Animals Etc Pet Motel has been one the most affordable and most caring doggy hotels we have experienced for my dog. Their facility is a little old but they are experienced and have been in business for a long time. They worked with me at late hours and last minute! Toby seems to love it there and we are so grateful that they can work with my work schedule. Recently, my car broke down 5 minutes from their business and the owners picked Toby and I up in the middle of the road and gave us a ride. They checked up on us and offered to help with my truck. They said "often" so I asked how they deal with it. They said said they just have to be firm or they'd never get their work done. This is true of my business as well. Please, folks, respect their time! To those who read the negative reviews and wonder whether this is a good place to keep your dog, it's wonderful just so long as you can show the owners the same respect you expect to be given personally. This is normal behavior for her, so we didn't think anything of it. We took off to our destination and around 4:00 pm I received a phone call from Marisol, the owner. She left a voicemail saying they had a problem with Belle. I called her back and that's when she told me that Belle had escaped through a part of the fence that was not secured. She said her husband took off on foot trying to catch her but she was too far to get her. Our entire plan was ruined within minutes. We called our family to start looking for Belle. No one was able to find her. We left our hotel and made it back to our hometown around 11 at night. We didn't even stop at home and drove directly to the location in an attempt to find her. Belle was no where to be found. We were devastated and heart broken. Our dog of 7 years was gone in a blink of an eye. After a heart wrenching 24 hours, we found Belle. She had been picked up by a Good Samaritan that kept her safe at night then called the Dog pound in the morning. I was so relieved when I saw her. We lost our hotel stay, our tickets to the event we were going too and our entire vacation. All things that can be replaced. Belle is irreplaceable. Belle is back home which is all that matters. However, I wanted to write this review for others to be aware that this might happen if you leave your fur babies in their care. I still don't know how everything happened and I choose not to investigate. But at least you have been informed.

Again, polite, kind, and caring. If you add consistency to this dynamic, you'll have a perfect place where you can feel 100 percent happy to leave your family (fur-baby) under their care. I'd give them a 5 if communication was clear, but it was almost going to leave a score of 3, if the young lady wasn't always there to keep my billing consistent and fix the miscommunications. They charged me an "early check in fee" for dropping my dog off at noon, and a "late check out fee" for picking him up at 5pm! Then, because I didn't buy a bath (I had literally bathed him right before dropping him off), they charged me another full night. The front desk woman actually said "if you don't purchase a bath, we charge another nights fee" How is that anything but predatory business practices!? They tried to claim he was "picking at his food," but the moment he got home, within a few minutes he ate his entire meal with zero hesitation.
