We haven't been here for a couple of years. We do notice that the parking lot is full at lunchtime. We live right up the street and leave town for dinner... every time. We didn't want to cook, and didn't want to drive either, so we thought we would give them another try. So glad we did. We were there on a weeknight, so there were only a few tables occupied. The dining room was clean and inviting. The server was very friendly and attentive. The food was great. Fresh, hot, tasty, and prepared just the way we ordered it. Time to update my review. I've come here several times now and have had some tasty Mexican food. Their taco choices are quite good. I've had al pastor tacos that were packed with well made pork. The salsas are good but nothing to rave about but they do bring them in carafes and give everyone at your table a small bowl in which to pour the salsa. Double dip all you want. The restaurant isn't fancy and just has a few pictures on the walls that are typical of a Mexican restaurant. read more

Been here many times while passing through to and from the beach. Always great service and tasty food with reasonable prices and fun atmosphere. Service is quick with drinks and delivering the food and the staff are always super friendly! Can't brag about this place enough. Just pulled into Bennettsville & hubs was craving Mexican. This was the only Mexican restaurant that came up as being reasonably close. There wasn't a sign indicating whether we should seat ourselves or wait to be seated, but one of the regulars told us to find a seat. Very prompt with chips & salsa. We ordered cheese dip, which came out very quickly & was delicious. Hubby ordered burritos & I decided on Pollo con Crema, which I've never tried before. It was right up there with chimichangas & I love me some chimichangas. Food did take a bit of time to come out, but it was definitely fresh, so I'm good with waiting a bit for cooked to order food. They also have some beautiful artwork. Overall, we had a delicious meal in a pleasant atmosphere. Not sure how long we will be in this area, but I'm certain that we will return here. read more

Whoever picked up the phone when I just tried to order takeout gave horrible service. Asked me to hold. I waited 5 whole minutes before hanging up. The entire 5 minutes I could hear talking, laughing, dishes, etc. I could hear the gentleman I spoke to laughing and talking in the background. I attempted to call back multiple times, but I guess they left the phone off the receiver and it always said busy. So this gentleman forgot about me on the phone and I could not call back. Not just because this is the only Mexican restaurant in town, but Fiesta Tapatia is 'the bomb'. Food is cooked to order, always fresh, good and served piping hot. The service is excellent - always kind, courteous and prompt. read more

At the end of the meal my 8 year old got sick from the food and threw up in a dish. The employee came to take the dish, no concern for the child at all, not even to offer her a refill of her empty water to wash out her mouth (the service was average). The employee Didn't speak to the child or to us. When I got to the register an employee/owner who watched the whole thing asked how my meal was. I told him that "my child got sick and we think it was her food. She complained of her chicken tasting funny". The man never responded. He spoke excellent English, just ignored me. I had to go back into the restaurant after I left for glasses that we forgot on the table during the incident and the staff ignored me. I am polite, did not cause a fuss, didn't ask for a discount and paid everything I owed. I was frustrated with their willful disregard for a situation that they may have caused. Rather than negotiating a refund for the $3 item that made my child sick, I thought I should share my experience with Yelp. read more

The service was terrible. Told the guy what I wanted cause my mom ordered for me and I came back to the table just before he was getting ready to leave and put our order in and confirmed what I wanted with him. He said okay got it. So my food comes out and it's the wrong thing. Being me I just asked for the same thing but with chicken instead of beef because I eat turkey meat and would pay for both of them. I literally waited 45 mins on my food to be brought to me. So I ended up getting it to go and having to eat it on my hour and a half drive home. And that night and the next day I was very sick to my stomach from the food. Definitely will not be coming back or recommending. read more
