked and cold. Food and service was amazing but I will have to give them 1 star rating on parking lot because the handicap parking is near the exit door the ramp is not exactly easy to get to and the ramp is all the way at the corner there is not enough space to walk in front of the handicap section so you have to walk behind the cars and I never been there before and walked in thru the exit lol Lord that was wild but Will the manager on duty said I wasn't the first to complain about it. Went to eat at the location at 290 and 1960 in Houston Texas on Mother's Day 2026. We were so disappointed regarding the food the service the atmosphere. The brisket was tough and dry the food was cold the fish was greasy. The staff that night made us feel very uncomfortable they seemed very rude except for one gentleman who I do believe was one of the managers sweet as could be. We accidentally left a Mother's Day gift there on the fireplace that was a beautiful ivy call the next morning as soon as they opened to find out about the plan took me two days for some girl to tell me oh I threw it away in the trash. I asked why we're not supposed to keep things in the restaurant I explained to her it was Mother's Day things get left you didn't even hold it for 24 hours. This was our first stop on Saturday when we got to Houston, as we were meeting a former coworker of my boyfriend's for lunch. The meat here is very good. We each got a two meat platter; I got ribs and brisket and my boyfriend got sausage and brisket. Both of my meats were tasty but the ribs had some sort of brown sugar rub and was really good. I got mashed potatoes and fried okra for my sides. I'm not really an okra person but the rest was good. Definitely don't skip out on the peach cobbler for dessert, as that was also excellent. This restaurant is set up cafeteria-style where you grab a tray, tell the employees what meats and sides you want, and then pay at checkout it and find yourself a seat. I had some smoked chicken and some ribs along with Mac n Cheese plus some corn on the cob. Freshly made buns were tasty but to be honest the rest was for me just "Okay"* Texas stuff everywhere and some really funny things on the wall and ceiling but the food experience was just average at best..... The only thing that I was disappointed about is that I couldn't fit more food in my stomach due to the heavy, drinking from the previous night. They have a full barbecue spread I sampled the burnt ends and the brisket and I have never tasted meat so tender. I've got the breakfast combo with the pancakes that were fluffy and amazing the home fries with perfectly seasoned and cooked potatoes delicious eggs, and amazing sausage. They also have yeast rolls that look like clouds of heaven out in the drink area. You can get as many as you want with your meal. You are able to a choose of breakfast meat or bbq meat(brisket, pulled pork, etc) in your burrito. I ordered the mini Texas breakfast and picked jalepenos sausage for my meat. There was so much food- 1.egg 2. Bacon 3. Choice of meat 4. Pancake, waffle, or French toast 4. Breakfast potato. I was very surprised by how good the jalapeño sausage was! This has got to be one of the worst BBQ restaurants in Harris County. This was my second visit, and I was really not surprised that the BBQ was so unbelievably terrible again.
