So we started with the egg roll and Crab Rangoon. These were both so good the egg roll was loaded with pork and not just stuffed with cabbage. The crab Rangoon were so tasty and wasn't small portion but filled. Then it was on to the popcorn chicken, I asked the sever how hot it was he said only 1 pepper not hot. The gentleman waiter was very polite and gave me suggestions of their popular dishes based on my "not too spicy" criteria. I love how this new eatery has brightened the space from the previous Mr. Hummus Grill with the off-white walls, lite wood furniture, and soft and inviting lighting. The large outside patio seating remains available, great for warmer weather. Ample parking, too. Bummed I didn't come with a group, so I wasn't able to try a little bit of a lot. There's also an element of entertainment, pizzazz, and showmanship like you'd get at a hibachi place with a chef cooking with fire and doing tricks. For example, there is no hibachi chef or onion fire volcanos here but the entertainment is with the SIZZLING dishes and dry HOT POTS that come to the table with the fire underneath that you can control that'll keep your dish hot as you eat. It's pricey but so what...you get your moneys worth as one dish could feed two to three folks and the taste of this spot is far better than your average mundane Chinese spot on the corner somewhere. The service was great. Taiwanese salt and pepper chicken: this was good and tasted just like its name. Chicken was good and I liked the coating. Chongqing spicy popcorn chicken: we asked for it to be made without peanuts due to an allergy. However, one did get in there. We didn't tell the server since I ate the evidence. But I guess be really careful if you're severely allergic to peanuts (luckily the person I was with was not and I spotted the peanut in time). The chicken was good and fried nicely. The chicken itself isn't that spicy if you don't eat the actual peppercorns or chili. But altogether it was good. Twice cooked pork: this is a dish I recommend. The sauce was good. We went for Restaurant Week. Reservation was 5:30 on Friday of RW. We were seated and given regular menus. When I asked for a RW menu we were told that they stopped RW at 5:00. Wait ... what?! Took one person's order and then left to serve another table, leaving the other two of us with our jaws hanging open. It felt like a joke. But it wasn't. She never returned to get our orders. Finally several minutes later another woman came to our table and asked if she could take our orders. We told her what happened with the first waitress and she acted like it was no big deal. The night went on like this. The person who ordered first asked for his soup first, but it was all brought together. He was served about five minutes before the second person in our group. And the last person in our group was forgotten. We had to finally ask the waitress to get his food. A full 30+ minutes after we got there he finally got his food. So we all finished eating in stages. The food was ok but nothing special and certainly not worth the hassle. About halfway through we just started laughing at all the mishaps bc it seemed like a big joke. I got the shredded pork in beijing sauce and would have happily paid the same amount for half the portion size. Ordered food for delivery from this relatively new Chinese restaurant and was very disappointed in the quality of the food. Saw that they seemed to have some of the same dishes that we've loved at N.E. Chinese Restaurant in Clintonville, but the quality here was nowhere near the quality of the cuisine at N.E. Chinese. For the appetizers, we ordered cucumber salad, cumin fries, and salt and pepper pork. The cucumber salad was average and unremarkable, the cumin fries were likely previously frozen crinkle cut fires smothered in a cumin sauce that made the fries soggy and not crisp at all. N.E. Chinese has a cumin potato dish that is a star. These reheated soggy fries ended up in our garbage after a couple bites. The salt and pepper pork had overcooked bite-size pork in a rather bland salt and pepper seasoning. For entrees, we got the dry pot pork trotters...seemed overcooked and loaded with the same previously frozen crinkle cut fries we previously encountered in the appetizer. But it was a moderately successful dish. The Yang Zhou fried rice was rather bland, and heavy on ham bits more than pork, shrimp, or any other discernible meat. It was just ok. While I liked the rather expansive menu with adventurous dishes showcasing obscure items like duck heads and lamb spine, the things we ordered were, at best average, and a bit on the expensive side for this area. Of the food had been spectacular--as it usually is at N.E. Chinese Restaurant--we wouldn't have minded the expense (over $100 with tip), but it was far from it. If you want uncommonly good cuisine from the Dongbei region of China or classic Cantonese dishes done right, head to N.E. Chinese Restaurant instead. Your stomach will thank you for it. read more

Really grateful for the service and food we were able to get from Fiery Sky for our family Christmas celebration. They provided in catering trays more than enough food for our gathering if 20 people. Everyone enjoyed the meal and it made Christmas together so easy. We had veggie spring rolls, pork spring rolls, crab Rangoon, General Tso's Chicken, Beef and Broccoli in Brown sauce, Sesame Chicken, and Kung Pao Shrimp.
