We paid for the order and were given a receipt with a 4:30 PM pickup time. I got there at 4:30 PM today, picked up the rosca, and headed home. When I got home, we cut into the rosca and they gave me one with no cream which normally sells for $24.99 ($20 less than the one with cream). We took the rosca back, showed the guy behind the counter the receipt and the original rosca that he gave us, and he told us that we can come back at 7 PM to pick up the new rosca with cream. My wife and I went back at 7 PM and we were then told that the rosca was just being put in the oven and to come back at 8 PM to pick it up. We didn't want to deal with going back and forth anymore and asked for our money back and the gentleman behind the counter with a white earbud returned our money. No apologies were given at all! This place may not be the best looking market, or have all the bells and whistles, but it has always come through for me with most of the basic grocery essentials. My usual purchases were fruits, veggies, meats and chicken, salsas, and pastries. Every now and then, I'll grab hot food dish from their kitchen/deli. And, during emergency cases, I have bought milk, bread, cereals, sandwich meats. Truth be told, Walmart has taken over in that department now. The produce area is always kept stocked, organized and clean as with the other areas of the market. Although the isles are close quarters, there's room to move around should you use a shopping food cart. Staff are usually busy either stocking and organizing all areas or the store. Floor is also kept clean and free from potential safety issues. Almost forgot, fresh tortillas are made here at Farm Fresh. Overall, price is fair. Kitchen/deli should think about not raising their prices too high. Lastly, please don't compare Farm Fresh to Northgate or Manalos grocery store ...not fair.

When I saw the nice looking shop not too far from home I was excited. I have been to the store several times now and each time I was shocked how poor the customer service was. The employees do not get that customers walking in should be acknowledged and shown some courtesy. They sell $30 to $50 a pound meat and I think they want to be a premium shop, but they just don't know how to make a customer feel welcome. There does not seem to much product knowledge and the product case has a pretty small inventory. I feel that the employees really don't hear a word the customers say. I'm done complaining and I do want to say on my first trip there, I bought a Wagyu New York Strip and it was delicious.

This review is only for the meat market section…read more I've been coming here for literally decades, although it had been a while since my last visit. In the past, this was the place to go if you wanted that old-school butcher shop experience and some of the best carne asada around. Unfortunately, my visit yesterday was disappointing. The meat selection seemed mediocre compared to what I remember. The carne asada was cut into small pieces (around 6 inches across) and was already pre-marinated. Years ago, the cuts were much larger, making them easier to grill and far more visually appealing. Back then, if you wanted it marinated, they would do it fresh for about $1 more per pound. That level of service made a difference. The young man behind the counter also gave me the impression that he really didn't care about my concerns, which only added to the disappointment. After cooking it, the carne asada just wasn't the same. It seemed dry and lacked the flavor and quality I had always associated with this market. I'm willing to give them one more chance in case this was just an off day. But if my next experience is the same, it will unfortunately be my last visit.
