My go-to Mexican Restaurant in town. After trying other Mexican restaurants in town, this is our favorite. Chips and Salsa are tasty along with the Margaritas. The food always comes out hot and to order. The food is always consistent and tasty. I have only experienced professional wait staff here. My favorite dish is the enchiladas which they are happy to customize if needed. The restaurant can be busy at times and a little pricey but worth a visit. A suggestion would be to have a hostess during your busy times. Looking forward to my next visit. read more

I have been here many times and to many of their locations. Every location is decorated in that rustic baja style so many Americans are used to. I must say that the food here is not my favorite at all. Usually dishes are under spiced and overcooked. Meat dishes like Machaca come out dry and tacos come out with stale shells and lack flavor. Went there last Saturday for the first time and the Decor transport you to Mexico. Our Waiter Tony was awesome, very attentive. Chips and Salsa was delicious, Chips was warm and freshly made. We had the Happy Hour Margaritas 2 for $7 and you can actually taste the Liquor, Yum. Food was great and authentic Mexican not Tex-Mex. We will be back soon and hope Tony is on Duty. Nestor and his team always take great care of us. Regulars for more than 20 years, this is our South America getaway. Try the tacos and burritos, but the fajitas steal the show. Working from a new location has the benefit of opening up a whole new set of nearby lunch destinations. Good timing too, as I was running out of nearby restaurants to try! One of my more recent destinations was Fiesta Azteca with a couple of co-workers. The lunch specials are a good price, maybe $5 to $6 on average. Chips and salsa come out to the table before ordering, and the salsa was pretty good. Service was a little lackluster, it took a couple of requests for extra salsa before it actually showed up on the table. I ordered a chicken burrito lunch special, and a pork burrito arrived (they realized the mistake before I touched it and replaced it with my chicken burrito which had been in the waitress's other hand.) The bills came out wrong at the end of the meal, but they were corrected. The burrito itself was good. It wasn't mind-blowing or anything but I'd go back, especially for the lunch special prices. read more

It is so close to where I live, so I was so sad when I finally dined here. Is it so hard to make decent Mexican? Can we have a slightly authentic menu? Please, someone come here and open one. Everything we tried was just awful. Edit: After quite some time, I re-read this and realize I should qualify my comments. If you have never experienced really good and authentic Mexican food, this may be good for you. It is an extremely Americanized "take" on Mexican. This doesn't mean the flavors are bad, it just means this isn't actually mexican food. In other words, if the sign said this was a Mexican inspired American restaurant, I may have given it a better review. But I don't like when a restaurant advertises a cuisine and is not authentic. That said, I have seen that many people in the Melbourne/Viera area have never had the real thing, so with a lack of anything to compare to, I guess this would be ok. So to sum it up, you may enjoy this place, but don't ever go to Mexico or any area in the US with a large Mexican population expecting to find food like this. My rating remains unchanged, but I felt the need to clarify it. However, if you are in the Melbourne area and would like to get something closer to reality, have a look at my review of "La Bamba" in Rockledge, or better yet, head down to Fellsmere. read more

Salsa and chips suck. Salsa tastes like it comes from a bottle, chip are stale. Didn't want to waste calories on consuming stale chips and lower than mediocre salsa and that never happens, wow just gross. Better off getting those $2 tortilla chips at Walmart and the marketside salsa yummmm Chimichanga was not deep fried as menu stated. Chicken fajita salad was ok, I could've done better at home. Refried beans were gross, chicken was cold and tasteless, cheese enchiladas barely had any cheese in them, salsa was tomato sauce with diced onion - no flavor. Guacamole was a joke - more on that below. My request to add spinach to my daughter's kid's cheese enchilada was declined - as the spinach is "pre-portioned"(?) You can get better Mexican food at Taco Bell, at a fraction of the cost. This bland, unappealing meal was expensive. Drinks: 4/10. We ordered house margaritas BEFORE we saw the drink machine at the bar, where pre-made margs were dispensed from. The margs looked like water, and tasted even worse. One extra point for a decent amount of alcohol in them. Service: 3/10. From the outset, our server clearly did not want to be there. She was unfriendly to downright rude. Asked three times for a bowl of limes for the table before receiving. When my husband asked for no sour cream double guacamole, she launched into a tirade about the price of avocados vs sour cream, and told him he would have to pay an upcharge for a side of guacamole. He agreed, and told her, "I can't eat sour cream" (He's allergic). When the meal came, he received a messy pile of green goo on a side plate. After tasting, he determined that the "guac" was about 1/2 and 1/2 avocado and sour cream. He asked the server, who confirmed, and said that's how they prepare their guac (gross!). Husband said he told her he can't eat sour cream, and she proceeded to argue, finally removing it. After that, she refused to return to our table, and another server took over. Second server was delightful, attentive, and sympathetic when we explained the trouble we'd had. Wish she had been our server from the start. Side note: We never saw a manager, and even after we complained to our second server, no one asked a manager to speak to us. We will never return to this location. The Suntree location is great - do yourself a favor and go there instead. read more

Came in with a party of 10 at 7 PM unaware they were closing early at 8 PM. They sat us and we were ready to order pretty quick, but our server was busy so he didn't get our order in right away (not complaining). As we finished eating we were made aware that the hostess was talking bad about us in a group chat which included a family member of someone at the table. As we were leaving the hostess starts yelling at us from across the restaurant saying we should've made a reservation and that they shouldn't have sat us. So rude! read more

We asked the hostess for a table of 2, she put our name on the list and told us 15 minutes, so we went to the bar to grab some drinks. The strawberry margarita blended was good, had a decent amount of alcohol in it and the modelo was nice and cold. $12 not terrible, but it did take 20 minutes to get the bartenders attention. 45 minutes later we still weren't seated. We went back to the hostess, who insisted that there were still people ahead of us. We went back to the bar. 10 Minutes later back to the hostess, who finally sat us. We were starving an already on our second drinks. We ordered immediately and were thankful to have chips and salsa. 40 minutes later we got our food... I was really unhappy about the wait. Thankfully the food was not bad. We ate, paid and bolted. I understand it was a holiday, but there is no reason a dinner should have taken over 3 hours at a mexican restaurant. We try Fiesta Azteca once a month. It's not bad at all. The service is always very friendly and attentive. The place is a little dated and not overly clean (but don't let that keep you away - it's nice). The $1.99 margarita Monday's are good. Strong drinks. The fajitas are pretty good. These folks deserve more than 3 stars. We did wait a little more than typical Mexican places at this caliber but they kept us happy with endless chips and salsa. Dinner was just fine. I have eaten at all 3 Fiesta Azteca restaurants in the Melbourne area.......2 of them are always spot on, but the one on Wickham Rd.has always been hit or miss. Examples include but not limited to:#1 The plate is hot but the food is cold(lukewarm) #2 You receive not one single refill on your drink, or if you do get the requested refill they "forget" to put more ice in it, leaving you with room temp. soda. #3 the waiter gives you a snotty attitude when after sitting for 35 min after ordering (with only 5 other seated tables) you ask why is the food taking so long...... Or you can go in and the food and wait staff are completely on their game and everything goes off with out a hitch. If I didn't live so close I would just write this location off,,,,,but then again I'm always up for an adventure! One more thing,,,why do the lights above each table have a 1000000 watt fluorescent light buld in them???? not great for Ambience especially when the rest of the restaurant is lit so well..... read more

At the Wickham location on Thanksgiving Eve. The family dined here as there would be major at home kitchen activity preparing the Thanksgiving meal. Our meals were good and my party of 4 enjoyed their dinner entrees. Prices are reasonable and portions are large. Service was attentive and our orders came to the table in a timely manner. Is this the best Mexican restaurant that I have dined? No. That best would be in Houston, Texas. I am sure that Mexico City, Mexico would be even better. However, Fiesta Azteca on the central Florida east coast satisfies this diner when in the mood for Mexican food. I will be back. read more

I went with steak fajitas, thinking there is no way to mess that up. It tasted like rotted meat. I've driven by this restaurant several times but never gone in, until today. The decor was colorful and cheerful and we really enjoyed looking around. Service was good, staff was friendly and our food arrived piping Hot! Our rice was light and cooked just right, my wife's tacos were good but she wishes the meat was drained a little better, they were just a little greasy. I absolutely love this restaurant! The food is excellent, I've never had problems with service or quality! this is definitely my favorite Mexican food in the area. My only 2 complaints are the fountain sodas and the portions. Just don't get the fountain soda, just don't. There is nothing wrong with the food, but the portions are not big. they are filling, but a little more on your plate could really improve the meal. I like the atmosphere, you feel like you are about to get something good... I certainly didn't leave hungry. The portions were large and the menu is priced reasonably. Texturally everything was good, and everything seemed to be fresh. However, the flavors were just off. I may be a little biased as I live a little closer to the boarder, but there was literally no spice (like chile spice) anywhere in the meal and the flavor of the salsas in particular were just whack. The carnitas were loaded with meat, but the meat did not have the flavor of a traditional carnita and seemed like it was just stewed with no crispiness and the flavor was a little odd. It was also very annoying that they will not allow you to mix your protein choices when you order tacos, you are only allowed to get one type of meat. I think the guacamole was probably the highlight of the meal and that was bland at best. The rice and refried beans also were just not very good. Overall, I don't think I would come again. read more
