    Chicken sisig
    Dani G.

Came here around 11 on a Sunday and it was already quite busy. I had to park on the street as the parking lot was already full. When I arrived they asked if I had a reservation, which I didn't but since there were only two of us they were able to seat us right away. The server was working hard as they were very busy but she was very pleasant and helpful and explained their menu to us. I had the chicken sisig which was full of flavor and my friend had the breakfast lumpia. I had a bite of the lumpia and the inside was delicious but I didn't like the crepe but that's a personal preference, it was cooked to perfection. I had a few cocktails that were delicious as well. Smaller space but nice space with a few TVs and a bar area. The food was good, the service was great. I would certainly check this place out again to try some of their other items.

Loved seeing multiple vegetarian items on the menu at Bonifacio! The weekday lunch menu had very generous portions, and everything tasted really good. I especially loved the calamansi juice and bok choi! The space inside was cute and service was overall good. Would definitely go back!

This place reminded me of my grandma's cooking with a modern twist. Very friendly staff. Large menu with the traditional items like chicken adobe but also modern items like a breakfast lumpia. Very large portion sides. My favorite was the Ube Chicken &Waffles. Just wished it was white meat chicken. Got the Kimchee Bloody Mary which was flavored more with kimchee than vodka. Make a reservation! This is smaller space so walk-ins be prepared to wait. A walk in group was told wait could be up to 90 minutes.

My coworker was doing some research on some Filipino places and this place got his interest. He told me about it and I was interested myself. I was skeptical about this place because I, myself, is also Filipino and is very particular about our food. I will say my expectations were met. I was surprised with all the flavors. This made me feel like I was eating at a family party or at home. THEY DID NOT DISAPPOINT NOT ONE BIT. This place made me feel like I was at home cooking with my mom, tita (Auntie), or lola (grandma). We came from Cincinnati and this place was well worth the trip! I would definitely come back!

Finally able to eat here again-everytime we tried it was packed. Going at 2:00pm there wasn't a crowd.Seated immediately. We started with Veggie Lumpia-they were crispy and had great flavor and texture. Then we shared Grilled Pork Belly and BBQ chicken skewers. both came with a dekicious salad and huge serving of rice.I left with almost half my meal. It was delicious The chicken was moist and the sauce was wonderful. The pork belly was tender and very well seasoned.

Bonifacio is easily one of my all-time favorite restaurants in Columbus. From the moment you walk in, the ambiance pulls you in -- rich cultural vibes, beautiful aesthetics, and an atmosphere that feels both cozy and exciting at the same time. I've been here for so many different nights and occasions, and it never disappoints. If you can, come on one of their Boodle nights -- it's such a fun, immersive experience, and everything is served fresh, hot, and incredibly flavorful. My absolute go-to order is the chicken pyanggang with garlic rice, chili crisp potatoes, fried bok choy, veggie lumpia, and their crispy fried green beans. Every dish is packed with flavor, perfectly cooked, and clearly made with care. Another huge plus: it's super affordable for the quality and portions you get. You truly get a ton of bang for your buck. Honestly, Bonifacio is even cheaper than a lot of fast-food spots, and I would choose this place over fast food any day without hesitation. The service has always been amazing -- every server I've had has been kind, welcoming, and genuinely helpful, which makes the experience even better. Seating is a bit limited and can feel tight at times, and some of the chairs aren't the most comfortable -- but it's a small trade-off for how good the food is. I also love that they have a drive-thru pickup window in the back, which is perfect when you want incredible food on the go. Highly recommend.

We were in the area and placed an online order to go for the crispy tofu, lumpia (one pork, one veggie), and the BBQ chicken skewers. The food was ready earlier than quoted, but we received a text message giving us a heads up that was the case. We were directed to pull around to the drive thru (yes, they have one!). Since this was our first visit, I'm not sure if the place was just really busy or if it's customary to need to call to notify them that they had a line in the drive thru, but that's what we ended up having to do after 10 minutes of no acknowledgement that they were even aware that we were there. Once we got the food, it was all well packaged for travel and quite tasty with generous portions. It was really nice that you have the option of doing mixed orders of lumpia and not just one or the other. The veggie was clearly "marked" by being wrapped in a bit of banana leaf in the container. For the entrees, they both came with rice and salad, but there was also an easy option right in the order form to request double rice or double salad instead of getting both. They also have a really nice allergy area to indicate any special requests/needs, as well as a long list of sauces from which to choose. We did double rice on the tofu and the standard rice and salad on the BBQ chicken. Both the tofu and chicken were cooked really well - chicken was tender and the tofu was nice and crispy, as promised by its name! Nice corner location with a small parking lot and drive thru.

Amazing Filipino food! Drove up to Columbus for a show and found this hidden gem for dinner. We ordered all the Filipino classics (lumpia, pancit, chicken adobo, lechon) which were all amazing. This is a modern Filipino restaurant, so found some fun add ins (green mango salad with savory shrimp paste sauce, eggplant side, ube donuts in chocolate dessert). Everything was delicious and we ordered more to go and enjoy the next day. Make sure you get a reservation and in early as it fills up fast and is a cozy spot/smaller parking lot.

Great customer service here! I also enjoyed the modern take on Filipino food. I really enjoyed the chicharron Tofu. The adobo rib is good, I love that the meat fell off the bone. They give pretty big portions, I definitely did not finish it! The ube colada was interesting, the initial taste is colada and finishes with an ube flavor. It was good. The ambiance reminds me of a nightclub in the Philippines it's a restaurant and has a bar too! You can also eat with your hands if you want.

Finally had the opportunity to go to Bonifacio, & it most definitely lived up to the hype! Everything about this place was amazing! The vibes and aesthetic were spot on, and I'd definitely recommend this spot for a fun date or a great meal with friends. The service was fast and incredibly friendly! It's recommended to get a couple of things from each part of the menu and share amongst the table, and that was definitely the way to go! The chicken skewers were so tender and tangy with the sauce they were basted in; one of the best skewers I've ever had! The ribs were fall off the bone good and the bok choy had this awesome glaze on it that made them irresistible! Their cocktail menu looks great and the mocktails were totally refreshing! You need to check them out if you haven't been, and go on a Boodle night if you can!

Came here in a Saturday at lunch time and it was packed. The parking lot was already full so we had to find street parking. We were a small party of 3 and were informed a table would be over an hour wait, so we chose to sit at the bar. We ordered and our food came out relatively quickly. Everything was absolutely delicious! I would give this 5 stars for the food alone but after we received our food the service dropped off. Our water was never refilled, our server didn't check in with us, and we had to hunt someone down to get our checks and some boxes. I was a bit disappointed because up until then everything was great. It seems like since it is a smaller place I will need to come back when it's less busy. But I will definitely be back or at least order for pick up because the food was that good!

If I could give more than 5 stars, I would! We stopped here for Restaurant Week and everything we had was amazing! Our server, Josh, was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable about the menu. He went above and beyond to make sure our experience was great. We ordered the 3 course restaurant week menu, and it was amazing! I highly recommend the chili crisp potatoes. We will be back!

    Ask the Community - Bonifacio

    Do you offer outdoor dining?

I went about 6 months ago in the height of the pandemic, and they had set up temporary tables and tiki decorations in their parking lot for patrons. They did not have any indoor dining available at the time.

How much $ is boodle night?

It depends on what and how much you order; it's an a la carte menu. Regular rice is included.

Quick and attentive service. We started with crispy dumplings (6), crispy egg rolls (2), and a scallion pancake. Bing, their crepe, wasn't available our night. My dining companions loved the pancake - for me perhaps a bit too much drizzled sauce. It was helpfully quartered when brought to the table so sharing was easy. The dumplings were indeed crispy and probably my favorite with a standard dark dipping sauce. The egg rolls were standard and perhaps a bit undersized and over fried, but a good creamy dipping sauce was a pivot away from the sweet chili sauce that usually accompanies such apps. Ramen is clearly the focus of the menu and three of us had ramen with chicken and one with pork. They spoke favorably of the broth and the combos of mushrooms, boiled egg, greens. I had the rice vermicelli with chicken that they called a salad. I was expecting the classic Vietnamese staple but this one had some adaptations, perhaps to a fusion or one might say less ethnic nod. Small things but the ample portion served in a small bowl made it hard to mix the rice noodles, lettuce, carrot, cucumber and chicken that is a common approach to the dish after drowning all the ingredients in both sweet sauce (nuoc cham), siracha and/or hoisin sauce. It only came with the nuoc cham. They brought Siracha when I asked for it, but I'm a fan of having these condiments on the table standard. Again, had the sense that the business lunch crowd that is probably the primary audience isn't likely to be as focused on the more authentic ingredients. The chicken was also not grilled and sliced but had a pleasant preparation. Just know it won't be the charred flavor that is so common. Finally, not to obsess on this one dish, but cutting the lettuce leaves more would enable easier chop sticks combos of the ingredients in single bites. Overall it worked for us. I am definitely the most focused on (my companions would say obsessed) on connection to what these dishes should be. If adaptations work well for you, Tiger+Lily likely will as well.

This was the best thing ever about my shopping experiences at Saraga. Two weeks ago I shopped at Saraga for the last time. The aisles are packed with boxes and the floors and shelves are dirty, especially in the south Asian areas and near the Halal meat market. there is a frozen meat case with spices stacked on top that smells putrid. I'll bet there are meat products in there that date from the store's opening. The dry foods areas are in disarray, lack price tags etc. The only food shelves that are neat and clean and easy to use are in the Mexican aisle. The cooled shelves in the fresh produce section are filthy and clearly outdated merchandise is not removed or reduced in price. Finally, the parking lot has ruts, holes and trash thrown everywhere.
