This store is fantastic!!! I came in here for some pan (conchas) for my mother. Their panaderia is awesome. It is self-serve and you have to put the bread on a tray. Then bring it to the panaderia cash register to pay. I got confused the first time I was here because I didn't know there was a separate cash register. The ladies who work there are always so friendly. Great produce selection. I love all the Mexican products especially the laundry powder (I love just smelling it) and the variety of nopales. My husband went crazy over the fresh chicharones at the hot bar. Haven't tried the tamales but the looked pretty good. Also their refrigerated aisle of Mexican queso holy cow! I am in queso heaven. I wish I could give it negative 4 stars. Racially Profile Market should be the name of this overpriced low grade meat store. I was in tonight to pick up a few items, literally 5 items. After picking up my items, I walked to the checkout. Stood patiently behind a Hispanic couple who maybe had 40-45 items, the cashier rang their items, and they left. Next was my turn. I literally had three packs of meat, and two items from the deli. When the cashier began to ring my items one of the other ladies literally walked over, stood across from me and watched the checkout lady ring all of my items. Once my items were all rang, she then walked away. So I'm thinking, maybe they do this periodically to ensure the cashiers are scanning all items. I began to grab my bags when I noticed two young Hispanic guys were in line behind me who also had several items in their cart. So, I waited to see if she was going to walk over and watch to make sure all 40-45of their items were ranged properly, she did not. She was chitchatting with her coworker. I was furious, so I walked to her and asked her "are you going to watch because you watched while my few items were being scanned, but you're not going to watch while 40 to 45 items of his are being scanned, nor did you watch the couple in front of me who had 30 to 45 items being scanned, she literally dismissed what I said, and turned around and continue to chat with her coworker. I will never return to this place again. This has happened to me before, and I assumed it was because I had hot food from the deli and maybe they want to make sure it's scanned properly, but they racially profile anyone who is not Hispanic, do not shop at this store until they learn to treat all people the same, because all of our money spends the same. read more

Overall good chain that I can always depend on. This location is definitely neatly kept and well organized. Only thing I would say they can improve on is perhaps separating the bakery a bit more or a little easier to get around. The layout now kinda creates a traffic jam with the store portion so that's the only real ding against them. Large Hispanic market, part of a national chain; this is a particularly nice location (though the parking lot was mobbed on a week-end!) Easily navigable even for those not native to the culture, and while I will admit it was a bit jarring that a huge sign for "Pork Spine" on sale was the first thing I saw when I walked up to the building, if you ever shop anywhere other than a Jewel (any kind of ethnic market -- Asian, Mexican, Indian), you will not have any problems. Explore! Find cool stuff like caramel syrup made with goat's milk. Spice up your life with spicy sauces. Sick of earl grey? Try Jamaica tea made with dried hibiscus. Look for Mexican hot chocolate brands (Ibarra! Abuelita!). Or, rather than just looking for unusual items, do all your grocery shopping here. On a Saturday ladies with samples crowded the ends of the aisles, so if you're looking for a more leisurely shopping experience, come on a week-day. I didn't think the produce was so hot, but could have just been the day, or the items I wanted. Overall, whether you're trying a Rick Bayless recipe and need those authentic ingredients, or just gotta get your Goya, this is a great store to do so. read more

What a great store!! Sorry, but I had to get that out first. There fresh products selection is huge. Meat department what a selection from pork to beef in whole pieces or they have it already chopped and seasoned ready to cook. My wife and I usually go to Mexican grocery stores and only buy certain items we can't find your traditional stores because usually near everything is over priced. I was pleasantly surprised to see they had plenty of sales and competitive pricing. I must admit some items were a bit high, but I felt with the amount of sale items and fresh produce on sale that it broke even. The staff were professional and courteous. One more thing "The Bakery!! I like this store but when I inquired about what they do with spotted, or Imperfect fruit they said they throw it away. I'm not talking about spoiled fruit. I asked them if they would sell it for a discount they said no. I talked to Peter. I also asked if they would give their employees a discount to buy it or let them have it. He also said no. I think customers need to stand up to their grocery stores for change. To be fair I think they probably don't sell it because they are afraid of customers complaints if they say got sick or maybe think the public will think the food they sell this is not high quality. But we talking about produce here.I am not talking about meat or dairy. We are talking produce. And some grocery stores do have a discount counter for produce. I went to this store around 4:40 p.m. today for some lemons. While I was in line, I overheard the cashier Jayleen(not sure on spelling) ask a customer, if he had a rewards card. I was next in line and when I approached her, I asked her about the rewards card. She then proceeded to give me the whole rundown on how the rewards card works. I did notice earlier when standing in line that, she was yawning so, it was obvious that she was tired but, this girl went out of her way to explain the rewards card to me without an attitude. This little Mexican grocery chain is worth a visit if you are a resident of the 'burbs. Yes, there is a Walmart one light down from here where you can get everything at rock bottom prices! Yes, there is a Meijers with competitive prices. Oh? You're too fancy to shop at anything less than a Jewel-Osco? I get it. But where else can you find weekly deals on meats and produce? My recent visit, I was able to purchase 5 lbs of chicken breasts at $1.48/ lb and 2 lbs of bistec para asar(grilling beef steak) at $4.25/lb. Excellent quality meats, right from the butcher counter, with a multitude of different cuts and choices to select from. If you don't know how you would want to season your meats, there is also a large selection of pre-seasoned meats you can choose from. The staff, while minimal English is spoken, are helpful, kind, and chatty. The produce here are fresh, crisp, and inexpensive. You will never find a limp green bean or broccoli in their bins. read more

I love Fiesta Market! The produce selection is the best in the area and I really like the full-service meat section. The produce is top-notch and the selections are huge! Best fresh veggies and fruit in the Bolingbrook area! Prices are reasonable. The meat counter is fully staffed and you can get whatever you are looking for packaged up by order, by your specifications. It is a Mexican style market... which is why I like it soo much. Fresh produce, full-service butcher shop and bakery. I am glad they are part of the Bolingbrook community. Friendly, helpful staff. For me, it is a niche market, I buy meat, fruit, and vegetables there because they totally surpass what is available at the "big stores" ... Today i went to the store, in deli department and ask for a medium container of kalamata olives. One of the guys who work there start serving me and he put the olives with the juice in the container and weight on the scale !!! I mean hellooo , you not supose to charge me for the olives juice, put the kalamata in the container weight them on the scale and then put the juice in the container if i want to. That's mean what that i have 10 olives in the container and the rest is juice???? A little disappointed with one of the cashiers my husband (who is French) likes to practice his Spanish and decided to talk to a young lady (petite and chubby) and she was surprised and rude to tell my husband "you are WHITE! You are not supposed to talk in Spanish!" She was not joking, which surprised me, because she was annoyed at the fact that my husband was speaking in Spanish and since she was speaking Spanish to the customers in front of us, we didn't think it would be an issue for her. I had never been insulted and my husband was shocked and felt badly. I was ready to speak to a manager, but my husband thought it was best to ignore her. Next time I will file a complaint. read more

Since I live in Bolingbrook I thought I had to check this place out. I usually shop at Food 4 Less or Meijer, but I though, hey it might be cheaper and have more choices. About half way through my shopping experience I had to stop myself from making excuses as to why I should spend so much more money. If I had thought to write this review a month ago I would be giving it 5 stars... I used to come every week to get my supply of avocados and mangos (both 2/$1!!!) plus some other odds and ends. Recently though, the prices have gone up and I'm not sure it's worth an extra trip. However, the times I gotta have that certain kind of cheese or crema or dried pepper or whatever, this will definitely remain my favorite "market." For a small time grocery chain this place is pretty good. They have a decent bakery that bakes on the spot and they have a fair amount of ready made food that isnt bad. Its also pretty organized. The prices are very reasonable too. I usually shop at Whole Foods but some of the fruits they have are organic and are like 1/4 the price of the ones at whole foods. You definitely get bang for your buck at fiesta. Also the cashier was super cute and friendly. read more

For affordability and quality, I suggest staying on the perimeter of the store, which includes the produce, the deli, the bakery, and the dairy section although some items in the dairy section are a little pricey. I love the produce because of its freshness, you also find great deals at certain times. One thing my family loves and looks for everytime in the back of the produce section is their tubs of guacamole, its creamy and as a nice spicy kick. Now the middle aisles you will find some good products that are affordable but in comparison to the bigger chains that have more variety, the chains have the edge. Now for the bakery, the Mexican bread or "pan dulce" is delicious, great with your morning coffee or a tall glass of milk. The deli and meat market have a large selection of items to choose from and the prices are comparable to the big chains, but there are times you can find good specials. Overall I think this a clean and well run store, I shop here often and will continue to do so. read more

They would have gotten 5 stars, however the past 2 months the quality of their produce has declined drastically. But, the meat is defenatly good quality and affordable. As well as their deli. We used to live about a mile from this location and never went there untill we moved to Romeoville. Now we drive the 15 minutes to shop their for produce and fresh Mexican pastries. Value wise they have great prices on very good produce fair prices on fresh baked goods and have a huge assortment of pre-cooked foods such as Mexican rice, meats Tamales and a huge variety of other goodies. Now the negative. I ran big box stores for many years. When I say big box I mean high volume superstores that did 80+ million per year in sales. My focus was always on the basics and NOTHING is more basic than cleanliness. When you first walk towards the store the entryway is a PIGSTYE that black crud all over the floor in the entryway is gum that either patrons or employees have spit out (employees in my experience are the main cause). The first impression is not good its actually pretty gross if you know what you are looking at. From their the place looks ok at best the floors are clean but nowhere near what you would expect from a modern well run grocery store in other words the floors aren't clean and shiny like at a Target or at Meijer. Now you may think that's not a big deal BUT the underlying concern here is if care isn't taken to keep what you do you see clean and shiny (on stage as we would say in the industry) then what aren't you seeing? In other words whats "offfstage" that is messy disorganized possibly violating health codes? You just never know. My last complaint is the patrons. I don't recommend going on a weekend when all the Mexicans are out. (and this is coming from someone who is a Mexican) The parking lot is a DISASTER they don't know how to park properly they tend to drop someone off to do the shopping while others wait in the car then blocking things up furthar, it just turns into "bario madness" It reminds me why I NEVER go into the Cicero or Joliet "inner" areas. Overall we do shop there at least twice a month. like I said produce and fresh baked pastry is EXCELLENT. For the most part the fresh made foods are good not great but not bad. Don't buy anything there that you would normally get at Aldi or Walmart as they will be more expensive there. UPDATE December 2012 The last few months have shown good and bad. The front entrance to the store has been cleaned to an acceptable level. We will see if they maintain it in the next few months. However I have had TWO bad experiences in the meat department. They had chopped steak for Fajitas on sale and it was TERRIBLE it had so much gristle in it that it was just disgusting. Secondly my wife bought some sausage were the label said "Polish Sausage" well that was SO F'n nasty that noone wanted it. I threw ALL of it away. It tasted and looked like Choriso. You can get ethnic foods like mexican and indian vegetables too. the price is alright maybe a bit cheaper on some items than meijer, but def cheaper than Jewel osco. I only go for vegetables and prefer organic fruits. I work nearby, so can run the errands at lunch time once a week. Cheaper produce and meat if you are in the area. read more
