Great roadside BBQ stand. We visited here after an A&M game. It was late in the afternoon, so the menu was limited but this is the hallmark of a great local BBQ place (they sell out of things because it's really good). The servings were HUGE. I had brisket and sausage with baked beans and potato salad as sides. My husband had all this plus a chicken leg quarter. Stopped here on my way back to Dallas, lured in by reviews. The customer service was top-notch--I ordered banana pudding, they ran out, and they promised me a free dessert next time. I changed my side last minute, and they threw in an extra one for free. Then I met the brisket. Dry doesn't even begin to cover it--I thought I was going to have a medical emergency.The green beans were just ok. But the peach cobbler? It was the Beyonce of the meal--absolute perfection. Outside seating, music playing, lots of flies, 10/15 minute wait. Luckily it was a breezy day so it wasn't a bad vibe but I'm sure mid summer it can be brutal. In town for an A&M football game and decided to stop on the way from Houston for some BBQ and it did not disappoint. All of the food was amazing (brisket and fried okra were my favorite) and the service was top notch. Will be coming back if I ever make my way back to Kyle Field. Gooood stuff and just what I needed after 6 months in new york. Brisket was tender and had a good bark. The chicken, my mother in law's order, was something we talked about all day. It was so juicy and flavorful. Plus it was like a half a chicken for 12.50. The sides were also all good. Between 3 of us, we had green beans, ranch beans, potato salad (mustard for the win!). It was hard to pass up the Mac and cheese but new years resolutions and all that stupid stuff. I could have gone for a thinner, spicier sauce but I'm nit picking here. Really yummy chopped BBQ sandwiches. We also had a side of green beans, which I will definitely be back for, baked beans, and potato salad. We finished up with some of the best banana pudding I've ever eaten. The lady who took our order was super friendly and helpful. Definitely worth the drive. My only suggestion would be to use tubs for the sides instead of the hinged lid containers as they were a little leaky. Will definitely be back. read more

No frills but really good food. It is mainly a takeout place (but you will wait a good 10 minutes for the food). They have a patio with some picnic benches and I sat there (they have ceiling fans and they have heaters so it's not bad whatever the weather). 1,2, and 3 meat plates range from about 15-20 bucks. I got a sliced brisket sandwich combo with potato salad and an unsweet tea (11 bucks - good deal). The sandwich was fantastic, very flavorful meet, a subtle sweetness to the sauce, and of course I got it with pickles and onions. The potato salad was what you would expect maybe a touch better. It looked small until I picked it up and it was jam packed with brisket. read more

I try BBQ everywhere I go and as often as i can... this moist sliced brisket was as good as I've found anywhere bar none, and it was piled high. Didn't try the sauce, didn't need it. Mustard potato salad was the way i like it too. Now I have to come up with reasons to pass through Navasota more often. read more

It was my first time there the Ribs Are very tough And they have a lot of fat on the ribs, I didn't enjoy them they definitely need better quality meat. The potato salad was old didn't have much taste at all It was definitely a waste of my money but at least I gave it a try I didn't want to return it because I love to support small business but normally small business food is very tasty I didn't get lucky this time!!! read more
