Y'all know how much I love supporting small businesses, so it's time I wrote a review for one of my local favs, Fiesta Guadalajara. Surprisingly enough, there are quite a few Mexican restaurants in town that we enjoy, but Fiesta Guadalajara definitely ranks among the top-tier! Love the ambiance, their food is always fresh and delicious and the service is almost too attentive...in a good way of course! ;-) You've got to try their Carne Asada! Believe me, your tastebuds will thank you...they are tender, juicy and so flavorful! Looking for vegetarian options? Don't worry...they've got you covered with a variety of delicious dishes! Don't leave without sipping on one of their tasty and refreshing margs...so good! Highly recommend! I love everything here. The enchiladas are amazing green or red. Take your pic chili Riano's. They're the best. Anything that you want. They even have American burgers. The staff is always helpful. You're always nice. The only time you have to wait is if it's really, really busy which that happens at lunchtime other than that it's The best food in town read more

A lady at the place we are staying suggested we give this place a try and we are so glad we did. The food was delicious. The restaurant was very clean including bathrooms and the service was fast and friendly. The chip and salsa was very good. Now a word to the wise the salsa has some heat to it. I loved it but wife said it was a tad too hot. My wife and I both had the taco salads with ranchero sauce along with queso fundido. This is a restaurant we will eat at again before we leave for home. read more

What a nice surprise at my Mother's Day dinner, flower and Drink on the house. It's the little things that make us feel special. We have been eating here for years. The service and the food is always excellent! We share the carne asada tacos and have a cold Modelo . Probably the worst so called Mexican Food I ever forced myself to eat. Was disgusting, Dried out old meat, disguised under a mound of onions and peppers. Cheapest food ingredients you could imagine. Should come with a barf bag. Owner should be ashamed, but obviously not, with this fake restaurant scam he is running. read more

Driving through Montrose, lunchtime. We are continuing to take Covid precautions, so we want outdoor dining. We search Yelp for restaurants with outdoor dining. We choose another Mexican restaurant, but their patio is closed (on a gorgeous day!) and won't serve us outside. So we search again and find Fiesta Guadalajara. We call to confirm outdoor dining, answer is Yes! We arrive, they set up tables for us )and one minute later, for another party). Shortly after we were seated they formed on traditional Mexican tunes, which added to the dining experience. Amazing menu, too many choices. Great draught beer list. Obviously many Mexican choices. We are served chips with the best salsa I've ever had! We order guacamole, vegetarian enchiladas, and I get a beer. Each item is excellent. Great service up to the end when it took awhile to get our check. Don't know how that other Mexican restaurant came up above Fiesta Guadalajara! Highly recommended. read more

Ordered lunch and had Door Dash deliver. Food was cold and soggy, no eating utensils, no napkins. I called and asked to speak with the manager and was told he was not available. I explained I was at work and how my food arrived and was told the food was ready at 11:30. I didn't get my food til 12:27 and it arrived cold , Soggy, and with nothing to even eat it with. Delightful shredded chicken tacos for lunch. I requested soft corn torts and they were perfectly softened. Lots of chicken. Ask for extra salsa. Chips were fresh fried and the salsa was tasty. Friendly service. read more

Just okay. Nice reception once inside, and the wooden booths were warm clean and inviting. Service, beer selection, and chips & salsa were very good, while the main dishes were just mediocre. I had the fajitas and it wasn't what it should've been - sizzling, flavorable skirt steak. Instead it was more like those soupy strips of gray beef you find in Chinese food - i.e., no char, no bits of blackened onions. It was more like reheated chuck steak. Fajita accompaniments (guacamole, onions, peppers, etc) were all precooked and reheated, not fresh. For $18 it should be better than that. The tortillas were soft and fresh. Rice & beans were decent and flavorful. I'd rank it below Amelia's or Tacos & Beer for food quality, and more expensive than either too. . Not worth a try. read more

I'm not sure if management reads these reviews but I want it to be out there: if you order the Pescado Dorado, please know that it is a whole fish so bone-in! It is not in the description of the dish and I was not warned. We had just come from an evening hike and wanted to get a relatively quick bite. I was okay with building my own tacos, but I had to remove the meat from the fish and also worry about bones. I'm from out of town so there's a chance I just may not have known this is how fried fish is served here, but it might not be the worst idea for management to add in a little verbal or written disclaimer for the people that order this in the future. read more

This place was great and the service was excellent, excellent, excellent - I only wish I had gotten the servers name so I could give a shout out (Lunch June 29th). We had 6 people in our party and she was able to provide recommendations and adaptations to the menu to satisfy the kids. Always good though they can be busy. Their lunch is really good due to the fact you can get the lunch buffet or order off the lunch menu. The enchiladas or pretty tasty and of course the chips and salsa are a treat. Try the lunch menu chicken fajitas. Very disappointed in my lunch yesterday. My friend and I were both served the wrong meals. When I told the waitress I had the wrong meal, she actually took the plate from the man behind me, that she had just served, and gave it to me saying that was my plate... which it was, but really??? And during COVID??? Never once did she apologized to both of us for serving the wrong meals. We have always enjoyed our meals here before, but this waitress ruined our lunch. The building was very clean and organized. It did not feel too crowded. The atmosphere was very welcoming and the staff were all friendly. We were seated in the back, and they actually had power outlets with different chargers for your phone which was super convenient. The menu was large; however, it was well organized and easy read. We first ordered drinks, we all margaritas. The margaritas were fantastic. You could tell they weren't pre mixed up. It was the perfect balance between the tequila and other ingredients. You could taste and see the quality within each food item. I had ordered the carne asada , medium rare, and it surpassingly was done right. At most Mexican restaurants they just cook it well done so it was awesome to have it done the way I enjoy it! My boyfriend had the burrito and chile relleno. It was actually packed with chicken instead of fillers. Another awesome aspect was the chips and salsa got refilled without you even asking! There was a boy walking around ready to refill and there was not even an extra charge for it! Overall it was an amazing experience. I enjoyed my visit. It's hard to come by good authentic Mexican food, and I am happy I got a taste of it as I visited Colorado. read more

This used to be my "go to" Mexican restaurant in Montrose. Had lunch there today and they have gone way downhill. Service was bad that I had finished my meal before my second beer arrived. Food was marginally edible, and the presentation was not pretty. I requested no rice so the plate was covered with beans wetting my taco making it fork only which was okay since it was only filled with hamburger, I ate it with chips & salsa. If i had wanted nachos i would have ordered that. read more

Not good! Just your usual Mexican/American bland food. Chicken tacos were dry and tasteless. Just a bunch of lettuce and beans and the usual. It seems some restaurants think that the more food you give your customers the better it is, it's not! It's the quality of food. I paid $50 for a mexican dinner with two friends, I would have been better off going to Quadoba at least it tastes like something. Will never go there again! read more

I set up a reservation for me and 10 family members, so I knew from the get-go we were asking a lot of Fiesta Guadalajara. I called to say our group was going to be late by 10 minutes (it was a fiasco trying to get all 11 of us to the theatre to see Les Mis, and then to get us to the restaurant in 10 minutes after the show let out? forget it!), and the hostess who answered the phone was super polite, upbeat and said it would not be a problem. We were seated quickly, drinks were prompt, and orders were taken. I really enjoyed the carne asada dinner I ordered.... and I think my grandpa wished he had ordered the same thing! The steak was perfectly (thinly) sliced. As always, I grade mexican restaurants on three items: the beans, rice and tortillas... the only room for improvement is the tortillas. But for the area, I think this is the type of tortillas the locals are used to. I will have to say I am a bit biased coming from Texas, and generally growing up with excellent tortillas in my life. The tortillas here are just a bit too rubbery for my tastes... but since everything else was so good, and based on its proximity away from mexico, I decided to maintain a 5-star rating for Fiesta Guadalajara. The portion sizes here were fantastic--- you would be hard-pressed to get this much food (and on such large and beautiful plates) anywhere else for the price! All of the food was served at nearly the same time (for a table of 11, that is huge!). Staff was very friendly and attentive. Even when my family was fighting over who is going to pay the bill, they were very accomodating! This is an EXCELLENT place for large-group dinners. They were able to comfortably fit two or three large groups in the restaurant at the same time as our large group. Parking did not seem to be too much of an issue. read more

The new location is open! I was not overly keen on FG since the last few times I was there it was "meh" but we decided to try the new location tonight and, well, I don't know if it's the new decor, new equipment or a new chef, but the food was pretty damned good. Good enough I actually finished my dinner and now feel like a tick about to pop. Will I crave FG when I leave Montrose? Probably not. Will it serve as a decent Mexican place while I'm here? I have eaten in restaurants all over Mexico and have learned to cook Mexican food from my many Mexican friends. This restaurant has the worst food ever. I have tried it a few times hoping it would get better but it disappoints every time. I ordered mole enchiladas and the mole sauce was a teaspoon of watered down mole barely sprinkled over the enchiladas and it had no flavor. Mole is supposed to be thick and rich with a lot of flavor but this was not. Very disappointing. I will not go back. Montrose has some good Mexican restaurants but this is not one of them. read more
