Cutest little deli! Sells a lot of cheese varieties as well as oils and seasonings. All of their sandwiches look great--would recommend if you want a little bit more of an elevated take on your typical sandwich. High quality ingredients, and a lot of thought behind what's put in them. Got the #5 Italian Sandwich which was delicious! One of the best Italian subs I've had--extremely flavorful and balanced. Great bread to filling ratio. Definitely on the smaller side, so it was a little pricey ($17), but personally I felt like it was a solid serving--and all their sandwiches come with a side. Will definitely be coming back to try their other sandwiches!

Five stars for this small business. Located conveniently in the Beacon Hill MGH neighborhood, Crane River Cheese Club serves up delicious sandwiches. There's a small sandwich menu written on chalk as you walk in. The person at the counter makes it fresh and serves the sandwiches with a side of potato salad or broccoli. They also have a small selection of wine, cheeses, desserts, and other small snacks. I ordered the #1 which was packed with Italian cold cuts and cheese. Very flavorful perhaps a little salty but that's kinda how these meats are. The potato salad also amazing. The service was fast. The environment was cozy! Try them out!

I've eaten here a few times now... honestly one of the best sandwich experiences I've had. This place is worth driving at least an hour to come visit. The intricacy and complexity of the sandwiches, mixed with the obvious sense of how fresh and clean each ingredient is... This place is so under-rated. My guess is in no time, this place will have a 30 min wait out the door. Get there and try it before then!

The sandwich was ok, good quality but the turkey was like one of those pressed chicken breasts from subway (although I am sure it was not) but the sage and the texture was weird. The broccoli salad was also an odd flavour, I couldn't stop eating it but wasn't sure I liked it. I would try again but a different sandwich and the potato salad. Cute place, busy, slightly expensive as the sandwich is not big.

Sandwich 1 is reallllly good. All sandwiches come with a side and I got bacon potato salad. It's not massive but it is a good lunch. The sauce and the olive tapenade together are so delicious.

Just tried the chicken and chorizo sandwich. Great idea adding the chorizo. It made it interesting. Will order it again.

They're so nice, food is good, and you sometimes get the most amazing local produce etc. I wish they did more of that actually.

However per my cousin, it was absolutely a gamble getting into Monica's due to its popularity. It's your typical Italian deli and stocked with many of yummy bites. The servers inside are working their tails off...! Their work pace is not the issue, it's the establishment's popularity...! Looks very authentic inside like a restaurant / deli you might find in Firenze. I decided to order the Italian Sub as they make it; no changes. In hindsight, I should've changed a few things I kind of knew I wouldn't like, but wanted to roll with their take on the classic sub. The bread was very fresh and the meats abundant and plentiful! I was not a fan of the balsamic, nor the "hots" (not "hot" so-to-speak, but kind of a marinated sweet pepper, nor am a fan of sweet pickles. Condiments on their sandwich...? Mayonnaise (none), mustard (none). I believe it's only balsamic and EVIO. I ate a half sandwich and was quite full. I honestly threw the other half out. Wasn't my jam. PRO-TIP: Place an order online for pick-up; walk up, go in the second door (to the left) straight to the counter where you pay and pick up your sandwich which will be ready by the time you get there. I will try this place again; I'm just modifying the sandwich to a version I know I'll love. Side note: The chip selection had some crazy flavors I've never seen before such as "Fried Egg"

If you're in the Boston area, I would consider it a sin NOT to try Bricco's Salumeria. Not joking when I say that my favorite bite experienced during my entire trip to Massachusetts, came from one of the focaccia sandwiches I ordered from Bricco's. I have already made it a point in my mind to hit this spot in the North End of Boston any and EVERY-time I find myself in the Boston area. It truly is an Italian staple and a Boston Classic! I am a sucker for the majority of places that promote and sell to the public the local or imported ingredients and produce that are used in the making of the speciality menu items that make the spot a household name. Truly a traditional and classic Italian spot that speaks to the inner Paisan inside. It's like stepping into a part of Italy when you walk in here. The place is oozing with class and history, along with a mouthful of delicious stories to hear and sample from the staff that breathe life Into this place. The only bad thing is the limited seating. Thankfully though, there's a local park down the road that you can sit at while you enjoy this wonderful Boston Gem.

The bakery is cash only and sells a variety of breads: baguettes, ciabatta, sourdough, & olive bread. In addition to the sfogliatelle, they sell muffins, croissants, and focaccia and muffins. The sfogliatelle was pretty good, the pastry was crispy and flaky and the lemon ricotta filling was very rich and creamy. I would've loved to have a couple loaves of the bread, but there was no way I was going to be able to bring it home as I was already maxed out with my carry ons!

The inside is pretty small so make sure you get a reservation ahead of time. In the warmer months you can sit outside but we sat at the bar since it was too cold outside and the regular seating was all booked up. The bar seating is tight so beware if you have a big jacket or bag with you! We ordered the celery Cesar, cavatelli, and margarita pizza. The celery Cesar was interesting. It's literally thin pieces of celery tossed in Cesar dressing. It immediately reminded me of the small side you get when you order buffalo wings -- not exactly in a good way. The cavatelli was delicious and perfect to split. My friend and I split the salad, pasta and pizza which was great. The portions were just right and this meant for an inexpensive dinner for each of us which you love to hear. The margherita pizza was good but nothing that'll blow you away. The slices are tinyyyy though. My friend took home the pizza leftovers (2 slices) but we almost left them on the plate because that's how small they were. All in all it was a cute spot and I'd be interested in trying other menu items!
