    The Italian

Best sandwich in town! Family atmosphere with friendly and fast service. There was a line both times I've gone, but it moves fast. I've tried the Italian and the Whitey with blue. Both delicious!

So I figured before our train ride home we'd stop and get a sandwich and some chips and I found this place and YELP of course. When we got there there was a line outside. We got there just in time. This place is POP U LAR!! I got the chicken Caesar wrap and my brother got the Italians and godfather and omg everything looked and tasted AMAZING no wonder there was a line out the door. If you're ever in or around the area I highly recommend stopping here!! Just trust me...

This is a fantastic spot for a quick and easy grab-and-go lunch. The menu is extensive, so there's something for everyone, and the option to call ahead makes ordering a breeze. The pickup process is smooth and efficient, perfect for a busy day. They use top-quality ingredients, which really stand out in every bite. We tried the Goodfellas and the Sonny--both were excellent. The chicken in the Sonny was incredibly fresh and generously portioned, while the prosciutto on the Goodfella was sliced to order, adding to the sandwich's rich flavor. Plus, the roll was perfectly fresh, making the whole experience even better. Highly recommend giving this place a try!

On the Friday special menu: "Tuna on Focaccia" It really was "All That".

As busy as this place gets, line moves fast, service is friendly, there's an awesome sandwich menu and what I saw others getting I can't wait to get on my next visits.

After much anticipation in wanting to try this place, I finally got a chance yesterday. It was well worth it. I was debating between The Goodfella and an Italian. Ultimtely I went with The Goodfella and it was delicious. I ordered extra hots, and had a fantastic sub. The bread was fresh and hearty, definitely need strong teeth to rip through it, and all the fixings were fresh and meats were premium quality. The presentation of the sandwich was very nice with a filling, and colorful display. Staff was friendly and would gladly come back. Ate inside and enjoyed looking out the window seeing people and the traffic flownof the area passs by. I'll be sure to come back for the Italian. Their steak-based subs also look great too.

Found this place on Yelp while I was in the city for the day this week. Read the reviews and prepared myself for the chaos of lunch hour. Got there at 12:15 and was out within 20 minutes with a delicious & large eggplant caprese. I also snagged a brownie for $1! The sandwich was so fresh, so flavorful. I could only eat half because the sandwich was so enormous! I enjoyed the second half for dinner a few hours later. Absolutely loved it. I didn't want to finish eating it, it was that good! Will definitely be back. YUM!!

Italian Sub: $20 for a foot long, the meat was so plentiful it's almost overflowing, enough for two meals. The prisciutto was tender and juicy; the salami was firm and savory with a strong smokiness. Both are thinly sliced, so despite the thick stack, it was relatively easy for a bite. The provolone cheese was also generously portioned, with a robust yet not spicy flavor and a subtle nutty aroma, perfectly complementing the two meats. The olive oil and balsamic vinegar were particularly outstanding: mellow, tangy, and with a fruity aroma of grapes, key to the complex flavor profile. The lettuce, tomatoes, and onions were all fresh, especially the onions were refreshing and a little zingy, perfect for removing the greasiness. Unfortunately, I was worried about not being able to roll it back up properly and making it inconvenient to carry (which it actually happened), so I took it away and ate it at the office. After about 40 minutes, the bread had become somewhat dry and hard.

But I'm actually writing about the company's website and phone recording. Once, on a prior holiday, and today due to a winter storm, I wasn't sure if the restaurant was open. In both cases (where the restaurant turned out to be closed), the website (appropriately) didn't allow online orders, and (more importantly) THE OUTGOING PHONE RECORDING WAS UPDATED WITH CURRENT INFORMATION. In an era where businesses barely have phone numbers to call, or employees who answer with something other than 'hello', is rare (and by the way, this is the fault of management if they don't properly train their staff). THANK YOU FOR HAVING YOUR SHIT TOGETHER IN COMMUNICATING YOUR HOURS TO THE PUBLIC. I, for one, appreciate it.

It was the gold standard for a real sandwich in the city. Sadly, the magic has faded. Between the soaring prices and the shrinking portions, the value just isn't there anymore. You can taste the "corner-cutting"--the flavors aren't as bold as they used to be, and the sandwiches feel noticeably smaller even though the cost has increased exponentially - I mean $30 for a sammy?! It should have gold in it! Even then, I'd keep coming once in awhile if the service was worth it. but honestly - the staff seems burnt out even bright early in the morning. It's hard to justify the premium price for a shadow of what this place used to be.

Prior to visiting Boston, I did my research on things to do and places to eat. Every search for…read morebreakfast spots mentioned Mike & Patty's as a must stop for the best breakfast sandwich you're going to get anywhere. Enough said! I'm a huge breakfast fanatic, especially a good breakfast sandwich or burrito. This is the original location that was started by two friends and has grown to multiple other locations since. We took an Uber here from our hotel. I imagine if you drive over here, parking will be a challenge. It's almost easy to miss. It sits on a corner of a brick building with just writing on the windows. In all my research I did not catch that it is the smallest restaurant in Boston at only 175 square feet. It's basically a room with most of the space taken by the tiny kitchen. There's also a little tiny ledge on the window with a couple of stools for those who may want to dine in. Customers including us took turns walking in and putting in our orders and then stepping out to make room for more people. It had a steady line the whole time we were there. Hours are limited from 7:30-2 so don't delay. Customer service was straight business, kind of the norm in Boston. Their menu is breakfast sandwiches, a couple of burritos and some lunch options like a turkey sandwich, BLT, or a Rueben. For sides, they have hashbrowns or a plain English muffin. For a small menu, they do have quite a few drink options like coffee, tea, juices, and different flavored milks including banana milk which I have never seen. For their food, they use high quality ingredients from local farms and purveyors and have their own bakery for their bread. My eyes fixated on the Breakfast Grilled Crack mainly for the name, but also all the ingredients looked tasty. It was quality eggs, bacon, four cheeses on sourdough bread. I went extra and added sausage to it as well. I also got OJ to wash it down. We realized our only option to eat comfortably was to go back to our hotel lobby to eat. Even with the travel time, the sandwich was nice and warm and the bread was still nice and crispy from the griddle. This sandwich was indeed one of the best breakfast sandwiches I have ever had. I almost felt guilty eating it because of how rich and cheesy it was. I would skip the hash brown next time. It did not travel well nor did it have anything special going on with it. Hands down one of my favorite meals of the trip that I would absolutely do again if I am in the area.
