I found a CD I've been looking for. Unfortunately it was the last one and it was opened fully. No shrink wrap and no safety sticker to keep it closed. I still wanted to purchase it, at the register upon opening it to see if it had any damages it looked like it had a scratch. I politely asked if I could get some sort of discount. The cashier said normally no but that she would ask her team lead. The cashier was sweet no issues with her. The team lead on the other hand, rose or Rosa she was very rude. She told me to my face that she wasn't sure if I had opened it so she couldn't offer a discount. I asked her if she could check the cameras then because I didn't mind waiting and again that's the condition I found it in. She continued to have a rude tone with me and gave me 11¢ off. Not what I was hoping for but I accepted the¢ discount. I then told rose or Rosa with a very polite tone that she was rude and she said back "I'm not being rude" and refused to check herself. I came here for a quick stop to get halloween snacks to hand out to trick or treaters. The parking is very challenging here. The security service does not assist with parking in any way. After parking I chose to enter through the garden center entrance, much quicker. I ventured across the store to the back grocery area. Everything was well stocked. Walmart is smart about making sure that items are in stock. This encourages the customer to buy more items. I found what I needed and had to cut it short...a person can get carried away with so many things available to choose from. I chose the self checkout and the Walmart staff member was very busy helping a lot of customers. He has great customer service! Overall a great visit, in and out in 11 mins! read more

From the many grocery stores that you come across the vendors from the potatoes chips to the drinks there is one that is missing is the vendors from the lunch meats and meat vendors. The many areas of the meat depts and the vegetables they have there is no workers that are in charge of the produce . For today's shopping at the National City Walmart the many shoppers that I saw at the store there were more shopping with the high target prices you may see at the many Walmart Stores. Today's shopping to get groceries from my last shopping the store didn't have plastic bags for the store from a truck that didn't come through. Shopping at the National City Walmart the workers that pull the orders they do help in finding many things some of the workers they ignore you telling they don't speak English. With the many times that I have come to the Walmart stores I have seen dept workers which have not checked the meats for the selling of meats the dates and prices must be checked for customers . Prices and the many products they have are some of the best the dates can be the problems customer service on the floor is not one of the best . When you have to get help from the many assistant and store managers on the floor to get help. They finally answered the phone, and said I could come the next morning. Here I am next morning, I've been sitting in the parking lot for 20 minutes. Supercenter, definitely super. Not only is National City Walmart location large in size, this store practically has everything and more. Almost a one stop shop. I'm not too impress with their fresh produce prices (little higher than some of mom and pops), but good to know this location has it, a convenience. Lots of registers open. Lines were all over the place, but no more than 1-3 customers were waiting in line as oppose to Chula Vista on Broadway where lines were still long, cashiers were available but they were slow AF. This has not been the first time I've experienced slow cashiers It was a Sunday evening when I went shopping for a few items. My only complaint was waiting for staff's assistance (along with couple more customers) in the men's underwear aisle. The glass cabinets were locked. I used the call button and it must have taken approximately 10 minutes until staff arrived. Not a fan of large stores, crowds, and lines. Also, not a fan of parking my car in parking lots that are further out rather than closer to a store if I'm only getting a few items. I like the convenience of going in and out and be done. I got the worst experience today. I was at the store shopping, and went to the self service check out. I was trying to pay for my item, cough medicine and this cashier came and stop me. She said I must see ur ID, then she said u don't know what ID is ? I told her yes and then she said ur people don't know what ID is and they don't like going to school. So typically u don't know what ID is. I try to talk to her like an adult, she immediately said I was shouting, aggressive and almost start faking cry. Came here for a quick late night trip. Didn't know it wasn't 24/7. So had to come back the next day at 5pm on a Saturday. It was clean, lots of great light, and well organized. Prices were competitive on a lot of things but there was a handful of things, unfortunately the things we mostly came for, that seemed way higher than what we saw in other places. Found a couple of things we didn't know we needed as well. That's the best part of this store. Somethings are grouped together that doesn't seem like it belongs at first glance but if you think about it, it makes sense. I'd suggest searching online to see how the prices stack up versus other places. There wasn't a ton of staff on the floor which meant we just had to walk and search until we found what we wanted. I don't shop at Walmart a lot nor do I want to give them my money but this one is alright. read more

It's a Wal Mart, it is huge. I use them for grocery pickup and delivery, and I recommend that you do as well. They have almost everything you can need, it's just somewhat chaotic. However, with some planning, they usually have your order ready the same day. If you do not like crowds, you will not like this store. There is a woman who is employed at this Walmart that has profiled me twice before and in general always has a nasty attitude towards black customers. For reference I am a San Diego local. I, possibly like many of you reading, have been coming to this Walmart since I was a little girl. When it comes down to it, I don't even give a second thought to which Walmart I go to anymore. It's a given that I will be going to the same one I always go to, but it seems now I have to make a change. I do not know this woman's name, I hope that I won't have to know her name because to find out her name would mean that I have to have another run in with her where she profiles me for "theft". On the weekends I do Instacart to make ends meet, on this particular weekend I was checking out and although I charged the order for a bag of ice i forgot to pick it up on the way out. An innocent mistake. It's also important to note that the store was very busy at the time, so the woman was simply waving customers through the door. As soon as I realized I had left the bag of ice I rushed back and tried to explain to the woman what happened and she peer at me with a judgmental stare and asked, "If you were just here then why didn't someone check off your receipt." I told her she had been the one waving people through the door, and before she could dismiss me a fellow walmart employee came over and just told me to grab it real quick and it would be fine. Crisis averted. The next time I was leaving the store with groceries of my own and as people were leaving she stopped me specifically and went over my receipt very carefully, all the while others were leaving the store without any of their receipts being checked. Once she seemingly went over every item in my basket and confirmed I had paid for every last item she finally let me go. This most recent run in I was doing an instacart order and when I saw her at the door I knew I should expect something. She was waving people through and I stopped and asked if she could check off my receipt. She didn't seem to hear me and simply boomed, "cmon move, move, move c'mon." And in an act of annoyance i said, "well it's just last time you accused me of stealing." She then stopped, squinted her eyes at me and said, "ugh... girl i don't even know you." I walked out of the store and headed home and on the drive back I couldn't help but think to myself, "damn, i guess i should just go out of my way to avoid that Walmart I guess." A small inconvenience but one that made me feel small, and less than. I have to go out of my way to another part of town in order to get my groceries and household supplies because if not I will be harassed and profiled by someone all because of the color of my skin. This is wrong. I write this not to seek revenge or ruin someone's life or god forbid get someone fired. No. I write this because no one should feel unsafe going to their local grocery store. No one should feel targeted for doing a simple daily task like running an errand. I know this may seem like some pesky complaint, especially when there are others out there experiencing way worse levels of discrimination, but I really hope that maybe since I said something, maybe something will change. read more

I try avoiding all Wally worlds, mostly because of the people that shop there... not necessarily the employees themselves. This Walmart was on my way home and and from memory had a bigger grocery section. I have been getting Amazon delivery since covid started but have needed to pick up a few items here and there. As you can see from the pics, they are out of stock on a lot of items. Even in the Healthcare sections... luckily someone was standing at the case in the women's section and I was able to get my item and be on my way.... I forget everything is locked up here... its crazy, expensive shaving cream is locked up but razors are not?! Anyhow, I went up and down automotive and couldn't locate the part I needed... I was able to do self checkout immediately and the staff was friendly and helpful when I forgot about my lock boxed item and they grabbed it from my cart and proceeded to scan it for me. Before COVID Ive stopped by from time to time for money services and optical and occasional grocery shopping and it was always a madhouse and long lines. The lines are not as bad, but the registers are divided so keep that in mind. They section off part of the store. read more

Horrible experience at this Walmart. Extremely rude associates. I went here today to try on some pants before purchasing and was told the dressing rooms were closed due to inventory. (Confused...not sure what inventory has to do with dressing rooms.) I asked kindly if there were any other dressing rooms available seeing how it was an extremely large store and had multiple clothing departments. I was told: No. So this Walmart claims to be a Supercenter yet only has 2 dressing room stalls for the entire store?? Still thrown off by being told there were no dressings rooms available I asked if I could speak to a manager to better understand this policy. Not even sure if the lady I ended up speaking to was a manager of any sort, but she very rudely told me the dressing room is closed. "Sorry it's not open today at all. We're doing inventory." As I proceeded to open my mouth to simply ask her a question she started talking over me and cut me off and said "it's Closed!" With a very rude tone and exclamation. I proceeded to tell her that I'm not a regular Walmart shopper and I was not aware of this policy. It would've been nice to know before I wasted 40 minutes searching through every department to find the perfect pants I needed to try on. A simple sign as you enter the store to say dressing rooms are closed today or even a sign as you approached the dressing room saying dressing Rooms are closed Today would have been Nice.
