We have never been to this restaurant before to start off. I will say, why!! This place is terrific. The atmosphere when you walk in is very decorative and inviting. The lovely hostess that greeted us was very friendly and attentive. Once at our table we had no complaints. Our waiter was so nice and really helped us on our selections. The good: Service was excellent. My dragon punch cocktail was great. The egg rolls were good. Waiter was perfect! The bad: My mandarin orange beef dish had large pieces of orange rind and the beef was fried and had a burnt taste- as if the oil needs changed. I like orange rind but not a 2 inch piece to chomp on. Panda Express taste way better. I have dined at this establishment many times over the years. Food seems to have gone down hill. My daughter's "dinosaur tenders" were also overcooked and definitively the oil needs changed. Ambience was ok but restaurant could use a remodel. Bathroom is dated, dingy and dark. I came back here to update my previous four star review. These last two times I have come, Molly Woo's has been exceptional. I am not sure whether they have made any staff changes, or changes to the menu, but everything was excellent. Our server was very friendly. He caught wind that one of the people at our table was celebrating his birthday, and brought a desert of his choice. I appreciated him going above and beyond. The ambiance is as great as ever. A Cameron Mitchell restaurant that reminds me of PF Chang's. The Thai Basil Scallops were absolutely delicious - it's the sauce! Wish there was more eggplant in the dish. Next time, I would order with extra veggies. The green bean dish was also delicious. I ordered a milk tea with boba to start. The boba had the look of tapioca pearls but had the consistency of jellies which was fine, just not what I expected. Our server was great and checked on us regularly. For being attached to a mall, I was impressed with the fancy exterior and interior that elevated the experience before taking my first bite. The mandarin-hued lighting set the scene perfectly and the outstanding service of our waitress was noticed and appreciated. She was pleasant in her demeanor, helpful in her recommendations, attentive to our table, and threw in some extra rice for our leftovers. In my mind, I figured that the food would balance out the good things mentioned above and be 'just okay'. Wrong! It was across the board good. The bao buns w/pork stood out as well the Szechuan green beans. Both the honey and firecracker chicken entrees were saucy and taste exactly how they sound. Friendly and efficient service. Five of us dined and we all got our correct orders and separate checks, no problems. I ordered the Ginger-Crusted Salmon and it was good. I was surprised that it came with rice. No mention of that on the menu but not a bad surprise. I was also surprised that the bok choy was HOT and I mean choking hot. This is such an underrated restaurant. With a cute on theme vibe, good service, and delicious food, this is a Cameron Mitchell spot that always hits. We went here recently for my brother's birthday and it reminded how awesome this place is. We split A LOT of different dishes including the calamari, crab Rangoon, spicy tuna roll, California roll, firecracker chicken (my favorite), honey chicken (I could do without this, it's good but other dishes are better), orange chicken, and Szechuan green beans (also a must). I really wasn't in the mood for Asian food when we went to Molly's, but I needed something close that wouldn't be ridiculously busy on a Sunday evening and they did not disappoint. The inside is dim lighting, decorated with Asian flair, it's loud and lively. It's your typical Chinese-American dishes, they are of course a bit pricier, but totally worth it. We started with the calamari, potstickers, and volcano roll...OMG listen everything was sooo good. The volcano roll is probably one of my most favorites that I've had anywhere. The calamari was a tad bit salty and the smaller pieces a little over cooked, still pretty good though - I prefer it a bit crunchier than soggy. Potstickers were fantastic as well. For entrees we had the beef and broccoli, a beef lo mein, shrimp pad Thai, and the red snapper. They were all so so delicious. Honestly, I hate ordering fish at restaurants, this one was good, it was fried golden outside, flaky inside, and it tasted...idk...clean or fresh. Dessert was absolutely fabulous as well, the chocolate cake and crème brûlée were to die for. Our server was amazing as well, he was attentive, quick, and asked about allergies - which my son did have. So I was able to have my pad Thai without worrying that my son's food was contaminated. We went to Molly Woo's twice in a short span of time for a couple of celebration dinners. During both visits, we had exceptional service, the food quality was great, the portion size for the value was reasonable for a CM restaurant, and the ambiance was beautiful as always. The menu is large enough to cater to different taste buds. We tried the Asian Pear Fizz and Dragon Punch cocktails - both were decent, but not great. Our parties enjoyed the edamame and spring rolls from the appetizer selections. On one occasion, we tried the Volcano Roll, and I will certainly order it again the next time I am there. Among the entrees, there are quite a few fish options as well. We really enjoyed the Ginger-Crusted Salmon; however, the Red Snapper dish was also tasty. We also liked the Honey Chicken and the Garlic Chicken dishes. As great as the appetizers and entrée items are, save room for the Chocolate Cake - it was delicious! On both occasions, our servers were top notch. They were patient, made great recommendations, and were very efficient. Molly Woo's is yet another example of a very efficiently run CM restaurant where you know you will get an overall solid to great experience every time. read more

Pretty good ambiance for a casual to slightly fancy meal. The food is safe, not bad but could be better. Definitely not authentic Asian but if you want to try something Asian themed with Western touch it's great. I would say it's like a fancier PF Chang's. I have to start my saying there are not many occasions that a Cameron Mitchell restaurant disappoints, but Molly Woo's did. I had reservations for NYE, at 6, arrived and was seated promptly. Ordered our drinks and appetizer, appetizer was brought out but there was a long wait for our drink order, we actually had finished our appetizer long before our drinks arrived. Dinner was ordered then the wait began, after 25-30 minutes our server came by to tell us that the kitchen got behind with carry out orders and was not preparing dine in orders. 5-10 minutes later our entrees finally came. Dessert was not offered. I understand it was NYE and there were carry out orders but to ignore the dine in customers was terrible customer service. We were never approached by anyone in management, to apologize for the terrible service. It will be a long time before we return to Molly Woo's. read more

Can't believe I haven't been to Molly Woo's, when I love Cameron Mitchell restaurants so much. It's so refreshing into a restaurant knowing there are going to be lots of GF options, in fact they asked me right away if a GF menu was needed. Super cute inside, love the look, but we thought the music choice was not right- loud pop music just didn't fit and it took away from the experience a bit in my opinion. I ordered a sake to drink, it was recommended to me by the server and I didn't realize it would be sparkling, it was fine but not my fav. We ordered a spicy salon roll to start, it was pretty good but seemed to be missing something in its flavor profile. Not bad, but not incredible either, I'd probably skip it next time. For dinner I had a hard time choosing, there were so many options for me! I went with the kung pao scallops (gf) and he got combo lo mein with chicken and steak, skipping on the shrimp. We both wished our dishes had more veggies, just a personal choice we would add on next time. But I was happy with it, love having so many choices so I'll definitely be back. read more

We took my Mom out for her birthday and thought this would a good dinner spot. We were not disappointed. First time here. Exterior and interior were nicely decorated. My Mom actually had the same Oriental fan that was on the wall as a decoration. Service was good and food was very good. Half the table thought the Calamari was a too salty. I liked it. This Columbus restaurant has been on my foodie bucket list ever since it opened, and I'm so glad that my first time enjoying a meal there was with some of my favorite girlfriends as we celebrated our Friend's birthday . I didn't take too many photos of the food since I was having such a great time chatting with the girls , but let me tell y'all what the delicious dishes were that we ordered. We started the night off with sampling the appetizer menu and ended up picking crab rangoons, Thai lettuce wraps with chicken as well as crispy tofu, and sweet garlic eggplant . Each of the appetizers were delicious, but my favorite was the crispy tofu, and crab rangoon. Both of these dishes were perfectly crispy while not being oily, and the filling of the Rangoon was a great blend of real crab and cream cheese. We kept it simple for the main meal and asked for a combo wok fried rice with shrimp and chicken, and a vegetable wok fried rice, as well as the garlic chicken. When the entrees arrived I was surprised by how large of a serving they were giving us! I mean there was so much food that even after the 5 of us ate there was a lot leftover to bring home. Just like with the appetizers the dishes were perfectly balanced in flavor. To end the night we ordered their chocolate cake so we could celebrate the birthday girl . This was probably the item that left me feeling like it could've been better, most people will love the cake, if cake is your preferred dessert then definitely try the cake (it's cause I bake so much and make so many cakes, cookies, and other desserts so frequently I'm hard to please when it comes to cakes ). That's how my weekend came to a delicious end, and I know that I'll be visiting @molly_woos soon, because as soon as my daughter took a bite of the fried rice I'd brought home the first words out of her mouth were, " Mommy, you have to take me here. When I saw a great $30/pp menu for Restaurant Week, I made a plan. We came in around 5 on Monday night to sit at the bar for both happy hour and RW dinner. I love the red decor in both the dining room and the bar; it's so pretty. The two bartenders were great and we had a lovely night. We split the potstickers - you can get them steamed or seared and we chose seared. So good. I started with a Mai Tai and it was made very well; it was served in a tall glass with a lime garnish. I had red wine after that with HH prices before 6 pm. They offer several starters, cocktails, beer and wine at discounted prices from 4-6 M-F. For my 3 courses, I chose the Spring Roll (there were 2 and deep-fried), Sesame Chicken, served with a choice of rice variations (I had brown), and Chocolate Cake for dessert (they boxed ours for takeout, upon request). Boyfriend had the Egg Roll, Beef & Broccoli, and the cake. He loved his entree and would def. get it again. Everything was wonderful and I won't hesitate to return. read more

Green beans, they could have been a tad bit crunchier but the flavor was perfect. I wasn't a fan of the beef and broccoli pretty average. The rice was rice . Service: went during lunch time , food was fast but our server had a large area that was split and i believe had to make drinks. I sucked on ice for so long, brought extra soda for my sister but no extra water. which is why i took a star off. The restaurant was clean, dim and perfect for the setting. I've tried this place several times. It's just not worth the money. There are so many place to get Chinese food that's better and cheaper. The portions aren't big, yet you can't find anything under $16-$19 - my firecracker chicken was ok. It was $19 and it only had shredded carrots in it. The egg rolls are very small, you only get two of them for $10 and they are pretty bland. The crab Rangoon was good. The green beans were good. They were like $8 tho. My cousin got the pad Thai she liked it. The service was decent. My Asian pear cocktail was really good. The mai tais were terrible. They were $11 and all juice. They are supposed to have dark rum in them and by the color you can tell there isn't. My cousin loves Mai tais and she didn't even drink this. She gave it away. read more

I have been going to Molly Woos since day 1. I have been several times and it keeps going down hill. I just went this weekend. this was around 2pm, not a busy time.. My family received their appetizers immediately, which everything started out great. Then they received their food about 8-10 minutes later. They were done eating by the time i received my house salad with sushi. Had to go up twice to the server to even get a refill. Sushi was not the one i ordered, but was hungry and definitely been there now an hour and wanting to leave so we just ate it. Prices are outrageous now, service is a joke, food portions so much smaller. After so many attempts of hoping it would get better, being it was my favorite place to eat.. I will no longer be going. This place isnt cheap, take your money elsewhere. read more

I have been a loyal Cameron Mitchell restaurant guest for many many years including Molly Woos and based on prior quality and the price have had high expectations that have been met. But the last several times I have been to Molly Woo's the food has been less than expected. Last night, our meals did not taste good, the steak and chicken over cooked, crab Rangoon (which used to be the best in town!) was also overcooked/too crunchy. I don't mind paying for good food but I could have had better food at Panda Express. I don't think I can give them another try. None of us finished our meals or crab Rangoon and it all went to waste. read more

I thought the flavor was a bit too sweet however the beef was very tender. The rice was kinda crunchy but maybe that's how they cook their brown rice. Portion size was adequate and had leftovers ( mainly because it was so sweet). Hubby had the firecracker chicken with brown rice. Although we came on a busy night (Valentine's Day), and didn't have a reservation, we were seated right away. I was impressed with the decor and the friendly and energetic server. We ordered the Crab Rangoon appetizer. My husband ordered Garlic Chicken with noodles and I ordered Sesame Beef with noodles. Our dishes were very salty. Sitting in view of the kitchen I saw a lot of cans, so even though I didn't get a good look at what the cans contained I got the impression that the seasoning sauces aren't in-house made. As visitors to the area, this was our first experience dining at Molly Woo's. The ambiance and service deserve 4 stars. The restaurant's decor is stunning, and the servers were kind and attentive. The food, on the other hand, was good but nothing special. I had the fried rice and firecracker shrimp (sauce on the side) while my husband had the firecracker chicken. Molly Woo's Asian Bistro was previously one of my preferred dining establishments. However, during my last three visits, the food was consistently disappointing. They formerly prepared an exceptional vegetable fried rice dish with an ideal balance of delectable vegetables. Unfortunately, the last two times I ordered this dish for my family, it was equally underwhelming. Notably, the dish now contains a scarcity of vegetables and, at best, a mediocre flavor. Furthermore, the appetizer portions have decreased in size; notably, the egg rolls are now priced at $12 and change for two pieces. The ingredients used are also of inferior quality. As a formerly loyal customer, I regret to state that Molly Woo's Asian Bistro is no longer a dining destination that my family and friends will revisit. Initially, I was in denial, but after three separate occasions, the experience was thoroughly disappointing. By the way, the ambiance is very pleasant, but during our last visit, the server spilled sauce on the floor, stepped over it, and neglected to return and clean it up. We took the initiative to clean it ourselves, as we were concerned about the potential safety hazard of someone slipping and falling. Won't be back!:( read more
