Beef special, shrimp paste, fish, tofu skin, tomato broth, spicy flavor broth (medium) with teddy bear
Yushi N.

The waiter asked me what soup base I wanted and I said, "Teddy bear **uwu eyes**." They told me that is not a soup base. It's an add-on. Now u kno. Anyway, Coco is probably the best hotpot place in Columbus. I love the selection they offer; they have some of my favorite ingredients, including ye ol' reliable beef, but also tofu skin, enoki mushroom, fish, and SHRIMP PASTE!!! The broths + teddy bears also taste very good and I don't even usually like hot pot broths very much. Service is efficient (ty for putting up with my limited Mandarin), food presentation is pretty, and the interior is clean and spacious. The main downside is that eating at Coco's does unfortunately get Quite pricey :/ But I think worth it if you want nice hotpot in Columbus!

Fall is here and get yourself ready for the Hot Pot season. As a Hot Pot lover, I am here to sum up the Hot Pot options here in Columbus for you. Either you are first timer or a regular, I hope this would help you navigate around the local Hot Pot spot. Here come Coco Hot Pot out at Bethel Road. I had been here awhile back for their regular menu, but haven't try their Hot Pot before. If it is your first time, you can rest assure as their Hot Pot menu is filled with picture and listed out the step for you to order. They offer both option for mini pot and big pot. If you are with a big group, I highly recommend to pick the big pot and you can choose up to 4 different broth. Moving into the food, you can select from their combo option or create your own. Other than the typical Hot Pot option, they also have some special offering such as shrimp paste and handmade pork or beef cilantro ball. Once you order the food, time to go mix up a bowl of dipping sauce. Their sauce bar option is fairly extensive. If you looking for some inspiration, they also have a list of recommended sauce mixes for you if you not sure where to start. Look out at the left corner of the sauce bar, a little pot of taro sago dessert is hidden there. If you are looking for an extensive selection from the food to sauces, Coco Hot Pot maybe the fit for you. Outside from their Hot Pot menu, they offer a full set of Chinese dish menu along with bubble tea as well.

Great food and service, ALWAYS! I'd recommend this place to anyone, the food is always fresh and the portions are huge!

Several people went out to eat and most were happy with their food and service. I ordered the Kung Pao Tofu and expected it to be hot and spicy. It was sweet but the hot peppers that came with it were spicy. However, I couldn't really break up the hot peppers to eat with my sweet tofu since all I had were chopsticks and a fork so I just ate the tofu. My husband's House Tofu was OK but he liked it. The spring rolls were OK - they were deep fried with no particular great taste. Someone else ordered the Spicy Cucumber Salad and it was delicious - sweet and spicy and perfect. Others ordered the hot pot and were satisfied. I'd go back but just not order either of those two tofu dishes again. Servings were very generous.

I simply enjoy going to Coco' grill for my Sichuan food cravings ever since HongKong house off of Henderson road shut down in COVID. Their Ala carte menu is huge with several vegetarian and gluten free options. They have great hotpot as well which I highly recommend. The portions are great and taste is always consistent. I usually go with my usually favorites Poached fish in Chili oil Twice cooked fish or spicy fried fish fillet Diced chicken Cauliflower dry pot They serve bubble teas as well so definitely checks all my boxes for one stop shop Definitely try them out if you love spicy food as much I do!!

One of our #614Favoritebites !!!!! Your palette will thank you * not one bite hits the same ! Don't be afraid to experiment. You'll have fun creating your own unique dipping sauces from the sauce bar . The service has been great every time we've been. Super chill restaurant space; great for large groups or just your enjoyment .

Hot pot with chicken, mushroom, and spicy, broths. Sliced beef in the background with veggies to the right and the paste combo on the left.

This place has got to be the best hot pot spot I've tried and this includes Chinatown in Chicago. The waitstaff are attentive and helpful in explaining the menu and it's options. We ordered the 3 broth option with spicy, mushroom, and chicken broths. We also ordered the sliced beef that came with veggies, the ball combo, and paste combo. My favorites were the fish balls with fish eggs inside and the beef paste, but it was all super yummy! All the pastes are homemade and are kinda like meatballs. Don't sleep on the sauces, either! I would recommend making a least a couple from the recipes listed.

I loved it here. The atmosphere, the concept and the food. I've now been here twice and I look forward to my next excuse to go. This can be best described as Chinese fondue and it's spicy if you decide it to be! You can choose proteins, veggies and starches individually or as a platter. They have a "sauce & dessert" bar for $1 extra--never gotten the dessert but love to mix up sauces for my meat and veggie dippers. Service was fantastic as the visited our table regularly to make sure our broth was going well and replenishing anything we might need to enjoy. Definitely a fun idea for a first date for those who are culinary-adventurous!

A delicious and fun dining experience!! We loved creating our own sauce blends for the deliciousness coming out of the broth. We had 3 broths. Spicy Thai was our favorite. Delicious. We had chicken, beef and prawns. Check this place out! It's really great

Beef and lamb!

Went to an early dinner around 4:30pm, and we were seated immediately. It was lively but not too loud. It was my first time here, and I went with my fiancé and a friend of ours. We got a split broth (chicken and spicy thai). If you're sensitive to spice, be mindful of the spicy thai! We ended up mixing the two broths to make it less spicy but still very flavorful. We got some beef and lamb, udon, ramen noodles, and a variety of veggies! My favorite was definitely the udon noodles. They also have a bar to make your own sauce. I loved the garlic and sesame oil - went AMAZING with the lamb! The only note that I have is the sauce station was a little messy, so I'd ask your server for separate items if you have an allergy! We'll definitely be back to try out some boba and the other broths!

I arrived at noon and the parking lot was already pretty full for this very unassuming Chinese…read morerestaurant from the outside. There is plenty of free parking which is nice. When I walked in the atmosphere was great, I could smell good food and heard conversations. There's a large area with large round tables to right and to the left are booths and almost all of them were full. The menu was a mix of Americanized Chinese, traditional Chinese and included Dim Sum as well. There were a number of dishes we didn't know much about and there were dishes being enjoyed by other customers that looked delicious. The wait staff was more than happy to explain the dishes and/or show us on the menu what someone was eating. They took very good care of us and shared the tasks of bringing our food, filling water, and just checking in. Now the food. The food came out very quickly! We all received a well filled bowl of rice. First out was the string beans, perfectly cooked, not droopy, and the flavors of garlic and hot peppers. Even though the peppers were there the heat was not overpowering at all. Next was the shredded pork with garlic sauce. The textures of the pork and bamboo shoots were a nice contrast and the sauce was perfectly balanced and craveable. The special grilled lamb, I was told, was some of the best in the city. It was tender and well spiced. Even when he said he was full he just couldn't stop eating it. For the dim sum order we got the shrimp dumplings, soup dumplings, scallion pancake, and sesame balls and they brought a soy sauce and a chili oil with them. The shrimp dumplings were tender but the dough was pretty sticky. I think this is normal and they were tasty with some of the oil on them. The scallion pancakes were very thin and gummy, this is the only thing we ordered that I would not get again. The soup dumplings were very small but packed a lot of flavor. The dough did stick together a bit so unfortunately some of the soup did leak out. The sesame balls were the hit and we're just the right amount of sweetness that we considered them desert. They were large, at least 2" in size, with a wonderful sesame seed covered exterior and a soft, sweet center. Chuan Jiang Hao Zi is a wonderful somewhat hidden gem. If you want traditional Chinese cuisine including all the different offal they have it and I would totally try it here over anyone else if I was brave enough. Portions were a good size for the price. I highly recommend checking them out!

I had the Kung Pao Chicken & it was by far the best I'd ever eaten. So many layers of flavor & heat. (a bit spicy for me, but I struggled through & loved every bite) Will definitely be back to explore some of the more "exotic" dishes on the menu. (Wasn't feeling to adventurous this trip) The restaurant was well decorated & the staff took great care of us. (saw a large selection of dumplings at this place too.....definitely be back to try those)

Plus, I figured hibachi can take awhile, and I usually don't have a long time for lunch. Today I had a little more time, and I made a point to head over. It is a bit out of the commercial sprawl at the corner. Look for the food truck, that's the first thing I saw, and it helped me find where to turn in. I wasn't sure if there would be dine in, but there is, plenty of seating inside and out. Inside there are seats at the counter, plus booths, plus I think a couple tables. Menu is pretty basic: hibachi and a few sides. I got steak and chicken, with fried rice, and you pick two vegetables so I picked cabbage and bean sprouts. You get a Yum Yum sauce, and you can add others, but I didn't need them. And the sauce container they gave me was plenty big. The steak was tender and perfectly cooked, the chicken was tender and flavorful, cooked in a nice sauce. The fried rice was great. The vegetables were perfectly cooked. And it all came out in about five minutes. They had a steady stream of carry out customers, but they still got mine on the grill, apparently as soon as I ordered it. Fast and good, and competitively priced for hibachi. A big portion, but not a huge, two days' worth of leftovers portion. But I was stuffed and couldn't finish it all. When I saw the drink cooler with just water and a few juices, I figured I'd have to go with those, but they do have fountain drinks. And they actually have a pretty good variety, cola, diet cola, cream soda, blueberry, cherry I think, and a few others. Anyway, several pleasant surprises, the food lived up to its reputation, I was in and out fast, and for not a whole lot of money in this day and age. I will be back.
