My friend and I went for lunch and it did not disappoint. we sat at the bar and I ordered the Berria tacos, the fried volcano shrimp, the mahi and the alambre tacos. I like everything but the Alambre. My friend ordered the cherry desert which was good. For the margarita I ordered a special flavor mix that I don't remember but it was really good. Spicy raspberry something. Our waiter I don't remember his name any longer was very attentive and helpful; so were the others. I would definitely recommend this place after hitting the slopes for lunch or dinner or dinner. And don't forget to visit the cute polar bear on the way in. read more

While the staff was very helpful and fun, the burrito I ordered was just awful. I ordered a burrito with grilled shrimp and cheese on top (both extra). What I got was a cold burrito that was somehow STUCK to the plate. The huge burrito itself was filled with mostly black beans and pico de gallo and FOUR little shrimp that were boiled, not grilled and had little taste. The tortilla they used was overized so there was a LOT of tortilla to get through to get to the innards. Other than the onion in the pico, there was little taste. The "cheese" on top was a cold, solidified mass. No one came by to see if everything was right, even when I tried to wave them down. Just awful for $31. I was craving some Chipotle but this place slope-side at Steamboat hit the spot! The burrito bowl with carnitas was super tender and flavorful as it came, but you can further customize it with any of like a dozen proteins they use for their tacos, too. The house margarita was banging too and they had ample seating inside and out on their patio. Service is order at the bar and they deliver to your table. Tunes were upbeat and jammin, too. Cool Apres ski vibe. Food was nothing extraordinary. Wasn't in love with the fact that there's a sign that says they have no bathrooms. Seems odd especially if you're eating there. Great place if you only want a drink and maybe a snack. Very limited menu. Order at the bat and food is brought to you. Soft drinks sold by the bottle. No real table service. If you need another beer, walk up to the bar. That said it has good outdoor seating with nice views. If I wanted a cold beer and a plate of nachos to share, it's a good choice. read more

Basing my review on two tacos, both of which were pretty solid. Ordering was easy and didn't take long around 2:30pm. There's a good party atmosphere inside, and lots of heaters outdoors- so this desert rat could eat outside for a change. Service is friendly and efficient. No happy hour in the winter but they have a decent margarita selection; can't comment on quality since I didn't try those. Overall a decent place. Summer of 2021 they look like there might be come renovation/construction. Walk up order at the bar. We got take out. Very limited seating. A few tables on the patio. No indoor seating when we went. The bartender that took care of us (order drink and food) was AMAZING! Didn't catch his name. He was doing everything and doing it exceptionally well. Margs are premixed but good. Chips and salsa was a hit (especially for $3!). Burrito was filling. Rice bowls were ok. Be sure to ask for the mixed vegetables on the rice bowls. The food is heavenly. Over a week, we tried quesadilla with various stuffing. Every version was soooooo good. My fav is ground beef- it's red oily spicy and super appetizing. Still just ok food. We got tacos and nachos to go today and took it down to the beach and honestly I think the food is just slopped together. We had tacos that just fall apart as you eat them because they don't double up on tortillas and the cone disintegrated under the very wet meat. My husband had a burrito with grilled chicken and it was huge. He liked it, but I thought it was too heavy on the rice and just a bit underwhelming. I ordered the fried fish taco and the fried shrimp taco. Both were good but the fried shrimp is where it's at! A little spicy and just so so good!! This is our favorite place to go when we are done skiing at the base of the mountain. The food and drinks are great.

We were seated right away around 8pm on a Friday of Labor Day weekend. We ordered the grilled mahi tacos and blackened tuna tacos along with some nachos. The grilled mahi taco was just extremely oily... like oil would drop out during each bite. Otherwise, the seasoning was perfect. Tuna tacos were delicious but it was a little too bland. Nachos were ok... the cheese was too watery to it all was congregated at the bottom of the plate and not on the chips, there was barely any guac on top. Very overpriced food & drinks, for what you get but it was convenient for us for a late night dinner without having to drive very far. I also noticed that they leave open jugs of water on the same table as the table cleaners and rags. I thought that was extremely unsanitary esp during this time. I def recommend them separating the water jugs from the cleaners (at least put them on different tables). read more

Used to be awesome! This was my go to spot when I got in town. They've done some renovations and a menu change and I'm very disappointed. My quesadilla which was $10 without protein was tiny, it looked like maybe a small kids portion. And I can't think of cheaper, simpler menu item to perfect. This was the biggest disappointment. Not sure why the shrimp volcano tacos, a popular favorite, changed, but they were burnt and chewy. And then the fresh and delicious chips were replaced with slightly burnt seasoned weirdness. Whatever happened to some simple salted chips? Basically the changes have made this place no longer cost effective or fun. Paramount had fun music and atmosphere next store. I recommend them! I was excited to see a new space and some cool menu changes but this place has gone the way of so many establishments in this location, charging more for a lesser item. Very good tacos near the base of the ski resort. No frills simple order on your own at the bar for the food and drinks and they serve it to u when ready. The staff is very friendly and the tacos come out super fast. The tacos were on average about $4 to $5 each and were very tasty. I got the steak asada, mahi and tinga chicken and we got a side of chips and guacamole for the group. The chips and guac were average but I inhaled my tacos. They're small but meaty and tasty and I was full from the 3. I didn't order any drinks but it seemed they had a good variety. My buddy swore by the shrimp volcano tacos so maybe next time I'll try those. Good place to visit. read more

This was the worst Mexican I've ever had. The burrito bowl was mostly rice with salsa on top. I would call this a flavored rice bowl, not a burrito. The margaritas were equally bad and the staff was not friendly. We asked for less ice in the margarita, the bartender removed 2 ice cubes and put the drink in a much smaller glass. Seriously. I was warned time and time again how NO ONE can fulfill a Texan's need for tacos outside of Texas. Lies. This place nailed it. I've had the (unknowingly kids menu) beef tacos, Piccadillo taco, & blackened chicken taco. Each was delicious. I tracked .02 miles in the snow and wind to get here. So worth every step. Queso is okay...I'm super picky about my queso. For all my Austin friends: Kirby, Magnolia, and Torchy's are on the top of my list. Salsas are yummy. Los Locos has been pretty solid in the past, but when the menu offers burritos or enchiladas smothered in green chili, and charges extra for it, they really should know what green chili means in Colorado and New Mexico and should not be confusing (or intentionally passing off) tomatillo or verde salsa as green chili.
