The guys that work in the deli are terrible. I ordered a chicken parm sandwich and told the guy to make it with no cheese as I am allergic to cheese. When I get back to my workplace to have the sandwich it was make with cheese. I took it back and they say it has no cheese lol Like I didn't just peal the cheese off the sandwich myself. Unbelievable!!! Also, last week I ordered an Italian sub and said no cheese guess what it had cheese. Ugh.... Is it really that hard to just listen to people place an order? I was rather unimpressed with my experience at Frank Anthony's. I went with the southwestern salad but it was okay, not out of this world. The chicken wasn't super fresh as I was expecting, but on the plus side the portion was rather large. I will come back to try their sandwiches and the market itself has all the necessities you could need and more. The staff was also friendly. Will have to give this another try. read more

Went to Franks this afternoon for a mid day salad. I always get the same thing, buffalo caesar salad with romaine. I walk home and shake it and after taking a few bites I look down and see a massive fly in the salad, dead, with legs scattered through the salad. I was immediately sick. Went back to Franks and the cashier, a young woman offered me a refund but barely apologized after I showed her the massive bug, pictured below. My girlfriend got the brie from their refrigerated section and when we got home we opened it and it didn't smell right; It didn't smell right because it was 2 months past expiration. Extremely disappointing. Will be letting my fellow seaporters know to steer clear of franks until they get their act together. So grossed out after this. read more

I love the buffalo chicken caesar here. It's crazy how hard it is to find this kind of salad around Boston and the chicken is usually way too dry when you do find it, but FA's does it right. A bit too heavy on parm, croutons, and dressing but you can instruct them as they make the salad. The chicken is very flavorful with a homemade buffalo sauce, nice and moist (although not really crisp), and heated up on the grill before they add it atop your salad. I haven't tried anything other food. I docked off some stars because the service is beyond slow even when there is no line. The salad lady (it's always been this woman from my many experiences here) makes you wait until she has finished some random errand/activity to start making your salad. Seriously, I have waited like 5-10 full minutes until she started making my simple salad. This is in addition to the confusing layout such that you might wait in line for the wrong type of food - there is a specific line for the deli vs. salads vs. bakery. It has an OK selection of groceries, beer, and snacks but expect the prices to be high in bougie Seaport. read more

I've visited the seaport area many times with family and have been to Frank Anthony's on several occasions. It's great to have a locally- owned non-chain place. It has an authentic Boston ambiance as opposed to a boring, generic feel. The made-on-premises order-to-go items are always satisfying. Their sandwiches, salads and iced coffee are great when visiting the city on a summer day. The store has pretty much any item you might need; which I'm sure is very convenient for the folks living nearby. I love the employees and service; helpful and kind with just enough Boston attitude. Great local and family-owned sandwich shop + small grocery store. Very popular and my entire team (6+ people), we order from here at least 1-2 times a week, sometime more. The salads are a great health and affordable option (much less expensive than sweetgreen). The sandwiches are delish and made fresh to order and the pizza is a "hidden gem" in the Seaport (but I recommend ordering a whole pie in advance from their website or ritual, vs slice, that way it's fresh from oven). Lastly, the staff is great - even when slammed at lunchtime, I have found everyone to be very friendly. read more

Went here after work and enjoyed myself. I walked around the store and was amazed by the selection of wines, drinks, salads, and soups. Behind the counter was a plethora of desserts, salads, and sandwiches. Their menu was extensive and literally there was anything you wanted could be made here. I was feeling something warm and heavy, so I decided go get their Turkey chili as it was the soup of the day. It was full of vegetables and chunks of Turkey, but it was a little salty. I tried to eat around the sauce and added some pepper and it was a little bit better. For a neighborhood joints chili it was alright. Very clean and spacious market. You can get great sandwiches and wines and beers. The workers are nice and helpful. Dogs not allowed. This is close to the water so In summer if you are thirsty or hungry you can get great food here. The sandwiches are huge. read more

Such a variety on the menu but the line moves fast! Be prepared to speak up and state your desire quickly! The market has prepared options in the cooler with everything you need for a picnic to go or to bring to a friends for dinner. I ordered the California a Wrap and it was very good. They have a large selection of drinks, chips and yes desserts!! So many to choose from and so many were yummy!! Great spot and very close to the federal court house. I dropped by this place for lunch recently. I ordered the steak bomb which came with steak, cheese, mushrooms, onions and peppers. The sub was a bit salty and I realized that they added pepperoni in it too. It was good but too pricey. $12.99 for a large sub excluding tax! My most recent salad experience was so bad I had to leave a review. Waited in a HUGE line to end up with a rude and confused server who gave me NOTHING for $11. My friend was behind me and got a massive salad for the same price. Mine was tiny (it weighed so little my friend said "oh my god what??" When she held it) and I was hungry 30 minutes later. She gave me literally 2 pieces of tofu, 2 pieces of walnut, etc then saw how tiny it was and added plain lettuce with no toppings. Then I ask for balsamic vinaigrette and she squirts PLAIN VINEGAR on it. The best caterer we have worked with for a large corporate event in Boston. Nice is amazing to work with- responsive and very helpful with creating a menu. We did breakfast and lunch- and both were amazing. Everyone was very happy with the food. Breakfast sandwiches were delicious and the chicken marsala and pasta primavera were fan favorites for lunch! It took about 25 minutes for them to make an bacon/egg/cheese on an English muffin. There were two other customers waiting for their breakfast orders when I arrived, both of which had been waiting for an extremely long time. The cook tried giving me their order and vice versa. It was an utter mess, and tensions were pretty high. As others came in, the guy working behind the counter had no clue how to do more than one thing at a time, or how to expedite the food. When everything was said and done, the sandwich was very good, albeit completely basic/simple. The do sell high quality cooking ingredients, such as Stonewall Kitchen and Pastene brands, so its certainly a welcomed addition to the neighborhood. The prices are a bit high but the one thing I am disappointed about is not being able to buy the Thanksgiving sandwich all the time. I loved that thing. I love this place for the food!!!!! Their salads and availability of entrees, pizzas, sandwiches etc are excellent. On a couple of visits lately the female behind the counter has gotten my order wrong big time to the point where I have had to raise my voice and repeat my order. I've been coming in there for the last 3 weeks never heard about Frank Anthonys and I have to tell you I'm not impressed. First off I've seen at least three to five people in there is not wearing masks which is a state protocol which tells me that's not very sanitary and they said nothing to them about putting one on second off every time I go in there in order some type of food they always mess up my order . I got a cupcake and a guy reached in there with no glove and grab the bottom of the cupcake although there was a rapper on the bottom still very unprofessional. That Matters to some people. On top of all this the lady behind the counter terribly unprofessional with quite the attitude they messed up my order because the cook couldn't understand my English. And she got upset like is that my fault ?. I spoke very clearly I will never order from them again nor will I ever tell anybody to eat there I do not recommend this place. read more
