The space is super clean, aesthetic is giving, and the way they lay out all the pastries makes you want to grab one of everything without thinking twice. Now let's talk pricing... the cakes are a little on the pricey side for the size. They're pretty, but just be prepared. The pistachio matcha though? That's the star. So so good. Not overly sweet which I LOVE and the foam cream on top was smooth and dreamy. Also major points for having coconut milk and soy milk options. We love an inclusive queen. We grabbed donuts too and caught the buy two get one deal which felt like a win. Light, fluffy, filled just right. No complaints there. Customer service was... mid. The girls were deep in convo about their bad dates and whether they should text back or not. Lowkey entertaining but also like... can I order real quick lol. Located in the same plaza as Seafood City and Daiso, this clean and simple bakery offers beautiful and fresh pastries with popular, crowd-pleasing flavors. What caught my eye were the perfectly decorated cream donuts sitting safely in the pastry display case. The different flavors were: pistachio (say no more), ube cloud, mango, strawberry, chocolate and vanilla! My husband let me choose which one to get since he's a gentlemen. So we ended up getting the ube one. It wasn't super ube forward taste but a faint ube taste was present. The donut dough was nice and soft. I think mostly the presentation was enticing but the flavor was just ok. The milky cornet pie that my husband chose was better than the ube donut IMO. In fact, I wish we bought 4 of those things!!! The cream was delicious (reminds me of a super smooth and not too sweet custard) and the crust around it was so yummy. It was gone in three shared bites. Matcha was nothing mind-blowing but I do think they use a good quality matcha for their matcha latte drinks. We got the iced matcha latte and it was a refreshing afternoon drink to go along with the cornet pie. We also bought a bag of sliced bread and it was very good quality and taste. Prices are meh, kind of on the same price range one would expect for a barkery similar to 85°C. Overall, not a bad place to go to for a sweet tooth's needs and afternoon pick-me-up beverage. Really wanted to love this spot, I went in and filled out my entire tray with close to 10 items and had a coffee as well. My expectations were high, but so was my $$$ total. Overall good, but nothing you can't find anywhere else. ASA bakery for example is wayyyyyy better, and at same price range. The service was good, but I personally won't be seeking this place out but if I happen to be nearby and craving a pastry item, then maybe. Too overhyped sadly. read more

I picked up some almond croissant from this bakery. The croissants were very busy. Meaning they sure put a lot of extra ingredients all over the croissants. The croissant tasted very good. The almond paste inside was very good and the croissant was very buttery. Given it came with extra almond paste on top of the croissant, the croissant did lose its flakiness, which I missed. They have a lot of baked goods, pastries, and cakes here. They maximize their small space. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I did not know they offered coffees here, too. First, parking can be a little difficult. I would recommend as soon as you see a spot in their parking lot to take it! That being said it's a short walk from anywhere in the parking lot to the bakery. This French and inspired Korean bakery is a staple around the globe and it's nice to know that they have any location here in national city. As soon as you walk in, you're greeted warmly and you're welcome to freely shop around and grab as many pastries as you would like. There are some cakes that are behind the counter, that you have to ask for. Some of my favorites are the Ube bread, and the hot curry buns! I could probably eat a six pack of those ha ha. But this location changed my mind. I've really been liking the cloud bagels, bread loaves, and hot dog breads. The prices are still high but the quality is better and since it's closer to me I don't need to buy a lot bc I won't be back some time. I can come back again and try something new. I'm addicted to Tous Les Jours matcha, mocha, and the original bread with creme in the middle. It's so good with a cup of coffee. The coffee and matcha here is so delicious. Service is excellent and the place is so new and clean!! I am hoping they bring back more flavors of the bread with creme inside. That was my favorite! Checked this place out this morning and it's giving the same vibes as 85° and Paris Baguette -- grab-your-own pastries, super easy. The selection isn't as huge, but everything I tried was so good. They've got both sweet and savory options, which I love. I picked up the honeydew cream, chocolate croissant, beef-dog croissant, chocolate waffle, and the curry croquettes. Yes... croquettes! I instantly thought of Porto's. The curry one is a must-try -- the bun is crumbly and really flavorful. It's definitely a little pricey for pastries, but honestly they're worth a try. And I can already tell this is gonna be my new spot for cakes. They look amazing, and even though they're a bit overpriced, I love that they're not overly sweet. Totally worth it. read more

Wow ! A must try if you love pastries! Came with my buddies and we wanted to try a little bit of everything! They have all the foods laid out and you can pick the items! We started off with cranberry cream cheese bread & blue berry cream cheese bread. Both good but the better one was the blue berry. They had a cookie and croissant fused, called the croookie ! Very good ! They also had a moka cake. I highly recommend the mango cloud donut ! Filled with mango cream ! Chocolate avalanche we got also. They also have coffee & other special drinks. I didn't have the opportunity to visit the store but was fortunate enough to have my niece bring over sone treats from this place. Let me tell you, as someone that loves sweet treats and pastries, these are extraordinary. We had a cake and a variety of the donuts. The creme inside the donuts was delicious and perfectly sweet and textured. The cake had a peach marmalade or sort that was not overly sweet and on point. That is one of the best cakes I've ever had in my life. The presentation was beautiful but far more important was the taste. Smooth, creamy, sweet (but not overly sweet) with a great flavor balance. If you want something special make sure to grab the strawberry mascarpone tiramisu! They could do with another register and maybe someone at the cake counter. Ordered their cloud cake #3 and strawberry tiramisu #2 (the numbers indicate the size/ servings). The cafe offers delicious drinks at various locations so I was excited to try the new store in National City. The owner and staff were charming and helpful. I recommended this spot to my staff and students. Over $100 spent over the span of several visits because I wanted to support this new business, until... I overheard a young staff being berated by her manager using foul language. The store had not been opened but a week, so how serious was this mistake?? The horrific look on the other staffs' faces made me feel uncomfortable and leaving me with a change of heart. I no longer support a business who tolerate such behavior. Managers, have some decency and owners, train the right people to run your business! read more

Do not come to this location! I was excited that a Tous Les Jours location opened up closer to my area since the Balboa location is my go-to for cakes. Sadly, I will continue going to the other locations, and I strongly suggest everyone does too. I ordered a cake in advance for my aunt's birthday. My fiancée and I picked up the cake early morning on Valentine's Day so we could celebrate my aunt's birthday before going out in the evening to celebrate Valentine's Day. My mistake was not checking the cake before we left. I ordered the chocolate cloud cake #3, we received the vanilla cloud cake. I called the bakery to let them know there was a mistake and was asked to send a picture of the cake, so I did and they told me they would talk to management and call or message me back. When they messaged me back I told them I was no longer in the area so they asked for the address so they could 'swap' the cake out. I told them the cake had already been cut and they responded with a message saying they do not offer refunds (even for their own mistake) and they cannot 'swap' the cake since it had already been cut. I chose not to respond any further because I did not want to ruin the day since it was Valentine's Day. I don't really care that I didn't get what I paid for and that I was not able to get a refund. My main concern is that management 'swaps' cakes out even though they have already left the bakery. If those cakes are being sold to other customers then that's a serious health code violation, and I will be reporting this establishment. read more

My husband and I stumbled across this cute bakery yesterday. Absolutely adorable. Very clean. Next to Seafood City. We bought an assortment of items to try. The cream filled donuts were very good. Not overly sweet and plenty of filling. The stuffed chocolate chips cookie, crispy and perfect for my liking. We tried the apple pastry. Very good. The chocolate pastries delicious. Just went here for first and last time. Got two overpriced, overly-sweet, instant powdered "smoothies", a mango and a strawberry (which tastes NOTHING like strawberry). Both of those were kind of disappointing, but what ticks me off is the fact that this seemingly brand new business has an "Out Of Order" sign on their bathroom....you guys just barely opened and you have plumbing issues already?!? No, no plumbing issues. They, like a lot of other businesses, are too lazy to clean the restroom, so it's easier to put up a sign turning you away, while still wanting your hard earned cash for their product, hmmm..... To be clear, while I was there, not only did I see an employee go in to use the restroom, but, I also saw one employee behind the counter whisper to another customer that it was okay to use it, then the customer goes straight in to use it! We ended up getting the crookie, chocolate almond croissant, chocolate donut, apple pie and churro twist. All were great but the apple pie stood out to me. The churro was the least of my favorite bc you can taste the oil in every bite. For drinks we had the tiramisu latte and hazelnut latte which were both pretty solid. Overall spent about $35. read more
