Absolutely love this place! I have taken classes with Veronica and Melita and both of them are equally awesome! Hate how to studio is really tiny compared to most other places, and then the stupid beam in te middle! But the classes themselves are so good, I hate to take off a star for the studio! Completely run by the sisters, it's a great place to sweat off those calories! The studio, tho tiny, is very well maintained, the bathrooms too. The music is absolutely awesome, even tho I'm not a fan of Spanish/ Latino music! The moves are great - not too simple, but not overly complicated either! Love how the moves are so girly too! :):) The fact that they give you a key chain card is again awesome! Will Continue coming here :):) way to go girls! read more

If your brother comes to you and says "OMG, we should go to Zumba together! It's sooooo much fun"...wonder if he has just bought a multi-million dollar life insurance policy on you...because you're surely gonna die by the end of the class. Heh. A few lessons learned: 1) If you have no rhythm, don't dance, and think "eating competitions" is a legit sport...then you will look like one of the hippos from Fantasia in Zumba class. 2) Be prepared to collapse in hysterical laugher when you're doing some of the "suggestive" moves next to your brother...can we say "awkward" and "does my therapist work on Sundays?" 3) Bring water...not that you'll have time to drink any. But bring it anyways, so you can stare at it longingly. 4) The studio is hidden away BEHIND the Citibank. I drove around for 10 minutes thinking this was going to be a Harry Potter at the train station thing, where I need to stand between the 13th and 14th platform to get to the 13 1/2 platform or something. It's basically like that. Only, it's behind the Citibank (on the side that's away from the patio furniture store). 5) Get there 15 minutes early...the studio is kinda small and it fills up fast, so if you want a "good spot" get there early. 6) What is a "good spot" you ask? Well, we were there with my brother's incredibly fit and gorgeous friend who evidently Zumbas EVERY DAY (yeah, if she wasn't so nice and so much fun, I would hate her) and she wanted a spot *up close*. TRUST...that is NOT a "good spot". A "good spot" is not up front with all the other super fit and Zumba-pros up front...because you'll look even worse than you think you you do. A "good spot" is near one of the fatties that are hiding in the back corner. Trust me, you want to hang out with them, because you won't feel *quite* so out of shape and clumsy. Heh. I know, I'm a horrible human being...but I'm the fatty you want to stand next to so you'll look super fit and pro. 7) No matter how fit you think you are...you are NOT fit enough for Zumba. 8) The instructors here are SUPER perky. You will feel like killing them about 10 minutes into your class when you're sure that you're about to have a heart attack. Here's a pro-tip...you will be so exhausted at that point that you won't be able to lift your arms to strangle them. HAHA!I kid, the instructors are actually ridiculously nice...just too damned perky when I'm that tired. 9) If you're a single guy and you want to meet some hot girls...forget about OKCupid, or speed-dating or going to the grocery store on Saturday mornings. You want to get into this Zumba class. Sure, about 1/3 of the class were old and total fatties like me...but the other 2/3 were some *gorgeously* fit ladies. And you can check out how well they move without coming off like a creeper. I'm just sayin'. 10) After you're done, head across the street to Jumbo Jumbo for a bubble tea and popcorn chicken. Trust, it's crucial. All joking aside, this was a cute little studio, and it was incredibly fun and friendly. My only wish was that the instructors would have done more repititions with some of the moves. It seemed like every time I mastered one move...they would then move onto something totally different. I'm told there is one instructor who is better about doing the repititions so you don't feel so lost every time they change a song, so maybe I'll update this review once I tried her out. read more

The past few Saturday mornings have been spent with Mourien for her 10:15 class. She's a great instructor - upbeat, motivating, definitely keeps the energy super high. There are a few songs that stay consistent between classes, but there's almost always a new song being introduced with new moves to learn. There's a few fans mounted throughout the room to keep it cool - it'll definitely heat up as the hour of hip shaking/booty-popping progresses! A small communal room in the back is available to store your jacket and other personal possessions, but I recommend to keep it simple and come with just your water bottle and keys. Classes are packed to the brim. There are times where I feel like I can't commit fully to a particular dance sequence in fear of ramming into someone or accidentally whacking another Zumba-nite's arm! read more

I've never taken another Zumba class, so maybe my opinions are a little skewed. I wanted to let you know this before you determine my credibility. That being said, OHMIGOSH this place is AMAZING!! I've never had such a good workout! I had heard that a lot of Latin Zumba classes were a little boring/slow/catered to the "slowest" person in the class. Well, this is NOT that kind of place. All of the classes I've taken have been intense. I'm sweaty within the first 10 minutes of class, and feel as though I've gotten a great workout after every single class. Even though they do a lot of the same dances so that you can learn the moves and feel comfortable with them, they do offer a few new dances or variations of the dances each time so that it's not the same boring routine every class. They also do a good job of making the class intense enough for those that can do it, but easy enough that those that can't don't feel slighted. The place is run by two sisters who are very nice. They remembered me from my first to second visit even though it was a full week apart. The classes are reasonably priced. And, they use a FULL hour! I really feel like I'm getting my money's worth for the workout. I would definitely try out a class or two, I'm certainly never going anywhere else! read more

I've been going to Studio Fiesta classes off and on for five years. I love the classes run by Veronica and Marilin the most. They have high energy but allow you to go at your own pace. If you wanna keep it low impact you can and if you wanna jump around that's cool too. There are people of all ages, body types, and dance skill levels at Studio Fiesta. Anyone can do this. 100% recommend Studio Fiesta!!! I'm a vivid runner but due to the cold weather I needed something indoors. I have been going this studio for the past 3 months and I love it here. Mourien kicks your kick with high intensity Zumba. Marilin kicks butt with awesome music and Zumba toning. I purchased the 20 classes/$99. I just had my "free trial" class that is offered on the Studio Fiesta web site and I will absolutely be back for more!! The class was a blast and definitely kicked my butt. I'm fairly fit, but was definitely sore the day after class. I liked that there was a wide range of age, shapes, sizes, and dancing abilities. The instructor was really motivated and made an effort to make sure the newbies were keeping up! You could definitely tell who the veterans of the class were that knew most of the dance moves already, and it will take a few classes to get a hang of them depending on how quickly you learn, but I still had a blast. The class was challenging but still went by very quickly and was lots of fun. I really like that you can schedule and pay for everything online--so convenient!! The studio is small, but the class wasn't overly crowded so it wasn't an issue for me. Everyone who works there is very friendly and welcoming. read more

I absolutely love the classes here! The teachers are fantastic and always full of energy. I was anxious coming in to my first class as I had never done Zumba before. The teacher just smiled and laughed, telling me to try to follow along but to really enjoy myself. After a few songs, I was already sweating through my shirt. The class really gets your heart racing! Even though I felt lost in the choreography, I still got a kickass workout that didn't even make me feel like I was working out at all. I took a class at their studio behind the Citibank. I've also gone to the happy hour classes at St. Jude's. The space there is bigger and it's great to see all the energy in the room. I love it! This Zumba studio is fantastic! I was hesitant to try out a new studio when I moved into the Bethesda area, because I had only ever attended classes at my university. I gave Studio Fiesta a try (only $5 for your first class) and fell in love! The instructors are always energized and enthusiastic, and they mix up the songs for each class so there's a nice variety of dances. I like the different styles of music we dance to as well: cumbia, hip-hop, soca, merengue, and salsa (to name a few). The website makes signing up for classes easy. It's best to get there about 10 min. before the start of the class, because some classes can be quite full. The studio is on the smaller side, but to me that makes the classes more personal. The sisters that own Studio Fiesta are both very nice and great instructors. Basically, I love this place, and I'm so happy that I found it. read more

I really like the 6:10 Monday Zumba class! And just for the class I would give 5 starts, but some other things should be improved. #1 overpriced... Just for 1 hour of Zumba class is 10usd, it should be 5! There nothing that special that makes 10usd being OK. #2 the place is pretty small and there is a wall in the middle that doesn't help the view specially for beginners that tend to stay in the back. #3 only one restroom! A few minutes before the class starts there is a line of girls waiting to change in that one restroom. If you don't get there early you might miss the beginning of the class! read more

Wow! what a great surprise this place was! I work just a few stores down and decided to check this place out after getting a coupon for a free session. I was a little intimidated at first because I have no dance experience at all, and am kind of tall and awkward; but after a little while you really just don't care. There were other women who had just as little experience as I did and it really is just about having fun and getting a good workout. It is pretty fast paced, but no one is there pressuring you to really keep up, so you can take it at your own pace and you don't need to really get all of the steps. It was tons of fun and a really great workout. Kind of a small space, but that is what you get in the Kentlands. A great atmosphere, instructors with great attitudes, and not the most expensive place to work out, but definitely the most fun and rewarding! read more

I'm frankly puzzled by the rave reviews about this place. I went to my first class today and I probably won't patronize their studio again. A couple of thoughts: 1) I paid the drop-in price of $10 (double the rate for Studio X), despite it being my first visit. When I mentioned the free trial class, the girl at the front (one of the owners) claimed they had only offered that when the studio first opened, which as the below reviews can attest to, is clearly not the truth. Had I known about this supposed change in policy I would have done one of the online deals instead. 2) The owner then tried to sell me their 20 class/$99 package, which has a 3-month expiration date. Are you kidding me? I've being to a lot of studios (dance, zumba, yoga, etc) and that's the shortest time allotted for a 20 class package. Usually it's 6 months, and often a year. They're apparently also running a membership special, except if you read the fine print there's a $30 enrollment fee. Why? Either build that into your total cost or don't charge it at all. 3) The BIG HONKIN' COLUMN smack dab in the middle of the studio. That is a laughably terrible setup, and makes it difficult to see the instructor and/or move if you are in one of the impacted spots. 4) The instruction itself is decent but nothing special. I had the late-afternoon instructor (don't know her name, but not one of the sisters) and while she was enthusiastic and interacted well with the students, her choreography wasn't too interesting and was frequently repetitive. There's only so many variations on grapevine + clappy hands I can do. Based on the fantastic reviews I would have thought the instruction would be awesome, but it's pretty dime-a-dozen, even for zumba. TL;DR version: ordinary classes, slightly shady business practices, and poor location makes it a no for me. read more

I take Zumba classes in 4 locations, including Studio Fiesta, so I can compare & contrast: Each teacher /location has its own style. There is the teacher who leans more towards the old-style high impact aerobic classes, another teacher who is more hip-hop and keeps the lights low, so it feels like a party AND "safe" if you are self-sonscious. At Studio Fiesta. Marilin and Veronica teach the most strenuous classes compared to all of the ones I attend. They also make it a point to make contact with students and smile encouragingly. I love the way they move! So it is always motivational to watch and imitate them. But they do keep it simple enough for a clutz like me to learn the moves. Very high intensity!!! I love Zumba and I love that each teacher brings her own personality, but I have a soft spot for Studio Fiesta because they are friendly, and I always feel welcomed and like they appreciate their customers. I see kids now and then, and they fit right in. read more

I went to Studio Fiesta just once and I immediately knew I was hooked. I purchased a membership on my first visit and have been going every day ever since. The instructors are fabulous, the music is hot, and the moves are sexy! I leave not only having completed an amazing workout, but feeling confident and strong. This place is literally my JAM. I have always been a person who could eat whatever they want and not get fat, so working out was never a big priority to me. However being 3 years out of college, that is not the case anymore... I've had gym memberships & found myself going only when it's warm outside, Then I started to realize how boring gym equipment was and I started getting less motivated. I decided this needs to change so I thought a group fitness class would do the trick! After searching google for Zumba classes this place popped up. I took a free class, what they offer to all first time members and I fell in love!!! This place is exactly what it's called "Fiesta!" it's one big workout PARTY! This is a fantastically run independently-owned small business. Not to mention, the zumba classes are a BLAST! I've had classes from Veronica (one of "the sisters), Melita, and Mourien, all of whom were amazingly talented and very encouraging. There is basically no way you can go to a Studio Fiesta class and not dance your ass off! The classes are very reasonably priced, and there is a discount if you buy several in a package deal. When you sign up for your first class online, they give you a keychain card that keeps track of everything. All you have to do is login online, sign up for a class, and then swipe your card as you walk in the door! So so so convenient. read more

I had done zumba before coming to Studio Fiesta and always thought it was a little meh -- not challenging or fun enough for me. Studio Fiesta is different. Classes are intense, high energy, and FUN -- I always leave with a smile on my face. The instructors are legit and friendly. I consistently get a great workout. I love this place! I have been looking for gym for years that offer zumba class, when I moved to North Bethesda. But none of them fit my need. Then I googled the zumba in this area,, Studio Fiesta showed up. Glad I gave a try! The teachers are very friendly, made you feel welcoming every time! I love Mariela's class best! For some reason, I can pick up her steps much easier. I love two sisters classes as well. Compare with the classes I took from other places, This is my best choice. I am glad they offer class at 7:20pm, as that is the only time during the week I am available. The only cons is the place is constraint. sometimes it is harder to see the instructors move with a lot of people front. But that was rare... They do offer membership month by month but also offer package for 10 or 12 classes. I usually buy the 12 classes (for 3 months use) at a good price. They also offer auto enroll, which is a plus. This class ROCKS the sisters are the most friendliest girls you can ever meet! They even remembered my name. The moves help tone your body even if you are a beginner you work at your own pace. Love it. Veronica is an awesome instructor - she never stops smiling and keeps the moves fast and fun. It's a tiny little out of the way place, but its getting more and more popular. So there's less free space but better energy :). I wish they turned the lights off like at studio x, but I like the people and moves better here. Plus it's walking distance from the Rockville metro. I've never taken a Zumba class before, and I'm no dancer, so I can't necessarily speak to the technical dance part of this. However, as a beginner looking for an awesome, fun, and challenging workout in a comfortable environment, I can tell you that this place is FANTASTIC! I absolutely love both of the instructors/owners, they're so sweet and welcoming. The classes are great for any fitness level - the instructors really keep the energy in the room up and the classes are challenging, but it's also easy to adapt the routines for your own personal fitness level. I always feel challenged, but I never feel lost or unable to keep up, despite my fairly low fitness level, a bum knee, and no dance experience. :) There's always a wide variety of students in each class, too, from people who obviously know how to dance to beginners like me just looking for a good, fun workout - I never feel self conscious in the studio! I know there are other instructors besides the owners (Marilyn and Veronica), but I've never tried one of the other instructors courses before. I have such a great time with Marilyn and Veronica, I think I'll stick with them! read more

The moves were too complicated, the studio (considering how much a membership costs) was waaaaaay too crowded, and frankly, I didn't have HALF as much fun or get as good of a workout as I do at Studio Fiesta. The studio s great! I hate working out and this has been a great replacement where I can exercise, burn calories and have fun. The calsses are one hour and the time passes really fast. I have lost 7lbs from doing one class per week for 5 weeks and my girlfriend lost 15lbs. The sisters who own the studio are very friendly. I was at an evening class with a different instructor and wasn't as intense as with the sisters. I love their energy and choreography, which is really easy to follow considering how difficult is for me to follow direction. read more

I lost the six inches I needed to fit into my wedding dress going to Studio Fiesta about 3-4 days a week. All the instructors are energetic and have great music. I tried out Studio Fiesta with a groupon deal. I have tried three different instructors. All were equally skilled and I really enjoyed each of the classes so far. The location is good, studio is somewhat small but kept clean. The fans are placed well to keep the air moving. The only drawback was the support beam in the middle of the floor. It blocks the view of the teacher depending on where you stand. Otherwise great classes, good location and ample parking. Very friendly and helpful staff. read more

I just joined Studio Fiesta 2 weeks ago for my post pregnancy work outs and after attending about 10 classes I have already started to see some dramatic results. I have taken both the Zumba and the Zumba toning classes and have experienced classes taught by all of the instructors. Both Zumba and Zumba toning are great..i actually enjoyed the Toning class more because it forces you to keep your arms in constant motion whereas in the regular Zumba I get lazy working out my arms to the fullest. I am completely satisfied with Studio Fiesta and would recommend it to people of all ages and all sizes. All of the instructors are motivating and they are all super fun and non judgmental when you mess up or go at your own pace. I think that is most important because I used to attend a different Zumba studio in the area and they would call you out if you weren't getting the moves or keeping up with their pace, which made the experience somewhat frightening. Studio Fiesta is the complete opposite-- They are all a ton of fun and they like to introduce new music on the regular. The prices are extremely reasonable.I am done trying out new Zumba studios and I will definitely keep going to Studio Fiesta for my Zumba work outs! read more

I purchased the groupon for 30 days at SF and went to my first class this past Saturday. I had read the raving reviews and was looking forward to a great class and was not disappointed! My first class was with Andrea and it was full of such high energy mixed with all different genres that made the hour absolutely fly by. I realized during the class how out of shape I was because I was instantly out of breath. The routines are simple enough though that you can relax it down and go at your own pace for if you do get tired. However, powering through and giving it your all is much more fun. I left the class and immediately registered for a class the next day. Needless to say, I woke up the next morning and was crazy sore all over that I canceled, BUT am planning on "trying" to go as many days in a row as possible to get the best results that I can. And then will definitely get a monthly membership. There are lots of reviews that comment on how small the studio is (which it is), but I never felt cramped or that I needed to limit my movement to keep from running into anyone. 100% recommend Studio Fiesta! Bonus: If you do purchase the 30-day groupon, your first class is still free so the 30 days begin after your 2nd class. read more
