It never got super busy though. Service was good. Staff were friendly and checked on us a lot. It's a very try modern looking restaurant. Looks more like a modern cafe inside. Not the vibe I expected but cute! We ordered spicy wontons, stir fried pork belly with green chili, sizzling beef short ribs, and Yangzhou fried rice. We had no idea the dishes all came with rice or else we wouldn't have ordered more. The food came out fast! Portions are definitely shareable. Nothing was spicy. I do think the flavors were a bit lacking. Everything could have been more seasoned but I wasn't mad at it. They do have both an authentic menu and an Americanized menu. A little disappointing. I ordered Di Guo Bone-in Chicken which was supposed to include mushrooms, onions, carrots & celery. It had celery and maybe onions but I never found a single mushroom or carrot. It did have green peppers, though. It was labeled "one hot pepper" so I was expecting a spicy hot dish but nope, it wasn't hot AT ALL. When I asked the waitress about that, she said sometimes people say their food is too hot. Then they shouldn't order a dish labeled with hot peppers. But I did and what I got was like American stew with some aromatics added. My son ordered the General Tso's Tofu and he liked it but his rice didn't arrive for another 10 minutes! It also took awhile for us to receive forks. I went here to meet up my girlfriends for dinner and drinks. We ordered 4 dishes and shared. My favorite dish was the Sichuan Spicy chicken from the authentic menu. It was spicy and flavorful. There was onions, cauliflower and lotus in the mix. The sauce was so delicious. The Sichuan spice was not overpowering and paired with the white rice was the perfect combo. We also had the fish dish. It was 2 large fishes in a heated pot. I didn't like the bones in the fish. The portion was so big. We were too scared to get a fish bone stuck in our throat that we just picked at it. The noodles and pork was good as well. It reminded me of a Thai noodle dish. My least favorite was the tofu. It was just ok. We also had sake to drink. The dishes were on the pricey side but large enough to share. The sake crafts were big and hot! I really enjoyed our meal and will probably come back soon! read more

Came here for a team dinner and we were seated in a private room with two large tables. It was nice to have a separate space, but it did feel a bit cramped once everyone was seated. One downside was the lazy Susans, which didn't spin very well, so passing dishes around turned into a bit of a workout. The menu had a mix of American Chinese and more authentic Chinese dishes, which was nice for a group with different preferences. Overall, the food was decent but nothing particularly standout. The spice level across dishes was solid though, with good flavor where it counted. A few dishes missed the mark. The cold chicken appetizer was disappointing, as it lacked flavor and the chicken was cut a bit too choppy. The spicy wontons also fell short, with too much wrapper and not enough filling, and they could have used more seasoning. On the other hand, the spicy grilled pork belly was one of the highlights. It wasn't overly greasy and paired really well with the peppers. Service-wise, the food came out at a good pace, which kept the meal moving smoothly. Came for lunch on a snowy Saturday. I was surprised the place was quite crowded for Saturday. The dining room had beautiful cane backed booths, pendant lighting and a retro full bar. It was a simple but elegant feel that still maintained a casual vibe (see photos). The server brought us both menus. American Chinese and Authentic Chinese. We have been trying to avoid American Chinese. The authentic is usually more spicy and uses less sugar. Much better for you. My husband chose fish fillet in si chuan spicy soup and I chose Di Gua Pork ribs with rice. Both entrees way too much food for one person. Should be shared! We started the meal with crab rangoon. It was wonderful and well plated. Artistically so. Really recommend this. There were four pieces. Each piece had a generous bite inside the crispy wonton. Yum. The soup had very tender fish mixed in a spicy broth with bean curd, mushroom, cabbage, bean sprout, and lotus root. It was amazing. Also recommend. The server should have timed the two orders better. My order came out 15 min after my husband's. By the time the pork ribs came I wasnt hungry and took two tiny bites and didnt eat it. It looked more like a stew with little broth. The flatbreads didnt seem as generous as the photo in size or quantity however they were the best part of that dish. Rich and flavorful. The pork ribs were tiny and a little overcooked. I really wouldn't recommend that they have better things. It wasn't bad. It just wasn't good enough to get again. I do look forward to the next time I come Looked at all the people that were around us and noticed what they were eating, and most of them were ordering off of American menu, except the people directly behind us. I've been wanting to try this place for a while since the hype is loud. Situated in a strip mall along Bethel - home to hundreds of amazing international eateries - Fiery Sky has managed to become known as a standout. And now I see why! We had our team holiday dinner in the back room. The circular table fit 15 of us and we had an epic feast! One friend was very familiar with both the traditional and Americanized menus and was able to guide us. This is authentic Chinese with a good spice level (hence the name) and chopsticks on the table. You can ask for a fork and less spice if needed. I had the General Tso's tofu and it was superb - to quote Drake, it was the best I've ever had. Other popular dishes at our table included short rib, firecracker chicken and the Szechuan wontons. Generous servings of steamed and fried rice were provided. Service was quick and efficient. There's plenty of free parking in the plaza and a decent amount of seating inside! The restaurant is welcoming, cozy, and lively. We love trying something new each time because everything we've gotten has been delicious. We really like their Twice Cooked Pork Belly, their Wide Noodles, Eggplant and Green beans, and their apps, we love their Spicy Wontons and Salt and Pepper Chicken. There's nothing that we haven't enjoyed getting. All the food is flavorful, made with quality, and fresh. You will walk away full and with a delicious meal. Tonight I had the pleasure of visiting Fiery Sky Asian Kitchen after seeing a friend's glowing review. We ordered the Chefs special of general tso's chicken. It was very tasty and we even got my daughter to try it for dinner. Mom win tonight! I was worried it would be spicy and there was barely any spice for the sweetie to enjoy her meal. We ordered side of the appetizers pork egg roll and hot and sour soup. The egg roll was off for my husband but I enjoyed the taste of it. It comes with the sweet sauce. The hot and sour soup sort of surprised me and I wasn't expecting chicken in the ingredients. I will be back soon as I am eyeing the eggplant dish next. We tried Fuery Sky for lunch. When we walked in, the restaurant was full with Asian customers with interesting looking dishes. To me- that's a great sign at any ethnnic restaurant. The menu I received did not have any of the dishes I saw others enjoying. So we ordered ered off the lunch menu. The portions were generous! I ordered veggie pad thai mild and an egg roll. The heat on the pad thai was spot on but it lacked flavor. My husband ordered General Tso chicken. He ate the rice and broccoli saying the chicken and the sauce were not good. We both agreed that the egg rolls were good. I esoecialy liked the sweet & sour sauce served on the side of ithe egg roll. I used it to season the pad thai. Service was spotty. I think they got busy and no one checked on us for refills or presented our check. I used the restroom located at the back after walking a long hallway. It was clean. They understood our vegan questions, and double checked when unsure. We went on a busy weeknight and had great service. Our second trip there was not as great. This spot is worth checking out. Fresh, spicy, authentic and generous portions. I got the spicy szechuan beef , the dry pot califlower, also had the cucumber appetizer. I took home half of everything except ate all the cucumber, and was stuffed, ate the rest for lunch the next two days. I was in the area and asked my sister for a recommendation for dinner and this place was mentioned. I walked and was greeted within a few minutes asked if I was taking out. There was only a few people there around 530 so I figured I would get fresh food which I did. I received 2 menus which 80% of the items had a spicy rating on them so I was left with only a few options which I kind of knew where it was going. I order a warm house sake which tasted pretty typical. They were a little skeptical on me ordering it like I was unaware that it was hot sake but the menu said cold/warm so whatever. I did have 3 servers the whole time which I think was the host, server, and then the bartender? I was told I should go with the soup dumpling of the options which was only a few drops of broth in 2 of the 4 dumplings so that was disappointing but the taste of the mince pork was really good. For the entire I ordered the stir fried flat noodle with beef. It came out in Mayne less than 10 minutes hot and fresh. The presentation was ok just no vibrant colors. My first impression of the flat noodle was jello like. I had my sister try it later and she said it was mushy. The flavor was good but kinda greasy so I didn't eat much of it. If I do return I'll try a healthier option and maybe see if one of the spicy menu items can be made non spicy because I felt like there was not much for me to choose from and maybe it's catered for a non spicy girlie like me! Probably my favorite Chinese food restaurant in Columbus right now. I love this place. It is always busy so make sure to call ahead for reservations if you can. I've been here many times. But the last time I came was on Chinese new year. We had about 16 people and was able to sit in the private room. It was an incredible experience because we pre-ordered and the food came out really quick and easy. The food is always delicious. Some standouts include the fried fish, the clay pot, cauliflower, the cucumbers, and the Mapo tofu. The di Guo pork belly with green beans was so interesting in a good way. It takes 20 minutes more to come out but it's worth the wait. The green beans are not your typical green beans. There's also potato in the broth with the pork belly and a little cilantro sprinkled on top. It's a nice heat, not overly spicy with a little anise flavor. The Yu Xiang eggplant complemented the dish well because it was also not overly spicy and has a bit of a sweet flavor. It's in a lot of oil but didn't taste oily. We did have to wait a bit for the rice but the restaurant was full and thus busy. Servers were nice. Very spacious inside. Easy parking. And we only had a short wait on a Friday night. read more

Had some sizzling Sichuan mala flavors at Fiery Sky! As a fan of Sichuan cooking, I was happy to see another option for tongue numbing flavors. They have a lot of indoor seats and outdoor, which should be good once spring comes! The boiling spicy fish was my favorite dish of the night since it was packed with flavor and veggies such as tofu skin, Napa cabbage, and mushroom. The mapo tofu was also very good, with lots of mala flavor and bits of meat. The Taiwanese fried chicken was on the saltier side, so I would prefer the red pepper fried chicken. Stir fried string beans were seasoned well and had a nice fiery taste to it. The twice cooked pork was not my favorite since it was too oily, although it had a good mix of veggies in it. Ordered for delivery on Door Dash and was pleasantly surprised! To start, we had the crab ragoon and the spicy wontons. The rangoon had a perfect balance of crab and cream cheese flavor. The wontons, while not as spicy as I expected, were unfortunately a tad overcooked. I suspect this was due to the takeout container sealing in the heat during the delivery process, however, the filling's flavor was tasty. For entrees, we tried the general tso and the cumin-spiced lamb. The meat quality in both dishes was excellent and the flavors were on point. I was seated and given water fairly quickly, as well as my server taking my order. What took the longest about 25 to 30 minutes was actually receiving my food. If I have to wait for my food and it's delivered hot and fresh even though the weight might be long it sometimes is worth it. However, my food came, and it was on the warmer side of lukewarm, but not piping hot and fresh. When I first arrived, it was like a steady pace of patrons dining. It wasn't super busy nor was it slow. On top of that, the food didn't invigorate me as I expected. The Sichuan dumplings were a tad heavy on the soy, but it was an OK dish. The star of the show was the Chongqing popcorn chicken. It had originality, flavor, and a numbing tingling sensation that the Sichuan brought forth. Would I revisit this spot? Bad service! Came here for restaurant week but walked in at 5:30 and was told restaurant week ended at 5:00 pm. This is on Jan 25 yet the website says restaurant week ends Jan 26th and no specific time is given. Sooo here is what happened. I was with 3 people and the first person ordered and when he was done the waitress just walked away to the next table and took their order. What!? We sat there wondering why she just walked away. Then a minute later another waitress tried to serve us a plate of dumplings and we had to tell her we didn't order them. I sat there wondering why the women would just walk away! Then it hit me. The person told the women after he ordered if he could have his soup FIRST. (As in to get it now). Sooo she must have thought before anyone else orders can you get my soup? About 5 minutes later another waitress approached us and asked if we were ready to order. We told her what happened and she didn't seem phased by it as if it happens all the time. A waitress approached us with two dishes and handed one to a person in my party and then took the other dish to another table. Leaving me the only one without my dinner. 32 minutes later we had to flag someone to find my food. Talk about bad service! Needles to say no one at my table will be coming back. read more

Started hearing about this among other new Chinese places coming soon. Had a chance to swing by. In the big strip mall K-Pot is in, but closer to City Egg and the seafood boil. Plenty of parking. Very nice inside, plus they'll have a patio open in warmer weather. Great service. They had just opened at 11am, and just opened the whole place in the last week or so I think, but they have things together. Large, interesting menu. I got a century egg app because of course I have to try it. A nest of soft tofu cubes swimming in semi-spicy oil, with the egg diced on top. You wouldn't know it's an egg- marinated to a deep black, chopped pretty small. Weird presentation, but really not weird-tasting. Mild, a little salty, the (ex-)white is maybe a little more rubbery than a standard hard boiled one. Good, not amazing, definitely worth trying. So many entrees I wanted. Sooooo many. They have a dozen or so standard Chinese-American dishes, and some familiar apps, etc. But lots of very authentic things too, and that's what they specialize in. I ended up almost randomly with the braised beef curry. A large portion, with small bits of tender, flavorful beef, many veggies, and a side bowl of perfect slightly sticky rice. A little heat, not really spicy. Very nice curry flavor. The beef had a lot of fat on the edge, though no bones, and while it is a traditional cultural thing it made it hard to eat, and less fun. I picked out the good bits, savored them with rice and veggies and the excellent broth that collected underneath. Pretty expensive, across the board, though that is pretty standard nowadays. Big portions and great quality, so it's worth it. Nice enough inside for a date night, big enough for groups, though not huge, and they have another separate dining room in the back. Newly opened Sichuan restaurant in the Bethel center. They are currently soft open. They took the place where Hummus Grill used to be. The service is quick and convenient. We had fish in chili oil, spicy wonton sauce and Fish fillet fry pot. The food was delicious and well seasoned. Dry pot Fish seemed to be little dry and stale, must have been previously fried and restir fried. I get it Sichuan but the amount of dried chili's is also little bit much for my liking.
