Having visited this establishment multiple times I was very disappointed to see the owner have an abusive and profanity laced meltdown in front of children at a public event recently. I have previously had good experiences with the location, serving Perry's hard ice cream as well as multiple soft serve options and plenty of outdoor picnic table seating. The parking lot can get busy, but even on summer evenings the turnover makes it a viable option if it was not for the owner being such a vile individual. read more

This was my first time going to Fifi's, and I wasn't disappointed; huge serving sizes and reasonable prices, there was only one person prepping orders (or so it seemed) so hopefully during busy times there's more, otherwise I could see long lines. I'm just gonna say it - FiFi's is our favorite. I think my girlfriend and I would agree that ice cream is one of the biggest and most crucial components to true happiness. The amount we spend each year getting ice cream would probably get us out of debt. But I don't think there's any regrets there. Anyway, I say all this to clarify that our opinion is not made lightly. There's only a hand full of places in the area we haven't been to, but as it currently stands we drive across town to come here, passing many other places on the way. Most ice cream places choose like 12-24 flavors from their provider (in this case, Perry's). After the base of obvious flavors, you'll usually get a few unique picks that might be different from the other places. I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure FiFi's just checked every single box. Anything I've ever heard of, read about online, or seen at other places is on this board, plus so, so many more. It takes a few minutes just to read all the flavors. This is why I went with the seasonal specials so many times, it's just easier than picking one yourself. I feel silly for ever prioritizing a place for any particular flavor they've opted into, now that I know there's a place that simply just has them all at once. I've tried all their seasonal specials, and they're all amazing. The cookie monster flurry was absolutely packed full of cookies and dough. I usually have to emphasize like three times for that kind of thickness, but this is just what they're handing out. I added peanut butter to the banana cream pie milkshake. It kind of derailed what they were trying to do, but I recommend you try it anyway. Best milkshake ever. The breakfast sundae using bacon, maple syrup, and blueberry pancake ice cream was also incredible. The crunchy waffle cone bits stayed preserved in an ooze of syrup. If they suggest it on the board, try it. They know what they're doing. If we want a guaranteed good milkshake, we come here. We can't pass up on the extra thick option, and you have an entire board of Perry's flavors to work with as a base. Graham Canyon has been a personal favorite all around. I tried a Frappe once. I just wasn't feeling like ice cream for whatever reason and ordered a rainbow cake frappe. While it was delicious, and I would have raved over it in any other setting, it just felt like such a waste going to FiFi's for watered down dairy. I see they also have a full on selection for Acai bowls, but I suspect I'd feel the same way ordering them here. We're actively trying new places whenever we can. You can't win if you don't play. Honestly, it was that logic that brought us here in the first place. The way it just sort of sits here on James St, it really didn't look that impressive. Now we come here when we're not up for the risk of mediocre ice cream from some place else. Every time we've been here has been a great experience. It's that consistency that makes it worth the higher pricing, and sometimes the long lines. Last time we were here was a few weeks ago and they were starting to power down. Their Perry's list was only about half as wide. I'm assuming this is it for the season, but we'll be there first thing next spring. read more

Wow. This is one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had in my life. I ordered two milkshakes with ice cream and hot fudge. I order these all the time. When my order came there was no fudge in it, the cup was only 2/3 full, and it was the consistency of a glass of milk. I asked the girl if she put the fudge in and she glared at me and said no. i told her the shake wasn't really like a milkshake and she yelled at me! She said you can't make a shake with hard ice cream, and acted like I was at fault. She asked me if I wanted her to put hot fudge in it, like it would kill her to make the effort, and I told her no.
