Peanut butter pretzel ice cream cone
Katie D.

Stopped by here with my sister. She got the fruity pebbles milkshake and I got the peanut butter pretzel ice cream in a chocolate dipped waffle cone. She really liked her shake and the peanut butter ice cream was awesomeee!!! I loved it. I got a medium which ended up being too big but it was so good I forced myself to finish it; it was that tasty. As another yelper mentioned, they definitely need to move the menu because the glare was insane and no matter where you moved to it didn't seem to help. Pretty hard to place an order when you can't see what to choose from. Besides that, we waited about 10 minutes or so and there were other people ordering. I would recommend going here. They had great flavor options and a lot of atypical flavors that sounded delicious!

The hard ice cream was very good and service was fast and friendly!

The hard ice cream was delicious - peanut butter pretzel especially. Creamy and crunchy chocolate covered pretzel. The service was also very fast and friendly. There was a good sized line when we pulled up but we were served pretty quickly considering.

Flavors that are gluten-free!

Great tasting ice creams and shakes, though everything is incredibly overpriced. Staff are polite and the place is welcoming.

The ice-cream was good, I had to wait 35 min. on a 90 degree day to get a shake while 4 people who came after me got their ice cream first.

I've had their ice cream before and know it's top notch. I chose a maple walnut on a waffle cone and my husband 1 scoop of strawberry and a scoop of coconut almond. Mine was delicious and the cone was crispy and fresh and actually one of the best I've ever had. My only minor complaint is that I had zero walnuts in my ice cream! That could have just been because it was the bottom of the tub??? The flavor of the maple was excellent. My husband loved his flavors but said he liked the strawberry best. They had seating outside.

Situated just outside of Cazenovia on Route…read more20, the Nelson Creamery is an unassuming ice cream spot that opened a few years ago and has quickly become a go-to when I'm in the area. Their prices are reasonable and the serving sizes generous. The "Creamery" part of their name is exemplified in their soft serve. It is creamy, thick, and doesn't melt right away like other ice creams might. I've tried the soft serve, hard flavors, and their version of a flurry/blizzard/etc. and can recommend all. A cool fact about the Creamery: it was opened by the local Masonic Lodge and their goal is to use profits to give back to the community. Very cool. Not much else to say here. Head to Cazenovia to check out the lake, have dinner at one of the great local restaurants, and finish up with dessert at the Nelson Creamery.

They must have at least 30 flavors of homemade ice creams and as well as an absolutely ridiculous amount of homemade chocolates and treats. If you like ice cream, there's no way you won't find a flavor here that you love. This is a specialty store and they give out free samples of their ice cream with a smile. You can watch them making ice cream in the back. They even have some non dairy based flavors. They have virtually all of their ice cream flavors in to go containers (quart size) and prices are very reasonable since it's made in house and is such high quality. If you order say chocolate chip, it's gonna be loaded with chips. Honestly, I wish I worked here. What else can I say? Super friendly folks inside and there's tons of free parking right out front and on the side. Oh they also have custom made ice cream cakes!

The ice cream was normal nothing special or exciting really but the real reason I'm doing this review is due to the service I received, two different employees were going back and fourth taking my order and it was so confusing. They both took my order separately like 6 times because they just wouldn't stay to wait to hear for my small order. Very confusing for me and made me question my self, will not be going here again

I got the chocolate soft serve with rainbow sprinkles and it was the perfect sweet treat. If you only want a little something, you can get a kids size like I did, but they also have small, medium, and large sizes too. One thing to know is that it is cash only. If you do not have cash, they may offer an IOU like they did for us. There is an ATM next door, but I had issues with it not accepting my card, and my friends had the same problem, so I ended up paying in quarters. They were very kind and patient about it though. The line can get pretty long, but it moves quickly, so it is not a bad wait at all. It would be nice if there was more seating, especially since so many people come here, but overall it is still a really great stop for ice cream.

I am partial to soft serve but have tried both their hard icecream and soft serve. I prefer their soft serve but wish they had more flavors. I tried the classic chocolate twist and the two berry twist soft serves. In the two berry twist, I didn't like the pink flavor- it was too icy and more like a sorbet/dole whip than true soft serve. I liked the purple flavor thought! Overall, I still frequent Sweet Melissa's for softserve close to Cornell! Would recommend!

Cake Bar - The Cafe is an adorable stop in downtown Syracuse…read more The interior is really modern, inviting, and has gentle music playing. There is always a pleasant vibe to it and often there are people chatting or working on laptops. Employees are always really nice. I really enjoy the Pandan Matcha. Its so hard to find pandan drinks in the area! I find the drinks are often really sweet and so its important to order them with no sugar or less sugar. The boba is okay although the straws they have been using lately are too small for them so they lose some of the shape and correct texture. A random thing I love about their drinks are they used a crushed ice, it makes it feel appropriately portioned to the drink itself. Although I am not a coffee person, the cafe lattes are my partner's favorite in the area and they are highly customizable. It's also nice that they offer a carrier when you have a few drinks to-go. Interestingly, the cake and desserts are the weaker part for me for Cake Bar. They are often pretty dry for my tastes. My favorite has been the potato chip cookies, but I have only seen them a few times. The chicken wing dip buns are pretty good and filling though and are worth trying! Overall its a great stop and a nice place to bring friends when they stop by or to hang out whilst doing some work.
